I've never posted a review but my stay was so appalling that I had to.
Normally when I go to hotels I expect to have a chill relaxing stay that makes me want to come back but from the first day of this hotel I wanted to just go home.
I'll start with the rooms it was horrible in the 7 nights and 6 days that we stayed the room was not cleaned once, we had to ask them to clean the room halfway through as the floor was stained and dirty, but through the whole stay the beds were not changed once in other hotels they are changed daily, the balcony was also very visible and open to the neighbours giving almost no privacy as one time the children across began looking at us through the balcony. They put us in a floor that was still being renovated rubbish was everywhere you went there would be dust and through the day we would hear drilling and construction taking place. The roof of the building we were in was also damaged meaning rain during our stay would leak through and make all the floor outside our rooms wet.
In terms of services it was so poor I genuinely couldn't believe this was a 4 star hotel. Starting with reception when we first arrived the person at the front wouldn't give us a 2nd room card and we would have to buy one instead. The wifi prices were absurd 15 euros for 7 days I decided to just buy an eSIM that I could use anywhere and had 10gb which was plenty for me. The towels given to us daily made me sick to my stomach everyday there would be yellow black and brown stains that made me even scared to use them and these weren't small they were large stains that covered lots of the towel. The food was horrendous, same thing everyday with no variety except for the grill that "changed" everyday during lunch for 6/6 days it was just grilled chicken. And if you like chips and onion rings for breakfast go ahead because I dont get how thats something someone would want for breakfast yet they still served it. Dinner is absolute chaos the hotel is very under prepared for the amount of people they host, Around 50 people before dinner opens at 7 just stand waiting , and want some meat for dinner good luck not trying to fall asleep having to wait 20 minutes for the 25 people infront of you waiting to get there grill as they continue to prepare more. Not to forget that during this they had to bring extra seating and put people in the middle of the restaurant with bar chairs and tables. The bar staff were pretty ok but 1/2 one of them was on there phone and there was no queue or anything sometimes you would have to wait 5 minutes to get a drink as they take someone else's order who just came. Everywhere I went I felt I was getting weird looks by staff which had never happened to me anywhere before. And the snack bar staff were making me feel very uncomfortable asking questions that I didn't want to answer I just wanted to get some food. The only people I would appreciate here were the spa staff who were always very polite. The pool is very unsafe there were sharp plastic bits that had not been cleaned and kept poking me when I tried stepping. When we went to the reception to try ask some stuff about the rooms they seamed very dismissive careless and lazy we asked this girl something and she had to get another woman to translate the English, I feel like if you are going to work in a place for international guests you should know English. Most people here are Russian and to be honest very rude when I was at the restaurant I was asked if somebody could take a chair multiple times however each time I got asked in Russian which I think is quite rude to just assume where someone is from. The beach snack bar also has no plates so there is no way to take any food. To be honest just dont come here even if you find a good deal I would rather take a week off and spend it at home, all it is a Turkish and Russian Hotspot and the closest city is a almost 45 minutes bus ride

It was really nice holiday. Great service, super animation team, well located and fabulous around the hotel with lots of green scenery. Food was OK. Unfortunately the hotel has a big issue with house keeping, rooms looks old and dirty, tables and chairs in restaurant with sticking out paint, even sofas in lobby/reception covered with stains.

This place is a 3 star at best. It was like going back in time. Dartboard with 1dart, table tennis with no balls. No arcade, no pool table. Full of cats even in the restaurant. Furniture falling apart in the bar area and the restaurant. This place is in dier need of a revamp.

I’ve never had to go home early from a holiday in my life — until this one. We actually checked out two days early from Lykia Botanika in Fethiye and drove five hours in the rain to Antalya just to escape. It cost us over £400 in travel changes.
We’ve been to Turkey several times and always rave about how warm, kind and hard-working the people are. It’s one of the main reasons we keep coming back — the staff usually make the trip special. Sadly, Lykia Botanika was the complete opposite, they must hire everyone who can't get a job elsewhere. I honestly don’t know how this hotel is still operating.
From the moment we arrived, things were a disaster. The grounds were pitch-black at night with no lighting anywhere — genuinely dangerous to walk around. We found broken glass around the pool, holes in the paths and raised manholes, and flooding on both our first and last day. Parts of the ceiling had collapsed, closing off some of the shops. Outside our room sat a pile of rubbish — including a dirty mattress and food trays — that stayed there all week, crawling with ants.
Inside the room at first glance wasn't too bad. However, it was never cleaned once during our entire stay. Towels were never replaced, and the soap and shower gel were completely empty from day one. Our bedding had stains that looked like urine and one pillowcase had something that honestly looked like blood. The curtains were literally screwed into place, so we couldn’t open them without pulling them off. The electrics kept cutting out too.
The staff were shockingly rude, easily the worst we’ve ever encountered. Almost every single person we spoke to claimed they didn’t speak English, which made even the simplest requests impossible. AVOID if you're British/Irish. Bar staff would literally stare at you instead of taking your order. Russians were clearly favoured, they were allowed to skip queues and got served cocktails we were told “didn’t exist.” I literally had an argument with the manager from the pool bar (rude girl in blue top) because she give them margaritas and then tell me they didn’t serve those when I asked for the same directly after. Every single bar people should be sacked. The only employees that were genuinely kind were in the spa where we collected our towels.
To make matters worse, the main bar actually closes at dinner time for cleaning, leaving one poor person serving the entire restaurant, the queue went the whole way across the room. Whoever thought that was a good idea clearly never worked in hospitality.
The food was dreadful. Cold chips, grey chicken, and an “à la carte” meal that was actually served in the snack bar — not a restaurant — with cold food that I assume was taken straight from the buffet. We spent so much money ordering in because it was genuinely inedible. Entertainment was almost non-existent, all the same boring repetitive songs, one night there was a DJ whose equipment didn’t even work properly.
I’ve never written a review like this before, but Lykia Botanika is easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s unsafe, dirty, mismanaged and staffed by people who clearly hate their jobs and their guests. Turkey is full of wonderful places with kind, hard-working staff - this place is absolutely not one of them.
Avoid at all costs.

Our experience at Lykia Botanika was unfortunately very underwhelming and frustrating. From the moment we arrived, there were consistent issues that made the stay far from enjoyable.
Firstly, the cleanliness throughout the hotel was a major concern. There was constantly food left in the hallways leading to our rooms, sometimes sitting for days before being cleaned up. This gave the whole place an unkempt and unhygienic feel.
Housekeeping was also extremely poor. We had to call reception every single day around 4pm just to get someone to clean our room — which often still looked untouched afterward. When I raised this with the receptionist, they unhelpfully claimed the room had already been cleaned and even blamed us for its condition, despite the fact that we had just returned and hadn’t even unpacked.
The reception staff were generally rude and unwelcoming. Anytime we asked a question or needed assistance, we were met with unenthusiastic, dismissive attitudes as if we were inconveniencing them by simply asking for help.
Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For the price we paid, we expected at least basic hospitality and cleanliness — neither of which we received.
