We have just come back from this hotel, there was 2 of us we did do a booking through Woucher so we didn’t expect much but this is under standard. We booked bed & breakfast 5 days for two. Firstly I have to say the staff are lovely and will help the best they can but sometimes the language barrier can be a little different to communicate. However the hotel is very run down and old looking the photos on the website make it look better than what it is. The rooms have a damp smell to them and very dark and dingy. The plugs and air con unit are hanging and have tape round the wires. During our stay the maid opened our door turn the light on in the bathroom and turned it back off again and walked out without a knock or hola house keeping even through we put the sign on the door saying Do Not Disturb. Also the luggage room is full with old stuff and very random so when checking out we had to leave our case in the corner at reception as we had a late flight coming home. The food looks like it had been sitting there for a few days, mouldy pineapple, bacon in the eggs which isn't fair on vegans, hard pastry’s. So we had to get food out every day in the mornings as we wasn’t going to risk eating it. Also it doesn’t give you much hope when a taxi driving drops you off back at the hotel and turn round and says ‘this hotel is not good’ and pointed to the hotel next door to us and says ‘this hotel is similar in price and is much better your hotel isn’t a nice hotel’ So if that doesn’t give you much conscience from the cab driver I hope this review will however the pool area needs little improving but overall is quite nice and doesn’t get very busy can easy get a sunbed in the sunshine or shade. But if you looking for a nice relaxing affordable, modern hotel then this isn’t the place for you. I will be avoiding this hotel forever but the location is really good as it’s near to the beach about 5 mins walk, shops near by and it’s in the middle of old town so easy access to taxi or if you wanted to walk is not far from many places.

Hotel Mareny is situated near to the beach and the old town just a five minute walk to both. The hotel rooms were basic but spotless clean with free Aircon, and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A good budget hotel for a short break in Benidorm.

I find it so difficult to find fault with this hotel! It is spotlessly clean! And the staff are efficient and so eager to please.
Gonzalez in the bar deserves a 5 star review of his own! Reception staff too were marvellous. The decor is dated and if I’m honest an upgrade would benefit 100%. However everything is clean and bright and airy. The air conditioning in the rooms is efficient and I would recommend the place without hesitation.

AC was very nice and cool worked well food was delicious and staff were always helpful.
In a great location not far from old town and local amenities such as shops.
