Overall we had a lovely stay at Eden Roc but it isn’t quite the 5 star experience we expected
The location is excellent, close to Rhodes Old Town, with a beautiful beach where we always found sunbeds available. There are three pools (although they get busy), plenty of seating areas, great pool activities, water sports and some of the best hotel entertainment we’ve experienced, including DJs, saxophonists and tribute acts. The staff and cleaners were all friendly, with a special mention to the hardworking pool attendants. Breakfast was excellent (don’t miss the orange cake!) and our sea view room had incredible views. The Italian à la carte was by far the best restaurant.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few downsides. The lunch and dinner buffet lacked quality and variety, with very limited options for children beyond pasta, chips and Bolognese. The beach BBQ was extremely salty, the gyros were bland and fatty, and the burger at the Grill restaurant was poor. We also found dirty cups, flat soft drinks, and the room air conditioning wasn’t very effective.
We couldn’t book all of the à la carte restaurants as they were supposedly fully booked, yet we repeatedly walked past multiple empty tables sitting unused for long periods, which was disappointing. Dining also felt rushed, with staff often trying to clear plates before we’d finished eating.
Pool sunbeds are difficult to get, especially the day beds, despite the hotel enforcing the 9am towel rule. We also expected better cleanliness for a 5-star hotel, with dirty carpets and dusty railings in communal areas. Finally, more afternoon snack options would be welcome, as apart from the ice cream bar there was very little available between lunch and dinner.
A great hotel in many ways, but with a few improvements it could easily live up to its 5-star rating as right now it’s more of a 3-4 star

This was my 4th time going here for a holiday and again, it was a brilliant experience. The room we had was a pool suite and it was a spacious room. The only thing I might make a suggestion is that the spare room in the suite should have more light as there were only 2 light bulb sockets and there should be more to brighten it up. For lounge 800 bar, have to say, nikos is an approachable person who was always happy and chatty with his guests. For the second week, he left and lounge 800 wasn't the same. I had great experiences in all the restaurants. The food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming.
I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the Eden Roc Resort Hotel, at the end of April, and it's the best hotel we've ever stayed in, I can't say a single bad word about any of our experience.
The service was second to none, very friendly, helpful and professional and also efficient.
The food was superb, the buffet restaurant had plenty of choice and the alacarte restaurants selection was plentiful, the food in some of these restaurants deserves a Michelin start, I had a steak in the Peruvian restaurant and it's the best I've ever had.
The rooms, were always clean, beds comfy facilities new and updated, visually appealing and fresh! Changed daily
The overall vibe from the hotel is relaxed, welcoming but efficient and works really well, at night it's very romantic and dimly lit which we loved, we went away to get relaxed and enjoy some well deserved downtime, And got exactly that.
We never ever visit a hotel twice, However for the Eden Roc Resort Hotel, We are willing to break that tradition, we will 100% categorically be back here, without a shadow of doubt in my mind, we loved this place!!
Thank you Eden Roc team for such a memorable experience!

There are some points that really take the rating down. The cons:
- The biggest overall con was definitely the room. Didn’t feel like a five star resort - dated and didn’t give that clean feeling. I was also surprised that they didn’t have hair conditioner and lotion! First five star I stayed at that didn’t have these. Also we had a superior double room with a outdoor terrace area, which would have been nice to use if it wasn’t so dirty!
- We were quite excited to try some of the 7 restaurants on site, only to come and discover that all are fully booked. This was a big shame as we were limited to the buffets.
- The app is buggy. I tried to book tennis - when I selected 2 people, it said that I couldn’t book because it didn’t match the number of guests we were(3). When I selected 3, it said that there was only availability for 2 people so I couldn’t book tennis. Not a great user experience.
- Not enough space for everyone at the evening entertainment. If you didn’t get there early enough to secure a table, you’d be standing, sitting on a ledge or would have to sit on a sunbed. Just didn’t really feel like enough space in general - all the sunbeds near the main pool were taken. Thankfully there are enough sunbeds at the beach
Pros:
- Can’t fault the service, it was great
- Loved the pool and the beach
- Food was good and lots of variety at the buffets

Just finished a 10 day holiday here and it was amazing.
The staff and hospitality was great
The private beach, evening entertainment pools and activities were all top notch
The only negative was when we arrived, all 7 bookable restaurants were fully booked, so we had to eat and remain in the main buffet area.
Overall a good hotel within close proximity to the airport and Rhodes old town
