We stayed here for a few nights to relax, and it worked perfectly. The location is beautiful, with lovely views and spectacular sunsets. Although we were initially concerned after reading some reviews, we chose to upgrade to a junior suite to make sure our stay would be restful — and it was.
The hotel itself is nice, though it does have the feeling of “having seen better times.” The rooms are arranged in small two-story buildings with a courtyard in the middle, surrounded by lots of greenery. The crickets are very loud at night, but in a way that felt calming rather than disturbing. Our room was comfortable, and the bed was simply amazing. The junior suite, however, was essentially two regular rooms joined together, which left us with a living area featuring an uncomfortable couch and table that felt somewhat redundant. The bathroom was spacious, but as noted in other reviews, ventilation was poor and there was a large humidity stain on the ceiling.
The breakfast buffet was good, the pool large and enjoyable, and the beach area perfectly fine — pebbly, but manageable with proper shoes. The gym wasn’t impressive for a hotel of this level, but it was sufficient for a quick workout. We tried the Sardinian night, which was okay, though we had better food at other restaurants nearby. During the day, light snacks such as burgers and sandwiches were available; although overpriced, they tasted fine. There is also a tennis court, but it’s in poor condition and in need of proper maintenance.
Overall, we had a good experience and got the rest we were looking for. The setting is wonderful, and the essentials were in place, but the hotel gives the impression of temporary fixes over the years rather than real upgrades.

We booked for a Friday in mid Oct - the first night of our first visit to Sardinia - looked like a safe bet, if a bit corporate. Adults only was a major plus. Seemed great on arrival - amazing view, clean, quiet, nice pool. The nice lady on reception advised they were in fact closing on Sunday, but that we could stay a second night if we wanted. Unfortunately we did commit to that early on, which was a mistake in hindsight, as it transpired that some of the staff seemed under the impression that as they were closing up imminently, it was therefore ok to treat guests as little more than an inconvenience.
This ranged from a bit shirty / irritated to extremely rude. The most unpleasant was the barman who, when asked for a Campari soda, first dismissed this request, barking back ‘we don’t have’, then reluctantly agreed that maybe he could put some Campari in a glass with some sparkling water. When it was pointed out that the water he had used was flat, he opened a new bottle and dumped a load of that into the flat drink. When it was pointed out that this was now a very diluted drink, he angrily asked if he should make it again..and so it went on, like trying to get a stroppy teenager to clean up his bedroom. Pretty pathetic for what claims to be a 4 star hotel. And a major vibe harsh.
Requesting if they could please toast their own gluten free bread for us at mealtimes also seemed to be a decision that required a staff conference, but on one occasion they did agree that they could. So that was nice.
The one dinner that we stayed in for was expensive and average. The small number of diners (only about 8 tables occupied) in the massive dining room made for a weird atmosphere. Would have been better going for something more relaxed in the bar area.
I didn’t even have the heart to enquire about the spa / treatments as I couldn’t bear the deep sigh & eye roll with tired explanation that they were closing soon, that would inevitably have ensued.
We don’t get to go on holiday a lot so it was disappointing to feel like an irritation when we did.
Other than that, the room was fine, if small, and bed could have used a topper to make it into a double rather than 2 singles with a hard ridge in the middle.
The place was basically deserted so it was very quiet, but guessing at capacity it would be pretty noisy given the layout of the rooms.
Big thanks to the few kind staff who were majorly let down by their unprofessional colleagues, particularly to Daniele the barman who managed to treat us like human beings, but this place has reminded us why we don’t go to big hotels and we won’t be back.
As Londoners we know how annoying tourists generally are, but that’s why we choose not to work in hospitality. I’d suggest that if staff can’t manage to maintain the level of service to which I’m sure they aspire, until their last guests leave, that they should close sooner in the season, or if this was their best effort, then maybe consider a different career.

Hotel and staff very friendly. Beautiful pool and claen beach. Unfortunately it's away out from the town and other restaurants. It's always nice to try local food but if you have to pay extortionate prices for taxis it puts a dampner on the evening.

I recently stayed at Hotel Corte Rosada and overall had a very enjoyable time. I rate it 3.5/5
Positives:
The gardens are beautiful, neat, and very well maintained.
Rooms are exceptionally clean and adequate.
The TV worked well.
Reception was helpful and always greeted me with a smile. In fact, all staff throughout the hotel were friendly, approachable, and could not do more to help.
The pool is immaculately clean and a great size for both relaxing and swimming.
The private beach is a nice addition—though if you want to swim, you’ll need to use the jetty as there are small rocks on the shore (not a big issue once you know).
Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and more than adequate.
Areas for improvement:
The air-conditioning works but is hardly efficient, as it doesn’t cool below 25°C, which makes the rooms feel warm at night.
The beds are extremely firm—I would recommend softer mattresses, as I doubt most guests would prefer the current level of hardness.
The dinner food was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Presentation was excellent and effort was clear, but the dishes often lacked flavour and the ingredients felt sub-par. There was never any salt or pepper on the table, having to ask for these along with butter for the bread was sub par.
Service at dinner restaurant, while polite and attentive, felt overly formal—almost rigid. A more relaxed, holiday-style approach would make dining far more enjoyable.
The biggest drawback was the dinner table allocation/booking system. It’s not clearly explained that you need to book, and guests are escorted to a table they haven’t chosen. I understand the need to manage demand, but a simple and transparent system (first-book, first-serve) would solve this. Communication on this point was vague.
Dinner drinks are not included, so the “half board” option is a little misleading.
Overall:
Hotel Corte Rosada is a lovely place to stay, with wonderful staff, spotless facilities, and a beautiful setting. However, the restaurant experience, hard beds, and inefficient air-conditioning let it down. With some small but important changes, this hotel could easily live up to its 4-star

We have had an amazing week here. The views are spectacular.
service is excellent and food very good, the rooms were a little small and dated but because everywhere else was so good you can sarafice that.
There is a daily bus service to the city with various stops along the way a timetable is available at reception.
The spa treatments are very good book you need yo book a few days in advance to get an appointment.
I would advise just keeping an eye on you tab as you go along as we were being over charged for an extra treatment we didn't have but it was rectified. we will definitely visit again and next time might avail of car hire which is available from reception with a minimum rent of two days which was approximately 180 Euro.
