My stay was average overall, with both positive and negative aspects.
Room: The housekeeping service was acceptable and the room was kept reasonably clean. However, the mattress and pillows were quite uncomfortable, the air conditioning barely worked, and the room was not stocked with shower gel or shampoo, which was disappointing.
Pool: Unfortunately, the swimming pool was not clean and could definitely be better maintained.
Food: For a 3-star hotel, I wasn’t expecting luxury, but the food quality has noticeably declined compared to last year. There was less variety and the overall quality was below my expectations.
Reception: The reception seemed understaffed. We only received our room at around 4:00 PM, which is far too late after check-in.
Entertainment: The entertainment program was very basic. Fortunately, the FIFA World Cup matches were being shown, which made the evenings more enjoyable.
On the positive side, I really appreciated that the hotel serves bottled water and branded soft drinks instead of fountain drinks. They were also very generous with the water, always providing well-chilled bottles, which was a nice touch, especially during the hot weather.
Overall, this hotel has room for improvement. With better maintenance, improved food quality, and more attentive service, the experience could be much better.

You get what you pay for, its not luxury but we have had a great holiday!
The animation team are fantastic, especially gogo, kamatcho, Charlie, Ali and ala. They have made the holiday, bar staff are great to, nidhal is brilliant!
If you expect what you pay for you will have a lovely time!

Ali and Ala are absolutely amazing! They organise the best shows I have ever watched. Massive congratulations to the animation team, you are trully the best animators. Has so much fun participating and watching all the activities! I woul come back at Houda Hotel just ti watch you guys! HATS OFF TO THE ENTIRE TEAM!

My stay during peak season ( I know it has been a while since my stay) was very nice. The staff was excelent and they tried to accommodate everything. The golden rule here it is pretty clear " If you are nice we will be nice with you too ". The staff is overworked sadly. As well to make this review more clear I would rather make a pro and cons list.
Pro:
Reception accomdated an early check in without any extra fees since we arrived at the hotel at about 2 am and would have to check in only by lunch. And the management agreed to check in us early since they had anyways rooms available, a thing that was very appreciated by the tourism group we were in.
Very open employees, they are down to talk and explain if you treat them nicely.
Cleaning is done almost every day. However be aware that you will not get your clean towels instantly they will come usually around lunch to bring them.
A lot of entertainment, music, archery all sort of activities both for kids and adults.
Themed days.
Daily rotation of cocktail specialities.
If you request, you can get entire bottles of water to grab with you everywhere.
The beach has security and constant matienance. You will not have to worry about random vendors coming on you while sun bathing.
The sunbeds + straw umbrellas are free of charge and usually available all day long.
The water level is sweet as well, there are no sudden drops and there is a good area of swallow water where kids can stay in.
Normal rooms have AC via vents ( something nornal here) so don't be scared if you don't see a traditional AC unit.
The waterpark has a variety of slides for both adrenaline seekers and casuals.
The ability to go to a-la-carte restaurants for free once for each restaurant per stay, per person.
You can even get some decorated tables from time to time!
Cons:
Lack of cleaning supplies ( soap, shampoo. )
Very long queue times ( about 30 mins for the main meal times )
Some food can be rationed by staff due to the lack of supplies for that specific meal from the buffet.
The sea sadly can be filled at times with jellyfish and algae ( something that the hotel can't really control sadly )
No attractions nearby or large shopping malls. There is a small shopping center nearby tho!
You have to get a taxi to get anywhere if not a local since even local transit im this region is unreliable + a medium distance from the hotel. However the taxis are cheap about 10-15 dinhar to go to Monastir.
If you don't know Engish or French you will find your way around pretty hard.
As a summary:
Everything in the control of the hotel is exceptional ( except the long queue lines) , you get the experience of 5 star hotel at the price of 3 star hotel.
Respect the employees and they will as well respect you.
Be ready for cultural shocks.
Remember you are in a semi-deserted area.
Have fun and take lotss of pictures!
I as well posted the exchange rate at the time so you will know apeox how much money you should have handy to exchange! Remember you CAN NOT bring local currency back. And you WILL BE searched at the airport for it.

Honestly i had a great time. It was my first ever holiday and i thought the hotel itself was beautiful, it’s a little old looking but it’s genuinely nice. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and helpful. The activities were fun and i even sang karaoke. The pool was incredible. I enjoyed some of the food it wasn’t the best but i enjoyed it. The shop in the hotel was good had a lot of things we would need. It also had good service for sim cards. I dont get the hate on this hotel i thought it was lovely.
Only bad thing ive got to say is the location isn’t the best, there’s not much to do outside the hotel because it’s in the middle of no where. I recommend going to savanna!! the club is so fun
