We are currently staying at this hotel as a couple in a family room and have had a wonderful experience so far.
Everything is very clean, and our room features a huge balcony that we really enjoy. The staff are exceptionally friendly and always helpful. There is live music from time to time, which creates a pleasant atmosphere.
The food is good, and the drink prices are very reasonable. Our room has been partially renovated and includes new seating furniture, which makes it comfortable and inviting. The kitchenette is a bit dated, but since we do not use it anyway, that is not an issue. It does have a modern refrigerator / modern electrical devices, which is a nice touch.
Overall, we are having a very enjoyable holiday and are very happy with our stay so far. Thank you!

We had a great stay at The Royal Sun Resort, Our room and balcony were huge, full kitchen, huge shower room, massive balcony(don't do what we did and manage to lock ourselves outside..lol). Buffet was ok, there's always something for everyone to eat, my breakfast of pancakes, bacon and fruit was great. Fantastic having a shop in the hotel for drinks or munchie bits, saves you a trip to Lidl.. The views from the hotel are amazing, watching the sun set over the sea was great. Great swimming pool with amazing views. The walk to the nearest beach near the harbour was ok, people with walking issues just get a cab down and definitely get one going back up for 5euro.. Black Sand! ya forget how hot that gets..lol We took a bus 477 to Adeje about 20mins on bus, loverly beach and swimming area and a bit more going on, great water inflatables for kids in the sea, great places to eat and drink 1.5euro for a cold beer.. tapas and sea food was amazing and fresh. We had a great stay and would definitely go back, some building work is going on in and around the hotel but they try to keep you out the way of it. I loved our stay...

This was our 3rd visit to The Royal Sun Resort. Its high up on the hill in Los Gigantis so there is a bit of walking into the main town centre, probability 10-15 mins downhill but a bit longer for us coming back up.
It's quiet, has amazing views over the town, harbour, water and opposite island.
The apartment is a great size. There is a proper lounge area with sofa bed and TV, a separate bed room and a reasonable size kitchen area complete with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. There are plates, crockery and pots if you want to self catering. (There is a supermarket slightly down the hill) and a shop on site at the hotel if you dont want to carry big bottles of water up the hill.
The balcony is huge, comes with 4 sunloungers, a table and chairs.
We have always stayed half board and happy with the food. I'm quite fussy, and while not every theme night is my favourite, there is always something foe me to have. There is usually a selection of dishes to chose from and some fresh cooked chicken, lamb or pork to choose from. Soup, salads, main courses, deserts and cheese are all available. Breakfast has a huge choice of fruit, cold meats, cooked breakfast, eggs, porridge and omelette can be cooked to order. Because we are half board, there was a selection of cold meats, cheese, salad, bread, yoghurt, fruit, juice and water waiting for us in our room as we arrived at the resort around 10pm.
There is on site entertainment in the evenings and activities during the day such as bingo, yoga, and other poolside things (we don't join in). If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday i would recommend the Royal Sun. Its always been clean, good food and a relaxing time (apart from the hill, but its worth it for the views).

Lovely hotel in Los Gigantes, perfect with a rental car to explore the island, touristy but calm. It's a nice walk down to the beach and restaurants, a bit more tyring back up the hill. Parking was available by the street for free during our stay, but hotel parking also available for 7€ if needed. Appartments are very spacious and super clean, with a big balcony with amazing seaview, sun chairs and table/chairs for 6 people. Kitchen very well equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, big fridge, microwave. Seating counter for 3. The pool was fresh, not really warm/heated in April but bearable. Nice sundeck protected from wind most days. We chose the breakfast option, which was amazing! Buffet with a great variety including fresh eggs/ omelette, pancakes, bread and pastries, fresh fruit buffet, and coffee/tea options and even Cava. Day time and evening entertainment offered as well as half-and full-board, and also day trips can be booked via the hotel, so a rental car not a necessity. But nice to have to explore the rest of the island if staying for longer than a few days.

I have stayed at the Royal Sun on numerous occasions since it first opened many years ago. It remains my first choice for accommodation in Los Gigantes. The rooms are airy and spacious, in fact they are not rooms, they are like of a small apartment, with separate bedroom, kitchen/living area and seperate large bathroom, plus a large balcony, with stunning views, some have hot tubs also. The informal buffet restaurant has the same great views, and lovely staff. My only very small criticism is that the buffet food can be a bit on the cool side, but there is a microwave available should you need it. All in all 5 stars from me.
