Issues with hotel:
1. Breakfast, although included in our rate was terrible. Orange juice squash and some sweaty pink meat standing in for the real thing just two examples of the issues here. Serving also concluded at 10.30. We therefore ate at the Presidente next door each morning where we were able to enjoy a full English(with proper bacon) that included coffee and proper fresh orange juice for €6.50. Or alternatively a Spanish equivalent for €3.50. Fantastic.
2. We had to move rooms twice, initially due to proximity of elevators and corridor noise but also due to the sewage stink which some of this hotel appears to suffer with and also the small uncomfortable bed. The choice offered was either broken old and lumpy or rock hard make your joints hurt.
3. Although booking a premium room (whatever this means) when we enquired about switching to a twin we were advised this would cost us extra to switch.
4. The room we ended up in would only push hot or hotter air into the room regardless of setting. So we ended up sleeping with the patio door open each night.
5. The shower was a joke. A single fixed point on the side wall with a shower attachment that would be perfectly suited to someone shorter that 4ft6. Ideal if the person was also happy for a constant fluctuating temperature. Having also showered in the spa and experiencing the same temperature related issue we assume this was a hotel wide problem.
Finally a message to the management of the hotel:
I had earlier written a review and at that time had planned to give this hotel two or even three stars, the spa after all was very good.
However, due to the failure to fix any reported issue, while provide false information regsrding room rates, while all the time pursuing and hounding us in order to seek an improvement to our review score is frankly outrageous. We were so concerned by this behaviour that we actively sought to avoid the hotel common areas each day incase we were further harassed.
Subsequently, we have no interest or intention to return to this hotel, or speak to with you any further about any of this. A bad experience left well behind and I am sure you will ignore all of this just as you did while we were unfortunately resident.

I was a little worried about coming to Benidorm due to its reputation of being somewhat tired…….
However this hotel put our minds at ease. Check in was easy and the staff were courteous and professional. The room was modern, clean and spacious so what is not to love ❤️
The pool area again was clean and tidy with plenty of sun beds available all day every day.
The drinks from the bar were of a good standard and excellent value for money.
Thank you Helios hotel for restoring my faith in Benidorm 😎
Highly recommended to one and all 😊

Im often in Benidorm. For the first time in Helios Hotel and shure, not the last time. Reception very friendly . All the staff nice and happy. Room perfect and clean. Great Breakfast. Nice little Spa for relaxing. Only one little thing: the GYM is poor maximum points

Hotel Helios Benidorm, what an amazing place, came here after our first night in another hotel where the beds were so uncomfortable and I’m glad we did, our 1st night here the gave us 2 bottles of lager in our room and tonight we have been surprised with a bottle of fizz and a bowl of goodies for my birthday tomorrow, such a lovely thing to do! Would highly recommend coming here!

The Helios Benidorm is a lovely, clean Hotel.
The breakfast is unbelievable, so much food to choose from. But the best thing is the service and staff. As a solo traveller each and everyone of them made me feel so safe and checked all the time if I needed anything. Thank you Julia & team xx
