This is my fourth visit to this hotel. The staff are wonderful, most helpful in every respect and every department. The food offers a wide selection catering to all tastes at each mealtime. The rooms are spacious, clean and up-to-date with plenty of room to relax as well as sleep. Even the balconies are a good size. The level of personal interest and care from all members of staff is exceptional. Special mention must go to Leah Babikova, the Guest Experience Manager, who remembers us each time we come and gives us her time without exception on each visit. Many thanks to all the staff who work so hard to make this hotel a home from home.

We had a lovely stay at Corralejo Bay - the hotel is well presented and nicely laid out, and the pool area had plenty of space and felt nicely enclosed. There’s a beach just over the road, and the souvenir shops are all very close. Highly recommend the tiki bar a few mins walk along the beachfront to the left - this was a recommendation from Luca who led the free cocktail making session which I also highly recommend. The painting and pottery sessions were also free and very worth signing up for! The spa access was very reasonable at €17, and the 10-step recommended route through is excellent. Good-sized balconies and rooms, too. And a short walk away from the water park which is also worth a trip! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

From the very first morning, the food set the tone for the entire holiday.
The breakfast buffet was nothing short of exceptional. I quickly developed a routine of heading straight to the fresh omelette station, where everything was cooked to order with efficiency and warmth. The chefs were friendly, the service was seamless, and even during peak times it never felt chaotic.
The spread itself was generous and beautifully presented. Vibrant fresh fruit, crusty breads, pastries, a full granola and cereal bar, smoothies, juices, and of course the mimosa station, which made every morning feel celebratory. Each day started on such a positive note that it genuinely shaped the mood of the holiday.
This was one of the first times I opted for half board, and dinner completely exceeded expectations.
Monday’s Mexican night was outstanding. The freshly made burritos were juicy, flavourful and perfectly cooked. I genuinely struggle to put into words how good they were.
Tuesday’s international night featured a brilliant Chinese station. The fried rice, vegetables and meats were succulent and surprisingly authentic in flavour.
Wednesday’s Italian night was another highlight. The fresh pasta station was so good that I went back multiple times, pairing it with a generous jug of sangria. It felt indulgent in the best possible way.
And the desserts. The mousse, cheesecakes, brownies, ice cream, fresh fruit and countless other sweet options were impossible to resist. Every evening ended with “just one” that quickly turned into several. We may have quietly taken a few extras for later.
Beyond the food, the overall service throughout the hotel was incredible. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. The entire place was spotless, easily one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. There was a real sense of pride in how well everything was maintained.
I loved the pool area and the snack bar beside it. It was calm, never chaotic, and wonderfully peaceful. The overall atmosphere skewed older, definitely more 60 plus than party crowd. At times it felt almost like a luxury retirement retreat, but honestly, I loved that. It meant quiet mornings, relaxed afternoons, and no loud late night disruptions.
The small spa experience was also worth mentioning. For around €17 you could enjoy 90 minutes in the spa area, which felt like great value and a lovely way to unwind. My friend booked a massage which unfortunately she did not enjoy, so perhaps that element is more hit and miss.
The only real downside for me was the mattress in my room. It dipped noticeably to one side and left my back quite sore. It was uncomfortable enough that I needed to see a chiropractor afterwards, which was disappointing given how excellent everything else was. The television options were also limited if you only speak English, mostly news channels, which was a small but noticeable drawback as I do enjoy winding down with familiar programmes in the evenings.
Despite the bed situation, I would absolutely return. The food, cleanliness, service, pool, and overall calm atmosphere were genuinely five star in experience. The mattress was an unfortunate flaw in what was otherwise an exceptional stay. Next time, I might simply factor in a post holiday massage and hope for a firmer bed, because everything else was more than worth it.

We had an amazing stay at this Barcelo hotel. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. Special mention to Julia on Guest Relations as well as bar staff Bruno and Tryss. Our room was spotlessly clean and luxurious. The cleaning staff do an excellent job to ensure the hotel stays in pristine condition. The bed was really comfortable and bathroom was modern. Pool areas were amazing and also well kept. Close to the old town on Corralejo with access the beach within 50 metres. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing time.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at this hotel over Christmas.
The location is ideal, near the beach and shops and bars.
Our room was wonderful, spacious and clean with the bonus of a whirlpool. The bed was also very comfortable.
The food is buffet style with a fantastic selection, catering for every taste.
The big stand out of this hotel are the staff ... so courteous, polite and hardworking. Every single member of staff were great, especially Bruno at the pool and main bar.
Thankyou for an amazing holiday.
We cannot wait to return!
