I want to start by saying that my friend’s overall experience at Old Vic Hotel was very positive. The hotel staff were kind, welcoming, and the accommodations were comfortable, it’s clear that the hotel maintains high standards and genuinely cares about its guests.
However, I feel compelled to share a concerning experience regarding a specific staff member, Mr. Islam, which affected my friend personally. During his extended stay, my friend paid for most of his accommodation, but there were a few days he did not settle immediately. He trusted Mr. Islam to handle the payments properly, even asking him to allocate a portion as a tip for hotel staff. Unfortunately, despite repeated reminders over the course of five months, the funds were never fully returned, and my friend experienced ongoing delays and excuses.
This situation was less about the money itself and more about the treatment and communication, which was disappointing and unprofessional. It is unfortunate, because the hotel itself was excellent and hospitable, and my friend enjoyed his stay apart from this issue.
I hope this feedback helps the management ensure that such matters are handled more transparently in the future, so that guests can fully enjoy the otherwise excellent experience that Old Vic Hotel offers.

This place should not exist on google maps! It is horrible! Starting from the food which in the morning it is the same- no dishes on the table or napkins! Lunch and dinner it is better but service is awfull, soup good but to get a spoon you have to wait a lot! Some meals are cold and uncooked, the waiters only man that speak no english and russian a bit, always scandal between them and also very agressive when cleaning the tables! Rooms are like his name OLD- furniture, bed, toilet not clean, cleaning the room when you go and talk to reception! And all staff expecting to tip! And high price for beer and anything else out of all inclusive which gives you terrible drinks! And no wifi!

The staff are friendly, but the rooms aren't the cleanest (although they are huge). The all inclusive is OK, but wine is not included in it and you can't have an alcoholic drink with any meal which is a bit weird.
The pools are lovely and you get a new pool towel every day. The all inclusive drinks are a bit hit and miss, it doesn't start till 11am and often the bar is shut randomly throughout the day.
It is definitely worth paying $6 a night for an upgrade to a pool facing room, as the one we originally had overlooked a random alley that they rattled bottles along at all hours.
It's been lovely for a 4 night break but I wouldn't come back.

Staff are fantastic wonderful friendly accommodating and supportive but the WiFi is terrible and very annoying to keep re installing over and over. Restaurant times not great and rooms are ok but problems with Tv overall nice pleasant experience and would recommend for a quick get away for a good price. Clean and food decent

Rooms are terrible and dirty. Everything is broken, lihgt bulbs are not replaced. Door enter cards won't work. Windows are broken and not sealed so a lot of noise from the street. Food plates and cups are broken and dirty. Barmen drinks himself at the bar and one time even vomited on the floor. Don't take taxi from hotel it charges 5x time more. Instead use app for taxi InDrive. Food is average but there is some days when you can see that they are using previuos day food. Alcohol is very bad.
