Budget-friendly stay with great views, but key downsides to consider
We stayed from 27.07- 04.08.2026
We booked a budget-friendly family holiday, so we didn't expect luxury, but here are some important pros and cons worth considering before you book.
PROS
Location: Great location close to the beach and marina.
Food & Drinks: The bar food and drinks are reasonably priced. The coffee is delicious, and while items like pizza are frozen, they do the job if you don't fancy venturing out. Our favorite was the club sandwich (notably served with egg and not chicken).
Apartment View & Amenities: Amazing views from the apartment. The TV worked fine and includes English channels. Small fridge and microwave were adequate.
CONS & Important Warnings:
Pool & Sunbeds: The swimming pool is not exclusive to hotel guests; it is shared with the adjacent apartment complex and feels open to the public as street patrons visiting the bar use it too. It was quite dirty with a gritty feel on the bottom, and we didn't see it cleaned once during our stay. Weekends were chaotic with large groups didnt paying for sunbeds but spreading themsleves on the ground around them. Sunbeds cost €3 per day, but there are only 20 available total, and the umbrellas are very old. People frequently took our pool toys straight off our sunbeds without asking—including a floating doughnut we brought for our autistic son..
Noise & Windows: Windows have zero soundproofing. The bar's beer garden sits right in front, making it hard to get kids to sleep. On weekends, groups of young partygoers created noise past 11 PM on our floor two nights in the row. Reception initially noted they allow noise until midnight for guests getting ready to go out; however, in fairness, staff did put a stop to it after a complaint at 12:15 AM.
Uphill Walk: There is a steep walk back from the beach and main strip every day (though your calves will be in great shape by the end of the trip!).
Apartment Condition & A/C: Compact for a family of four and very dated with peeling paint (e.g., around the shower door). There is only one air conditioning unit for the whole apartment—closing the bedroom door leaves one room boiling while the living area stays cool.
Wi-Fi: Non-functional for the first few days, and extremely slow afterward (mobile data was faster).
Overall:
Popular with young partygoers, budget travelers, and older couples. A decent low-cost option if you don't mind the uphill walks and pool/noise quirks, but manage your expectations.

They have bedbugs and the service there isn’t the greatest. The couch I had was broken and had holes in it. Workers are rude and will get very easily annoyed at you. They couldn’t tell us evening before we leave if we can have a late check out, told us to check the same day at 10 am and when we went they told us to quickly pack up and leave bc they need to clean the rooms. The doors there don’t work all the time, i got locked out for 15 minutes. Not a very nice experience there but the location is great.
