Santa Barbara Hotel - Simply Fantastic.
It was our first trip to Tenerife and wanted somewhere a big quieter for our honeymoon.
Hotel is a 5 Star Experience - From booking they help you, they arranged private transfer from the airport (it is expensive when you do private as you can't split the cost, but we wanted it as we had no idea where to go and what to do, worked out great though) This saved us hours, there was 1,000s queing for buses and taxis, we had a blacked out Merc people carrier waiting for us. As soon as you enter and do the whole check in they set you up on WhatsApp with their team, at any point they will help and arrange things. if you need transfers, whatsapp them, new towels, sheets, refuse bags anything at all they will help.
The facilities, the pool is great and you can book sunbeds in advance so your not fighting for it throughout the day, they have a good rules in place if you book a sunbed and your not down by 10:30am it becomes free to use, I've seen confusion and people say you've taken my spot to others as they had argued they booked it (time would be around 11:15ish). It stops people from abusing the system. If you are an afternoon pooler (we were) you can book the pool in the afternoon. The pool bar was great often having happy hour and cheap beers. The pool food was decent but was very cheap (the area is affluent with food options, promenade behind the hotel we found some great gems)
The main bar upstairs is nicer for food, they often advertise in reception what sports are on in the evening.
They have a mini supermarket and souvenir shop on site, they have a small play park for young kids, an arcade games room for kids a bit older. They have an excursion team set up in reception that will book your tours and collection/transport to those tours.
We had a family apartment, 1 bedroom (+ sofa bed) 1 main bathroom, 1 ensuite both equipped with showers, a really big balcony with tables and chairs along with 2 sun loungers, a fully working kitchen with filtered drinking water, a large fridge
We had to check out early at 10am as per hotel policy they give you free luggage storage and allow you to book a courtesy room ( a large room with a little seating area, changing table, 2 toilets, 3 sinks and 2 showers. Which suited us to the ground as we checked out our flight was not until (7pm) we left our luggage in a very secure room, walked around and done some last minute bits. Came back had showers collected bags and jumped in the transport they arranged for us to go back to the airport.
It is one of the cheaper hotels in the area and they are fantastic, most things are onsite and the only thing you can knock it for is location. Everything in Golf Del Sur is relaxed, it's not filled with tourist or street sales or anything but you are a bit away from the beaches and the nightlife (if that's what you want) the bus stop on Puebla Primavera is about a 5 minute walk, the bus to Los Cristianos (483) comes once an hour (takes 20 mins) and is about €1.75, the bus is often packed. A taxi to the very centre of Los Cristianos is about €20-25.
If you need supplies there is a great HiperDino in Las Chafras which you can take the 415, 470 or 483 to El Guincho and walk about 5 mins too. It has everything from fresh meats, Breads, cheeses and everything else you could hope to find. We loved the area we were in and made efforts to visit other areas of the island, it is a little bit out of the way, but ideal for a quiet relaxing location. Lack of being near some golden beaches is the only downfall.
We have discussed about returning to Tenerife next year and plan to request the same room at the same place!
Definitely check it out especially if you have children, they are so accommodating

We are currently staying here for a 21-night stay, and I wanted to leave a review that reflects the full experience — including how well the team handled an initial issue.
On arrival, we were allocated an apartment that unfortunately received very limited sunlight due to its position. As first-time guests, this was something we couldn’t have known in advance, and for a long winter stay it was difficult. We raised this with reception early on, and I would genuinely like to commend the team for how they handled the situation.
Although the resort was very busy, the staff listened, kept us informed, and clearly did their level best to find a solution. We were subsequently moved to a different apartment, and the difference has been huge. The new room is bright, sunny, comfortable, and has completely transformed our stay.
What really stood out was the professionalism, patience, and courtesy shown by the staff throughout. These things aren’t always easy to resolve, and it was reassuring to stay somewhere that takes guest feedback seriously and works hard to put things right.
The resort itself is well maintained, clean, and in a great location, and now that we are settled, we are thoroughly enjoying our holiday.
One small point worth mentioning for non-smokers is that while smoking is not permitted inside the apartments (with a fine applied), it is allowed on balconies. This will of course suit smokers, but it is something non-smokers may wish to be aware of, particularly if neighbouring balconies are occupied.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would like to thank the reception and management team for their efforts in resolving our concerns and helping us enjoy the remainder of our holiday.

Absolutely loved my short weekend stay at Santa Barbara. Hotel is immaculate and everywhere you looked, it was like a postcard.
It can get a bit confusing at first to try and find where to go, especially if your room is on the ends of the hotel but it's very accessible and lots of lifts and ramps which is useful for those with buggies or in a wheelchair. Level 4 is where reception and the entrance of the hotel is so keep that in mind when entering a lift to go out - level 4 is basically level 0.
Pool is a decent size and well cleaned by staff. You can book sunbeds in advance so there isn't a scramble for them every day.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing aqua aerobics with Eduardo!
I was very kindly upgraded to room 856 on the upper floor which is a 6-person apartment with balcony with sea view, and had winding staircase leading up to the topmost floor which had a jacuzzi and sunbeds that were secluded.
Room comes equipped with a full kitchen with all amenities and this was a god send for days you don't feel like going out. There is a filtered water tap so dont make the mistake of buying bottled water from the local Corivan shop.
The staff were friendly and spoke different languages and cleaning staff were angels.
Location of hotel is decent with a few restaurants within 5min walking distance nearby however it is away from the tourist hubbub so if you fancied something like a kebab or to do any excursions, it was a 25min cab ride away.
I wish I could have stayed longer! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Good location only 20euros in taxi from airport.
Very helpful friendly staff. We stayed for 4 days and were given a free room upgrade to apartment with sunbathing platform and jacuzzi.
We ate in the hotel restaurant one night, well worth a visit and reasonable prices.
They have a good system where every pair of sunbeds have a number and you can book the night before (free) if you want am pm or both. If you book and haven't occupied you lose your bed.
Pool towels are 2euros to rent.
Bus to Las Americas is a few euros.
Will be going back

Absolutely loved our stay here. Didnt want to leave 😔
Have visited Tenerife for many years and this has got to be one of my favourite places now in Golf del Sur. Hotel is absolutely beautiful. Good size apartments. We booked a 1 bedroom but upon arrival was allocated a 2 bedroom. Has absolutely everything you can think of! Views are stunning from the rooms. Lovely pool area and no stress of sun bed wars here!! Great booking of the sunbeds which is a great idea. Loved the roof top terrace on an evening. Lovely cocktails 🍸 👌
Great location and in walking distance to San Blas where good selection of resteraunts if wanting to try other places.
Santa Barbara Resorts have won me over so much so we are now looking to return in the coming months.
Absolutely amazing!! Thank you to Santa Barbara Resort.
See you again very soon.
