Honestly i had a great time. It was my first ever holiday and i thought the hotel itself was beautiful, it’s a little old looking but it’s genuinely nice. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and helpful. The activities were fun and i even sang karaoke. The pool was incredible. I enjoyed some of the food it wasn’t the best but i enjoyed it. The shop in the hotel was good had a lot of things we would need. It also had good service for sim cards. I dont get the hate on this hotel i thought it was lovely.
Only bad thing ive got to say is the location isn’t the best, there’s not much to do outside the hotel because it’s in the middle of no where. I recommend going to savanna!! the club is so fun

I cannot recommend strongly enough that you avoid staying at Houda Golf & Beach Resort, especially if you are British.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. There were no signs or announcements in English, and when I asked for assistance at reception, I was simply told that no one spoke English. This made even basic communication extremely difficult.
Our holiday got off to a terrible start when we had to wait four and a half hours to be allocated a room. It was only after I insisted on speaking to the manager that we were finally given one.
The hotel itself is extremely dated, in desperate need of renovation, and unclean throughout. Our room was small, basic, dirty, and lacked both a fridge and a safe. The biggest issue was the room door, which was incredibly difficult to open. My husband injured his arm twice trying to force it open to enter and leave the room. We reported this to reception on two occasions before anyone attempted a repair. Although it was slightly improved, it still required excessive force and remained a clear safety hazard.
The "restaurant" was more like a crowded school canteen. As the hotel appeared to be overbooked, food was often limited. Guests were pushing and shoving in queues to pile their plates high, only to leave much of the food uneaten. The whole dining experience was chaotic and unpleasant.
The public areas were poorly maintained, dimly lit, lacked adequate air conditioning, and were not cleaned regularly. The toilets near the beach, bar, and reception were consistently filthy. They were often left soiled, with wet toilet seats and flooded floors, meaning they needed cleaning before they could even be used.
The hotel bears little resemblance to the photographs used on holiday booking websites. In my opinion, it is falsely advertised and fails to meet the expectations those images create. There are also no lifts, making it very difficult to carry luggage to and from your room.
Overall, this was genuinely a holiday from hell. I requested to be moved to another hotel from the very first day because the standard of accommodation was so poor. Sadly, this resort fell far below even basic expectations, and I would strongly advise anyone considering booking here to look elsewhere.

I want to offer my opinion on an experience that I consider very bad at this hotel... First the reception is very bad... Secondly, the room is disastrous; the cooling device does not operate without a refrigerator and television. The food is medium but the struggles inside the restaurant due to the abundance of holidaymakers... Pools, children's toys and activation are generally acceptable ..... Receptionist. Bashar. 00

Stayed at this hotel for a week during July, it was extremely busy!
If you are looking for a relaxing all inclusive holiday this definitely is not the place, there is constant queues to get anything, the snack bar queue by the pool is horrendous and there are lots of people who think they are above others and can just push in the queue and do what they like.
The dining room is like a zoo on lunch and dinner times, it's stressful.
The rooms are clean but very outdated, the lights in our room don't work and some of the plug points are hanging off the wall.
If you want a seat around the pool, you need to get up early and get down there with your towels or you won't get one! It's constantly busy!
The people who work here are amazing and can't do enough for you, but you can see they are severely understaffed for the amount of guests staying here.
It's a pleasant place if it wasn't so busy, I won't be coming back here and I wouldn't recommend it based on how busy it is.

Not my best Holiday experience, super busy, Noisy as soon as you arrive all the people selling Trips, jewellery, activities etc swamp you taking your cash and time before you recover from the long journey here and with two autistic teenagers we were ready to have a breakdown so it wasn't really appreciated friendly as the vendors were. Then sent to the restaurant while we waited for our rooms to be ready which was even more of an eye opener.
The restaurant is absolutely chaotic no real order and a complete lack of manners all round. Greedy and wastefulness on a level I've never come across before anywhere I've been on holiday for all inclusive packages all over Europe and Egypt before and never known this. However this is not the fault of the staff this is a reflection of many of the guests staying here. Plates full of food just left after being piled high! especially anything like meat, fries or desserts. My family had virtually nothing nice to eat because they used manners and waited in line the people at the front behaved like wild animals piling up multiple cakes etc meaning they were gone in minutes of being put out children with several plates just push in the line ignoring you if you try to say excuse me there is a line no manners smiles or politeness at all.
Rooms are very basic no TV even though it said in room description satellite TV in room, no fridges either maybe I should have complained but this is not in my nature. We also had many issues with money as there were no ice creams or treats on the all inclusive (or left after the hoards stripped the restaurant bare) these were being sold by vendors in the hotel grounds but they only accepted Cash.
The reception do cash exchange service but only money not using bank cards. Fine but after arriving and being charged city tax for 4 adults on arrival this was £68 even though I have two young teens! However 12yrs of age here counts as adults most of my UK cash was gone. The cash machine at the gate did not work reliably and had taken a few people's Bank cards so that was out of the question as well. We were offered to be loaned some Dinars to get cab to town 6km away to use cash machine which we could pay back once we returned which was nice but kind of defeated the object costing even more money.
It is Very confusing trying to figure out drinks and cocktails for all inclusive no real listings shown as is usual at all inclusive bars only one cocktail per day was listed.
Again the service staff were lovely and could not be more polite and helpful please tip them if you can however this was difficult without cash! The pool areas were nice but most sunbeds are gone before breakfast by the hoards and be careful of the tiling around the pool edges as they are tiny glass tiles many of which are broken. My daughter sliced her hand getting into the pool. Again crazily busy and noisy but a nice large pool.water temperature was lovely.
There's a nice little beach which is well cared for by the caretaker the water itself is a beautiful temperature and lovely sandy floor but very dirty with a lot of litter floating around and seaweed which can't be helped. The sea had a funny smell to it also a bit toilety which is concerning however we wasn't ill at any point during our stay.
The Entertainment is extremely limited and mostly in Arabic but that is obviously governed by the language of the majority of guests at the Hotel.
The Entertainment was pretty much repeated every time we went to watch so we didn't go any more after three nights . However the crew were super friendly and full of enthusiasm putting on a decent night keeping guests engaged as best as they could. We have another 4 days left as I write this but with two autistic teenagers who have been struggling from day 1 we're ready to leave halfway through what should have been a well earned family treat, maybe things will pick up but I can't see it happening.
