The Diamond hill resort hotel has been an amazing experience for myself, husband and 3 young daughters.
There are many food varieties , and there is always something for the kids. For example, if the children do not want to eat lunch at the restaurant, they have the option to eat by the pool.
There is entertainment for the children every evening, and my children (secretly myself too) really enjoyed this thoroughly. There is also a mini club for them to paint, and play throughout the day. The pools are very safe for children, as they have lifeguards on duty at all times.
It is a very clean hotel, our room was cleaned daily and always topped up with water.
The staff are very helpful on Reception.. all staff very helpful . For example, our clothes were blown away by the wind and went over the balcony. The staff were able to kindly return this to us.
The weather May is great for the family. We were in the pool daily.
Thank you to manager Mr Hüseyin.

It was great! Everything was wonderful. The hotel greeted us perfectly. Special thanks to the animator Dasha, a very wonderful beautiful girl, speaks calmly in 4 languages, cheerful, you get positive energy from her. She enhanced the feeling of relaxation. Gave a full charge of energy!!! Lots of fun competitions, jokes, you won't get bored with her even when you're not in the mood. Huge thanks.

We stayed at Diamond Hill for 9 nights at the start of the UK summer holidays.
We arrived at 1am due to a very long transfer from Antalya airport. Where a private transfer would take 2 hours, this one took 4 - would firstly recommend paying a little extra for this is you're going via a package holiday.
We were given a room on a floor that had a low ceiling. My husband is 6 foot 4 and he had to lower his head to walk to our room - but still knocked his head quite badly a few times as it was unavoidable for him.
The room itself was lovely - we have two children and we were given a room with 2 double beds, a single and a sofa. We did not have a balcony but we did have a view of the pool. Everything in the room was clean and well kept and we were happy with this.
We were moved to floor 3 where the rooms are half the size but we did get a balcony which is great for drying clothes. We did notice a smell of smoke coming through to our room probably as most guests use it for smoking.
Yunus was lovely on our first night and unfortunately we didn't see him again but he was a great introduction to the hotel.
The restaurant hall is wild - expect long queues for food unless you go late, and if you go late, expect to be rushed. There were closed off areas that we weren't allowed to use. We were a party of 7 and they seemed to be reserved for Turkish guests. Closing them at 7:30/8pm made no sense and was suspicious. The terrace at the restaurant is lovely and there is a great view of the pool and sunset every night if you can get a table out there.
We had vegetarians and pescatarians in our party and they struggled to find a meal. They could put something together with bread and soup and chips but the food isn't catered to vegetarians at all. The fish is on the bone and full of bones which is a personally pet peeve but might be fine for some. It often felt like the food was cooked and not tasted. The hummus was always dry. The olive oils and dressings were really watered down. The cakes looked beautiful and tasted very similar - and not of much. As there are a mix of cultures, many guests queue and many do not. This can be frustrating.
Only a few members of the hotel staff can speak English. This was challenging at times but we generally had very limited interaction with them so didn't cause a big hindrance but for a 5 star hotel, you would expect them to know English to a basic level.
The pool was lovely and we spent most of our time here. Sunbeds were taken by 8am, and there are not enough. Many reserve to come down in the afternoon which is annoying. The beach was not enjoyable. The sand is course and the beach length is short. The water gets deep very quick and unless you are a confident swimmer, it's not safe. The pool bar only does burger and chips. We only went to the beach for a few hours for the water activities and we didn't go back. It's also quite dirty and unattended.
The entertainment was good in the evenings but again, it filled up quickly and there is no safety by the pool. Chairs go right up to the pool and anyone could fall in. They also close the pool at 6pm which we felt was too early. There is a lovely roof top terrace - again it's difficult to get a table here.
Overall, this was our first holiday abroad with our kids ages 5 and 3. They enjoyed it and we made lots of memories. We would return back for the pool and the rooms but not for the food or the beach. Thank you Diamond Hill!

My wife and I left behind a wonderful holiday and felt compelled to open this book. We watched the sunrise and sunset in our magnificent sea view room. The spaciousness of our room made us feel at home. We had stayed at another hotel before and our room was so narrow that we had no room to walk. There was plenty of meat, vegetables and fish every day. There is fresh omelet for breakfast. Pide is made immediately at noon and you should definitely eat it hot. Gozleme is made on the beach, definitely try it. In short, we liked this hotel very much with its smiling receptionists and hardworking staff. I recommend it to everyone.

First experience in a 5star in alanya, I have mixed feelings about this hotel.
The good points to start with, the cleaners are absolutely amazing. Room always spotless and stocked with water, tea, fresh towels etc.
The bar staff were fantastic, especially Oktay and Serva.
The reception staff were lovely also, tried to help resolve any queries/ issues you may have had.
The restaurant was clean and staff were quick at clearing tables and plates away.
The patisserie looked amazing and the cakes were nice, although they didn't know what they were.
The staff working the front gates are lovely, they would speak to you while waiting for pick up. The gates were open within seconds of you arriving also.
The room temperature control is an absolute must, was good that this is included.
The room showers are fantastic, great pressure. Was great for washing hair, compared to most other hotels I've tried.
The bad points, the food was pretty par and same every day.
The drinks weren't the best, unless you like beer, gin or vodka. They advertise blue curacao, it's a chocolate flavoured syrup. So did ruin the cocktail experience. The coconut rum isn't nice either.
The animation team is a dreadful experience. Bingo for €15 a strip, to win about a fiver in cheap tat from shops. They give vouchers also, but you have to spend money in order to get discounts. Staff gave misinformation about said vouchers, so really wasn't a good experience.
The spa looks clean enough, but they try to book you in multiple times. Telling people they have medical issues they can sort, if you come 4/5 times during your stay. Again another money grabbing scheme.
The rep yusuf who meets you in hotel is great at pitching excursions, however you get nowhere when you've had a bad excursion. They only offer a pittance back, and it seems a fight to get it.
We experienced a few power cuts, which were resolved quickly. However not so great if you were in lift at time of the cut.
Overall I found the 5star experience a 3 at most. This was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. I found certain aspects of it stressful and it has put me off wanting to visiting alanya again.
