My vacation at Motto Hotel has come to an end. I rarely write reviews, but this time I really felt I had to.
Hotel – Beautiful interior and modern rooms.
Service – The staff are polite and do their best, but the head restaurant manager is impossible to watch. He always looks unhappy and constantly shouts at the staff.
Beach – The hotel has its own beach, but there are only about 15 sunbeds. You have to reserve one early in the morning because later they are occupied by guests from other hotels, while Motto guests are left without a place to relax. The staff do not seem to care.
Sea – The views are absolutely stunning, and the water is very clean, but it is quite cold.
Food – Simply terrible. Please note that the hotel operates on an à la carte concept, not all-inclusive. You order from a menu that never changes. The food is not tasty. Breakfast is exactly the same every day for seven days. For lunch and dinner, there are a few more options, but they are not good either. The only dish I really enjoyed was the grilled fish.
Housekeeping – During our 7-day stay, the floor was not cleaned even once. Housekeeping was terrible, and everything remained dirty. We reported it to the reception, but no one responded.
Overall, I have traveled to many countries and stayed in many hotels, but I have never experienced such a disappointing hotel—not even in Egypt. 🫣 I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for a vacation. At best, it is suitable for a one-night stay.
I honestly wonder who writes all those positive reviews that convinced me to book this hotel.

The location of the hotel is good, the room was clean when we checked in and the breakfast was good. It was à la carte rather than a buffet, and those were the highlights of our stay.
Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. For a 4 star hotel, the housekeeping was far below the standard we expected. We selected “Please Clean Up” on multiple occasions, yet we still had to go to reception to ask for our room to be cleaned. When we complained about the poor cleaning, we were blamed because the towels and pillows were on the floor, even though the hotel instructs guests to leave towels on the bathroom floor if they want them replaced.
The bed sheets were not changed on the scheduled day, there was still hair in the shower drain, and hair remained on the floor after housekeeping had supposedly cleaned the room. The air conditioning was also very weak unless it was left running constantly, taking hours to cool the room. We also had to wait a long time when we called room service to request a simple item.
We informed the reception about our disappointment, but instead of taking responsibility, we were told that they would “do what they can” now by changing the sheets and that we could speak with the housekeeping company manager the following day. Since our check-out was the next day, this solution did not make sense to us. The issue should have been addressed during our stay, not after we had already left.
Housekeeping is one of the most important parts of any hotel stay. A clean room is essential for guests to feel comfortable, and unfortunately that was not our experience. Based on our stay, we do not understand how this hotel qualifies as a 4 star hotel, and sadly we will not be returning.

Beautiful hotel. Had a great view over the bay from our balcony. Very clean room and hotel. Great location to all amenities and the beach. We visited a bit early in the season and so the outside pool was closed but they had an indoor pool with the gym. The biggest benefit for us was definitely the attached spa. The convenience to be able to just stay in the hotel and enjoy a Turkish bath and massage was amazing. They had amazing trained staff that made the experience unforgettable. Just wasn’t quite ready for the season yet. The food in the restaurant “Happily” was amazing and we loved the traditional Turkish breakfast included with our booking. The seafood and chicken dishes were also very well prepared. Our servicer seemed new at his position and so was a little scattered but super friendly. The language barrier needed a bit more patience and worked out well. The only negative we had was due to being there early in the season, there was A LOT of construction all around us. I’m a very light sleeper and made the request for a quiet room that unfortunately just didn’t work well for the week we stayed. Next time I’ll bring ear plugs and there will definitely be a next time. I feel there is great potential for the property and it’s worth another try.

Fantastic hotel. Would highly recommend. The hygiene standards are exceptional. The reception go above and beyond to meet our requests .. The food in the restaurant Happily is very good and waiters are helpful. It’s a boutique hotel and was perfect for my husband and I. Will definitely visit again

When we are check out from it to other hotel in Marmaris I realised that I left my gym shorts at my room, I went back to hotel in few hours to get them back and on reception rang cleaners and they said that nothing was in a room... location was terrible, our room balcony was facing old swimming looked like a old green swap and bags of construction rubbish around it and next door to it was a night club so music was pumping HARD every night till midnight, so basically its no chance to fall asleep before a midnight....
Bed was terrible, it was 2 single beds together with a decent gap and firm as a rock. Make sure you take everything from a room before you check out, otherwise don't be surprised if it disappears.
