We stayed at this hotel for two weeks at the beginning of July and overall had a very good holiday.
The hotel's biggest advantage is its fantastic location. One side has direct access to the beach, while the other side opens onto the town with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and everything you need within walking distance.
The room was on the first floor. Although it was clean and comfortable, the hotel would definitely benefit from some renovation. The furniture is quite old and some areas could use updating.
The entire hotel was very clean. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day, and the restaurant and common areas were always spotless. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful.
The beach and the ocean were amazing—clean, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. Another big advantage was that there were always enough sunbeds available, even during the busy beginning of July, which is not always the case at other all-inclusive hotels.
The food was delicious. The selection was not very large and many dishes were similar from day to day, but everything we tried was fresh, tasty, and felt homemade. We especially enjoyed the quality of the food.
A special thank you goes to the entertainment team, especially LUCA. He was incredible—working with children during the day, leading activities, and entertaining everyone during the evening shows. His energy, kindness, and enthusiasm made a big difference. He deserves 6 out of 5 stars!
Another highlight was the VIOLINIST who played by the pool. She was absolutely outstanding—truly 6 out of 5 stars. I only wish she could also perform during the EVENING SHOWS because her TALENT deserves even MORE attention.
One small piece of advice for future guests: there is a MEDICAL CENTER directly opposite the hotel. UNFORTUNATELY, we had a very NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE there, so I would NOT RECOMMEND end using it.
Overall, despite a few minor things that could be improved, we had a wonderful holiday and would happily recommend this hotel. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!

We've been here for a few days now, and this is a wonderful hotel for the price. While it's not new, it's quite clean and well-maintained, and the food is top-notch, delicious, and well-balanced. The hotel is perfect for those looking for a quiet place to relax, with a gorgeous beach nearby and a lighthouse, shops, boutiques, and a bus stop within walking distance. The only downside is the lack of bedside sockets , there are only 3 entire the room (for The hairdryer, TV, and refrigerator). I'd like a couple more, but overall, it's manageable.

Spend almost 2 weeks here. Overall is not bad hotel but still missing some things for 4start hotel.

Hotel: its ok as price is not high, depends where you bough this. As I bought 6 months ago and price was lower around 40% then now. Room was good enough.
Food: is ok, but could have more choices
I would say its good hotel if you are 50+. Most visitors 70% are from Germany. Not much younger people here, at least during my vacation here.
Respect for Mr. Luca. Great performance. But i think bigger animation team would be better and would bring more activities as for younger people is not much to do.
What I didnt like is: they cut your wristband at check out and not let you enjoy final hours of hotel if you have late flight. Only for extra fee. Never had this experience at other hotels by lopesan or others. Always let people stay for lunch or sit by pool as respect.

We arrived 3 days ago at IFA Altamarena Hotel and we do not agree with some bad reviews posted here. We were actually pleasantly surprised because the staff here is very helpful, hard working and professional. We feel very welcome! The room (poolside) was spotless and has a high ceiling which makes it very spacious and the beds a very good (hard).
The restaurant is buffetstyle, with a saladebar, we had tuna fish with the famous papas arrugadas, but there was also rise or fries. Also pizza, pasta, vegetables and lots of desserts to choose from. Red and white wine, Sangria and beers are included and nòt diluted with water which some reviews suggest.
What this hotel has to offer most is it's location! Only a few minutes walk from the stunning beach. It's impressive! Overall IFA Altamarena has a relaxing atmosphere and that's exactly what we came here for. If you made plans to come to this hotel, don't forget to tip the staff once in a while because they deserve it!

The room that was presented was unclean and outdated, the door handle looked like it was barely held on, the safe was unusable, cabinets, dressing table and bathroom surfaces were sticky, stained and down right dirty, the bath tub had leftover hair and muck from previous visitors.
The view was awful from the balcony (not the room we was supposed to have) as we were faced towards a wall and other hotels near by.
The food although kept under hot lamps were cold or warm at best, the dinning room was messy and unclear where to get drinks and what drinks were available, the food itself was not up to standard that is shown through pictures on its website and expectations from reviews.
The service made us feel judged and like we were bothering the staff, while checking out early it took longer than normal.
We were ment to stay for 7 night and only managed one cause of the horrendous conditions we were under.
We would not recommend again.
