We had a wonderful stay at Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort. The hotel is very well organized and offers a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.
If you want a relaxing holiday, friendly staff, great entertainment and activities for children, I highly recommend it.
The staff deserve special praise. Everyone, from housecleaning and restaurant staff to the animation team, works with dedication and a smile. I also don't fully understand the complaints about waiting times at the bars. The hotel was very busy, yet the staff did their best to serve guests as quickly as possible.
A few minor points: the quality of the food varied somewhat from day to day, and we had to reactivate our room key cards several times during our stay.
But overall we enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks!

We absolutely loved this hotel and had an amazing holiday! The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming.
A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who really made our holiday so much fun. They were incredibly entertaining, full of energy, and worked so hard every day to create a fantastic atmosphere. There was always something going on, from fun daytime activities to brilliant evening entertainment, and they made sure everyone felt included. A special thank you to Gonçalo, who was fantastic, but every member of the team deserves recognition for their enthusiasm, friendliness, and the effort they put into making everyone’s holiday so enjoyable.
Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Stayed here for 11 nights early June. The resort is excellent, with a beach and shopping mall with a large Spar super market next to the hotel, beneath the mall is a variety of restaurants and a decent size play area for the little ones.
The room was a good size with a huge bed, the bathroom was good the shower had very good pressure and the shower head had different settings.
It says there is a mini bar in the room but it was just an empty fridge and no bath robes. The rooms are a bit dated and not cleaned. The doors to the balcony were very dirty.
The only bar that was open was the Lobby Bar with long queues I waited 20mins to be served. I got served then joined the back of the queue and had finished my drink by the time I got served again.
The restaurant was busy but the food was very good.
The staff here work so hard, working at the pool bar, restaurant and lobby bar all day.
It is only a 4 euro taxinride to the small town with plenty of shopsnandnplaces to eat. Go to Oconnors forna irish breakfast. I would highly recommend this resort especially for families.

Very good hotel, it is now few times that we visit the hotel. Everytime same great atmosphere, very helpful reception. Food is great, everyone will find something to eat. Pools are great, one pool is heated all year long. The pool bar Arrecife very nice, thanks to Paula for her great service with serving drinks! The beach is just in front of the Hotel, great location. We will be back there for sure again 🙋

Overall we have come back from a lovely holiday as a Family of three, 2 adults, 1 child - its what you make it.
Hotel - upon arrival it looks great from the outside, the reception area is spacious and bright.
Rooms - average decor, cleaned daily but towels often left unchanged
Restaurant - Food is average but something for everyone, the space is really quite dark and uninviting and not enough staff in terms of ratio to tables, you often have to ask and wait on tables being cleared and then wait again to be able to order drinks, staff however are friendly enough, just run off their feet,
Air-conditioning also drips on tables depending where you are sat, not pleasant or hygienic
Bars - prepare for queues, again, not enough staff and slow moving, the only quick beverages on offer are when you help yourself to water and soft drinks, though this is only at the pool bar, not the evening bar upstairs.
Toilets - Poolside toilets are not nice. Toilet rolls not changed or refilled enough, toilet paper often all over the floor and still there hours later, has a genreally feel of uncleanliness.
Entertainment - Childrens entertainment and the Animation team are great, they are non stop, throught the day and night, downside is the entertainment is dotted around, poolside, conference hall and Sinatra bar so if you wanted to sit in one place for the evening, that's not possible and no bars other than the main bar itself
On site Italian - You will be given a voucher for the Italian which is located in the poolside bar, its complementary and its 1 visit within your stay, it was rubbish, food was bland, minimal food for children (in my opinion) only 2 members of staff so we sat with empty plates for 15 minutes while the staff were no where to be seen on the restaurant floor so we left before any dessert, just not acceptable
Sunbeds - unless your up and putting towels out by 8am you will be hard pushed to get a sunbed. There is no system so everyone gets up and does the same.
Pools - the pools are decent enough, one cold, one heated a hot tub and a kids splash pool with slide
The day before we left there was some maintenance taking place around the pool, painting etc which is definitely much needed and ahead of their peak season.
This is my personal opinion and if your heading there in Summer - I wish you luck, I can't even begin the imagine the carnage.
My rating and opinions are based on this being advertised as a 4 star location, I would strongly disagree.
