Just arrived back having had a lovely time at this spotless hotel. We found the staff were absolutely lovely. And very very helpful. I am sorry I did not get the receptionists name but she had been there for 20 years, was so helpful and helped us book a trip. The friendliest hotel we have been in so far.
The hotel was very clean.
The apartment was huge and spacious and was well equipped with everything you could think off, we had a lovely sea view from our balcony.
Can't believe people moan about extra costs, the safe was free and also the air conditioning you did not have to pay extra for. That was a really bonus.
The courtesy room was lovely at the end of our holiday showers, sockets to plug your own hair devices in. As well as a hairdryer.
The hotel is situated in a really nice area handy for lots of good local restaurants all good and reasonably priced. A good walk along the promenade reached from a gate by the swimming pool, to San Blas and a small fishing village Los Abrigos.
The hotel bar and cafe were also very reasonably priced as well.
Will definitely return and would highly recommend.
The only suggestion I would make would be to have some more traditional music and dancing for entertainment as opposed to a singer with a backing track.

Santa Barbara offers excellent service and a breathtaking view. It is located in the southern part, with easy access to any place you may want to visit. It also has a beautiful swimming pool and interesting activities. Our room had everything we needed, and we could prepare food inside whenever we wanted. The reception staff were very friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. I would definitely come back again.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because it was lovely in many ways, but a few things held me back:
1. Noise from above – For the first three days, we had to put up with constant heavy stamping from the apartment above. This wasn’t just during the day, but late at night as well, keeping us awake. At times it even felt intentional, because whenever we muted the TV to record it, the noise suddenly stopped. It was far worse than what you’d expect from normal children running around — very frustrating and disrespectful. Yes, we could have complained to reception, but realistically the only “solution” would have been us packing up and moving, which would’ve felt like a punishment when we hadn’t done anything wrong.
2. Extra charges for towels – You get charged for using pool towels unless you bring your own.
3. Games machines – The arcade felt like a bit of a scam. Air hockey lasted barely a minute for €1, and the basketball game didn’t even register half the shots, making it impossible to progress.
4. Paid parking – Everyone has to pay for parking, disabled or not. This feels really unfair. If you’re staying at the hotel, parking should be included, or at the very least free for disabled guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Spa charges – You also have to pay extra for the spa (€10 for just 1 hour). Honestly, this is ridiculous. Set a fair price for staying at the hotel and stop adding hidden extras. Be clear upfront about what costs more and what doesn’t.
6. Another nightmare neighbour – On top of the noise from above, we ended up next to someone who must have been on something, because they spent all day slamming doors so hard the bed actually shook at one point. And this wasn’t because we were loud — we were just watching TV on volume 10 in the middle of the day. Yet later, we came back from dinner to find them blasting music way louder than our TV ever was. The double standards from some people here are outrageous, and the lack of control over it ruined the “relaxation” part of our trip.
Overall, the hotel itself was nice, but the constant noise and endless extra charges completely killed the experience. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.

Wonderful hotel. We had a 2 bedroom unit with a massive balcony. Very clean and staff were great. Beautiful views over the sea. I love the way you book sun beds for the next day so no rushing down with towels to reenact the Normandy landings. Brilliant.
