Beautiful Location, Severely Neglected Hotel — Not a 4-Star Experience
We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with one shared bathroom, and the only real positive is the location.
The hotel is set on a hill above Türunç, with stunning sea and town views and noticeably cooler weather than the coast. The setting itself is genuinely beautiful. Staff were polite, though we had little interaction with them.
Beyond that, the experience was very disappointing.
The apartment is heavily worn and clearly has not been properly maintained for years. It feels like ongoing upkeep has been largely ignored. Even basic structural elements are failing — the balcony door frame, for example, looked deteriorated.
The property is rated 4 stars, but in its current condition it is closer to 3 stars at best.
Cleanliness was also poor. The pillow had visible stains, and the “cleaning every two days” appeared to consist only of towel changes and bed making. Used cups were left unwashed, counter tops untouched and the floors did not feel properly cleaned.
The bathroom was the worst part of the stay. It was far beyond simply “dated” — it was neglected, with a strong sewage smell, an old and poorly maintained toilet, a slow-draining sink, and a problematic bathtub drain. It was so unpleasant that I avoided looking at it directly while using it.
The property clearly has good bones — the architecture, views, and location show what it once was — but it has been allowed to deteriorate significantly. It needs a full renovation and serious management attention.
There was also a sense that the hotel primarily caters to package holiday guests from a specific market, which may explain some of the mixed expectations versus reality. For independent travellers expecting a true 4-star standard based on listing and reviews, it is misleading.
The value for money was very poor. While the location and views are excellent and the staff were polite, everything else fell well below expectations.
In its current state, this is not a 4-star hotel experience.

We had the most wonderful stay. The resort is absolutely stunning, and every member of staff was so friendly and helpful nothing was ever too much trouble.
Set slightly up the mountain from the town, it offers beautiful views and a lovely peaceful atmosphere. There’s a free shuttle bus running throughout the day to and from the beach if you fancy exploring, but, you don’t need to leave. The resort has two fabulous pools, a gorgeous restaurant, a lovely new café, and a well-stocked mini market with all the essentials.
The spa is fantastic with several excellent treatments to choose from. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The resort is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and has everything you could need. There’s also plenty to keep children entertained, including tennis courts, a climbing wall, and small toddler area.
If you do want to head into town in the evening, taxis are reasonably priced at just under £5 each way.
I couldn’t recommend this resort highly enough. It has such a relaxed, chilled-out atmosphere, making it the perfect place to switch off and enjoy a truly restful holiday. Would happily return and have no problem recommending to friends and family.

Rooms are spacious and have everything you need in a self-catering accommodation. Bathroom towels and linen changed every two days. Cleanliness is exceptional - this is the only time I have not washed a glass or cup before using!
Staff are very friendly, welcoming, kind and helpful.
Service received was second to none.
Located in a very scenic spot with spectacular views of the bay. The resort has a well equipped games room and a gym and there is complimentary yoga 3 days a week.
Loryma Resort is a very relaxing environment. Overall a fabulous place to stay for a vacation.

we (family of 3 - parents and young adult daughter) stayed at loryma resort last week, and had a wonderful time. it is a beautiful resort, with many areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful view from its hilltop location. the resort features 3 pools - an outdoor pool overlooking the sea and town below, an indoor pool attached to the spa, and a shallower family pool perfect for those visiting with small children. there is also a spa - the sauna is open throughout the day, and you can book treatments in the hammam and massage rooms. the staff at the resort were so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, even contacting a doctor when one of our party had become unwell. the local town of turunç is scenic and pleasant, with many places to shop and eat, however we often dined at the resort, as there was a fantastic range of options. our accommodation was clean and well-maintained, with fans and air con to keep the indoor temperature down. the cleaning ladies were lovely, and made the spaces really well presented. we would also love to thank the whole team at loryma for their hospitality - especially akif, betül, jihad, dilek, handan, and angela, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was relaxing and memorable❤️ we will definitely return - from eleanor, lindsey and nick :)

We had an amazing stay at Loryma Resort in Marmaris. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning views. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile.
The food was delicious with plenty of choices every day, and the facilities were excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing family vacation. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Loryma Resort to anyone looking for a memorable holiday. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
