Honestly i had a great time. It was my first ever holiday and i thought the hotel itself was beautiful, it’s a little old looking but it’s genuinely nice. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and helpful. The activities were fun and i even sang karaoke. The pool was incredible. I enjoyed some of the food it wasn’t the best but i enjoyed it. The shop in the hotel was good had a lot of things we would need. It also had good service for sim cards. I dont get the hate on this hotel i thought it was lovely.
Only bad thing ive got to say is the location isn’t the best, there’s not much to do outside the hotel because it’s in the middle of no where. I recommend going to savanna!! the club is so fun

Room was disgusting, with view on the crowded courtyard, no landscapes no privacy. Renovation has been done probably on last century, with visible unprofessional repairs. After calling it out to the staff, they put us on the waiting list, and started to ignore us till the end of the stay, of course wit no result in any room change. Lack of sunbeds, at 6 already taken by guests, pool was okay, but the sea, which direct access encouraged us to book this place, was dirty, and beach was ridiculously narrow. Lines to the food took at least 10-15mins before you could take the meal, really nosiy and slovenly behaviour of the algeriang families at the tables was taking away our appetite anyway. Drinks havent made me feeling anything even if consumed right under the sun.

In need of renovation throughout.
Cheap and cheerful, the pool, bar, beach and waterpark are decent.
The cleaning standards and health and safety are poor
Food, repetitive and not catered to British/European palate.
Staff some good, some pushy, restaurant staff might as well not exist if you don't tip.
Honestly wouldn't visit again, but did enjoy elements.

Serious issues encountered during the stay:
1. Severe lack of hygiene: the bathroom was in terrible condition, with fixtures partly detached. The bathrobe, which should have been white, was stained yellow with urine, which is completely unacceptable.
2. Dirty bed and sheets: the bedding was not clean and had blood stains on it.
3. Terrible view: the room window opened directly onto garbage.
4. Missing services: there was no minibar in the room, and the safe could not be used, making it impossible to secure personal belongings.
5. Air conditioning at extra charge: the air conditioning required special tablets, and I was asked to pay extra at reception just to use it.
6. Unjustified money requests (corruption/extortion): staff repeatedly asked for extra money—for changing the room, for using the parking lot (even though it was supposed to be available), and even for other basic services. This was clear extortion.
7. No cleaning service: despite multiple requests, nobody ever came to clean the room or provide basic hygiene.
8. No elevator or assistance: the hotel has no elevator, and no staff helped with luggage.
9. No guidance to the room: the hotel has over 1000 rooms, but nobody accompanied me or showed me my room. I wasted more than half a day searching for it, while staff refused to assist.
10. No free Internet: although Internet was advertised, it was not available unless I paid extra.
11. Refrigerator only at extra cost: the room had no fridge, and when I requested one, I was again asked to pay additional money.
Conclusion:
This stay was a catastrophe. I paid for accommodation that was supposed to guarantee at least the minimum standards of hygiene, comfort, and safety, but what I experienced was the exact opposite. The situation was so bad that it cannot be described as a simple inconvenience—it was a total failure and disaster.
My request:
A full refund of the amount paid.
An urgent investigation into the hotel’s real conditions and staff behavior.
Concrete action to protect other travelers from such an experience.
I can provide supporting evidence, including photos and booking details, if required.

Terrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here!
From day one, our stay at Houda Hotel Resort has been extremely disappointing. Checking in took 1.5 hours, and instead of an apology, we were met with rude and unhelpful staff. We were promised compensation for the inconvenience, but had to chase it ourselves.
The food is of very poor quality, with very limited choice and long queues every mealtime. What they serve looks and tastes like food prepared for a soup kitchen, not for paying hotel guests. Snacks are closed while people have already been waiting in line for 45 minutes. The staff are unfriendly and unprofessional.
Our room had multiple issues: a musty smell, worn-out bedding, and general maintenance problems. Housekeepers even asked us for coffee and other items, which felt very inappropriate.
Even the water slides are disappointing – some of them don’t work properly, and you have to push yourself forward just to get down.
This hotel is nowhere near worthy of its 3-star rating, and I honestly don’t understand how it is still operating. We strongly advise everyone to avoid this place – you have been warned!
