Had a wonderful time at the hotel. We went as a large group for a team building experience - the hotel provided space, support and great availability to our needs. The staff was incredibly friendly and the facilities were clean and aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are specious and bed is comfortable. The hotel has everything you need for a short business trip and is well located to the Center and beach. The pool was cold but other than that everything was perfect.
Special thanks to Marina who supervised our stay and was incredible throughout the whole process.
Will come back for sure.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay in this hotel. Unusually, all staff here were excellent and seem to get on really well together, which made our experience very special indeed. Amalia was amazing - such a wonderful person, so helpful, generous and cheerful from the outset... we are so grateful, and we really enjoyed Christina's stretching exercises - for the benefit we received, and also for her kindness. If you want a relaxed, welcoming environment, we would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Had a wonderful week at this hotel. We were a large group due to a wedding however the service and the rooms were excellent. The food at the breakfast buffet was always hot and tables were quickly cleared. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and the cleaning staff were always efficient and friendly. My only complaint would be the price of ice creams for the children priced at €7 each!! The walk into Puerto Banus only took 10 minutes so not far if you wanted nightlife. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. Thanks to everyone at Meliá Banús. Would definitely recommend.

We had the lowest category of room, which was very spacious with comfortable beds. Minor criticism was poor toilet flush, but I guess they are trying to save water because of drought. Breakfast was excellent, great choice of food. Staff very helpful, Got wrong combination to my room safe and couldn't open, but someone came and opened it within a few minutes. There was some partying noise from room next door, once at 2am and once at 5am. We had to call reception, who sent their security guy to request quiet!
Hotel is very near to beaches, a short walk to Puerto Banus, and there is a pedestrian way for many km towards and through Marbella.
We ate out so cannot comment on Hotel restaurants.

Firstly, I would like by saying the hotel looked amazing but the staff made the experience a disaster! Staff are extremely rude, they don’t help, they don’t greet people just stare. The food at the hotel is also terrible! I requested for a well done burger and it came medium and I complained and didn’t eat the food, they still made me pay for it. I complained to the manager the following few days and they said that they can’t find my money on the system. So basically saying that I never paid for the food. She then persisted to state that she will call me when I get back to the U.K. to get this sorted for me. I have had no emails or calls from the manager. This hotel service is just fully trash and I will never recommend and will never come back! I was holding out for writing a review to see if the manager would reach out but NO nothing! I am going to make sure I write a review everywhere in regards to this hotel so no one can experience what we did.
Each day we had to ask the cleaners to clean our room other wise our room would not get cleaned!
I can’t believe hotel has made my first experience in Marbella so bad that I don’t even want to go back to Marbella.
As I was complaining on my last day there were other people complaining! This just shows how bad the service is!
Do not recommend!!

Me and my family stayed at AluaSun for 10 days, we chose the hotel as it is the only hotel in Marbella with a water park for our children. Little did we know me and dad would be enjoying the water park just as much :p. The hotel did not disappoint in many ways.
The service was impeccable, the staff were brilliant! And our room maid Seher was an absolute GEM! The entertainers by the pool were great.
They have a kids club on most of the day so parents can have a little rest which is fantastic.
Everything was just brilliant.
We will definitely be coming back to the same hotel next time.
Ewa Bosa-Czarkowska
The AluaSun Marbella Park hotel is not modern, but it has been renovated and you can see that it is regularly maintained and well cared for. It has all the necessary amenities and is very clean, with daily room cleaning and fresh towels.
The area around the hotel is very pleasant, with a park between the hotel buildings. For those who want it, there is a well-kept swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers.
The restaurant serves good and varied meals, and the staff take great care to ensure cleanliness and comfort. For me, there was one small downside: the mattress was too soft, which made it difficult for me to sleep, but that is a matter of individual preference. The hotel’s location really calls for having a car, especially if you want to go sightseeing rather than just stay at the hotel. It is true that the hotel is well connected by bus, but then the journey takes much longer.

We had an amazing holiday in Marbella. The hotel was spottles, the service brilliant, pools fantastic, food: good choice for the price we paid. Great place for families and people who love to be surrounded by green area.

Not a 4 star hotel. The room had a smell when we first walked in it felt muggy. There were also bugs. It was in need of a deep deep clean. The food was ok. Breakfast was a bit better than dinner. There was only one cook on the grill which made for long lines. The cook was working their butts off.they had theme nights but it just seemed like the same food every night. We had various items that were still raw. The pool was nice. They had entertainment which was nice. The playground area desperately needs lights.
Shar mina
We booked the hotel as it was rated 4 star, however it felt more like a 2 star. We stayed in NH collection Marbella before this which was definitely a 5 star. Photos speak for themselves.
We had broken lamps, AC wasn't working, hand wash on top of the toilet which made it hard for the kids to reach, shower facilities that need a deep clean and plug hole needed unblocking as we were showering with our feet in a pool of water.
The worst was when my baby girl was crawling and hit her face on the corner of the fold out bed. She still has a bruise on corner of her eye 2 days later. The bed placement and size of the room for it was not thought out well.
We also were so confused with the lift it took us to our floor but we still had to use stairs to get to the room. With kids, pram and luggage this was tough and a struggle whenever we left the room to go anywhere. If you are not fit or don't have extra hands this is a nightmare.
A 4 star hotel should have basic amenities in the room like bottled water and a kettle but the room was so empty and uninviting

DONT COME HERE. This is not a 4 star hotel, more like a 2/3 star. Pools are closed, they don’t have vip check in, paid for parking for 2 nights and they don’t even have a valet. Only 1 bar open in the whole hotel. Clearly they have a staff f issue. We have Expedia vip, and we were treated like peasants and put in a room with NO AC with NO UPGRADES. The place is completely disorganized and no one to hold accountable. The place needs a refresh and it is not kept well. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, THERE ARE BETTER HOTELS IN MARBELLA THAT ARE CHEAPER.
For the VIP Check in, no one was there when we arrived, no one there while we stayed our stay, no one there when we left. How can you accommodate VIP guests when no one is working the vip section? I mean just look at my photo, not one soul in there.
For parking they say they offer parking, How do you offer parking when you don’t have a valet staff member working for you? Look at my photo, not one soul! Furthermore I was refunded at check in due to this exact issue as we paid for parking for 2 days and the reception said there is no valet.
We were not given a upgrade at check in as we were supposed to as Expedia VIP, when we complained about no AC in our basic room, we were moved to another basic room that was supposed to be “cooler temp” this was NOT an upgrade by any means, the room was the exact same, there was STILL NO AC, and the view was a little better but not worth the headaches of the property
Also, you should know….because we had issues, the manager said he wanted us to sign an NDA so we wouldn’t post our experience but they are so disorganized they forgot to make us do that as well!

I had the most incredible treatment at the Rock Spa. It was called Wrap Remix and was a combination of body scrub, massage and facial and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life! Lisa is an excellent therapist, in fact one of the best I have ever experienced and her vibe and energy just really made for such a relaxing and fully nourishing experience. I also just loved the music and even the bed had a built in base. I highly recommend this treatment and also the the wonderful therapist Lisa

Best hotel in Marbella!
The overall quality ensures you’ll have a wonderful stay.
From perfect rooms with sea view, to wonderful food across the different restaurants and buffés.
Perfect location next to Puerto Banus and minute walk to the beach. Different pools and bars on the premises.
The 10/10 service from the staff really is the cherry on top.
We’ll be back!

Very pleasant experience at this property. Saad went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction was met. The suite room was spacious and bathrooms were updated. Very easy walk over to the casino in-doors. Would recommend this hotel based on the guest experience and interaction with Saad. Thank you for making our time memorable.

Stunning hotel looks exactly like the pictures. Rooms are very spacious too, the staff are lovely including the cleaning staff too. I spoke to management about decorating the room for my friend’s birthday and they made it very special she loved it. The service at this hotel was lovely. Only thing for us was that there was not local shops but that cant be helped given the golfing location. Would recommend this hotel to others for sure we loved it!

Don't choose the Premium club option! On the website it seemed like the Premium Club had a lot of advantages, but honestly we didn't receive any special treatment mentioned. Only after asking for a late checkout, this was offered, same for the minibar. A pillow menu and a special area in the restaurant were never mentioned. The wellness centre was closed, so the additional discount here was also not a benefit.
Apart from these non-existing extras, we heard there was no buffet for dinner but it was a la carte (noodles or lasagna), and the noodles were drenched in oil and the lasagna was cold. The chocolate cake was more a cookie-pudding with some chocolate sauce over it.
The airconditioning didn't work properly - we felt like it only blew warm air, so it was permanently very hot and humid in our room. We had to open the window all night to get some fresh air (letting noise and light enter). The tv didn’t have internet. Also, there was a screwdriver on the floor in our room.
Upon arriving, nobody offered to help me carry 2 heavy weekend bags to the elevator, even though I was 7 months pregnant.
Also, drinks are not included in the half-board option (not even water), and the parking costs €15. And finally, the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere so there's not much to do to actually enjoy the days.
We stayed here in february 2026.

This didn’t feel like a four star hotel - maybe a three star at most. The hotel is very tired and dated. It doesn’t look like it has been renovated for years (or at all!). Dark and dingy.
Having said that the positives were that we had a large deluxe club room with sea view that had a very comfy bed and bedding and an enormous bathroom with jacuzzi bath - very nice. The breakfast was also great. Large choice of food and high quality. Even included freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff were friendly and helpful
We booked club level and that was a waste of money. The only real benefits were some soft drinks in the room on arrival and a later check out time. There is a lounge but it’s only open 11-1 and a private pool but it’s in a small enclosed area. Not nice. The main pool is better.
I’d come again for one night only and not club level if I found a cheap deal. I wouldnt want to come here for a week on holiday - too dated and too far from the beach
Martha Teye
The hotel looks very beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The view from my room was also great. Breakfast had variety of options and freshly squeezed orange juice which i loved. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were nice and friendly. Their mobile app was also great for ordering room service.
However, the rooms had an outdated feel and the wall was thin so I could hear noises from the adjoining rooms. The wood on some doors were degraded. I also found a silverfish at the bathroom entrance. I just hope I don’t carry some with me back home.
On day 2, I ordered dinner which came with expired ketchup. Although ketchup can be used even after a year of the best before date, I was not expecting a hotel to serve me expired goods when I paid for the food. I kept wondering what other expired product was used in the preparation of the meal.
Overall, it was a nice place for a conference event. I would not recommend it for personal vacation or solo trips as it is quite a distance from the center with at least 25 mins of walking to the bus station.
Frank Hanson
Well what can I say.. We booked this hotel for a short stay in Marbella, for 4 nights. On arrival the reception staff were great. Easy check in, very polite & professional. The rooms were spot on. The breakfast was amazing. They also left a bottle of bubble in our room on my birthday, with cakes & a note. Made us feel extra special. Big thanks, to all the staff who made our stay fantastic. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks again guys ❤️

Our booking was made through a Golf holiday company. The rooms were excellent and very modern and spacious. The staff were friendly and attentive when we required assistance. Wow! What a place! We had an excellent time. Outstanding breakfast, service, spa and, rooftop bar pool / beach facility’s. This was our first time visiting the Amàre Branded hotels as we usually stay at Marriott / Hiltons but we loved it. What a feeling. Thank you! Looking forward to visiting other Amàre properties in the future.

Location great, beautiful space, lots of staff, beautiful beachfront restaurant, love that they have bikes. Big included breakfast is vast with lots of options but some of the food not great quality, and the espresso from the machine is not good. While I didn’t have a personal issue with it, guests should know there is no bathroom privacy in the rooms. Also, I found it unusual and a shame that pool/jacuzzi closes at 7, most people enjoy a jacuzzi in evening and night. Never seen that before at any hotel. Also when you’re trying to enjoy yourself by the pool an insanely loud singer with microphone and massive speakers are blasting her singing which can be heard through the whole neighborhood. Not really a relaxing crowd pleaser. The AC in the room doesn’t work unless you ask staff to turn it on, and after a while the thermostat stops working again. My guess it’s cost saving measure, but that’s really not great either for a 4 start hotel, yikes!

Great location, varied breakfast, and rooms are clean and have a great view of the sunrise and sunsets. I have visited the Ibiza Resort as well and enjoy the live music and performances by the pool. From Marbella location I really enjoyed running the long promenade.

We have been to the hotel numerous times - always great. Bogdan was a particularly fantastic waiter for our dinners in the Amàre lounge this time. He was attentive and resolved any issues in a positive and kind-hearted manner. Please be sure to pass on our thanks - he is a credit to the Amare team.

This is my fourth visit to this beautiful hotel and I had a brilliant stay yet again. The location of the hotel is perfect and the staff are all friendly and helpful, with a special mention to the bar and restaurant staff who go above and beyond to ensure you have excellent service. Rooms are extremely clean thanks to the fabulous cleaning team. We stay in the penthouse which is an absolutely beautiful, luxury room with everything we need and more. On this visit we had an initial issue with our room not being ready and this was delayed for several hours however this situation was handled extremely professionally by the reception and hotel staff, in particular Yaiza, the trainee manager who helped to rectify the situation and went above and beyond to ensure our stay at the hotel was enjoyable. She continued to check in with us during our stay and was always on hand if we needed anything or had any queries. The food is excellent, we usually stay half board and the breakfast and evening meals are excellent quality and there is plenty of choice each evening. I will be returning to this beautiful hotel twice this year and have booked directly via the hotel for my 5th and 6th visits. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, it's a walking distance from Puerto banus. It has beautiful outdoor areas. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the choice of food and the quality is top notch. We also used the spa and had massages, it was great. I loved everything about the hotel, I will come back and I definitely recommend.

I was incredibly disappointed with this hotel experience.
After buying 3 rooms for my family and myself for 4 days, we were told that the pool table at the bar cost 15 euros for 30 mins of use.
It's absurd that after spending close to 800 euros a night to stay at this hotel, we wouldn't get access to the pool table.
Will not be going to any Iberostar properties in the future.

We celebrated our 11th anniversary at this beautiful hotel and I cannot begin to describe how lovely and grateful we are. TheSPA was so wonderful and special with many different types of steam and sauna rooms. Cold plunge pools and even an indoor heated pool. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was surreal… like living in a museum. The hotel is very storied and very well kept. The staff were all attentive, lovely and friendly. We will be back again and again. ❤️

What a fantastic hotel and overall experience! We stayed here for a short getaway to escape the busy city life, and it exceeded our expectations.
The restaurants are excellent, and the breakfast is truly outstanding. The location is great, especially for golf enthusiasts—it really feels like a paradise for golfers.
What made the stay even more special was the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, but one person in particular stood out: Razwan. He went above and beyond and made a real difference to our experience.
I could go on about how great this hotel and its restaurants are, but the best advice is simple—experience it for yourself.

We stayed here for two nights for our anniversary, and this property is truly a dream come to life. From the moment we entered the majestic driveway and saw the stunning golf lawns, we knew our stay would be special—but the hotel exceeded every expectation.
The staff upgraded us to a beautiful room for our anniversary and made us feel genuinely cherished. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail were flawless. Room service was exceptional, the valet service was absolutely worth it, and every interaction felt personal and thoughtful.
The spa facilities were a complete indulgence—the hammam, salt bath, and heated pool were such a treat that we barely wanted to leave the hotel for our planned activities. It truly felt like living inside a palace, wrapped in comfort, luxury, and care. The property itself is so stunning that it becomes an experience in its own right.
We had the most magical two days here. Anantara Villa Padierna Palace sets a standard far above typical European luxury and is easily one of the best hotels to stay at in Europe. A stay here is pure joy, and we left wishing we could’ve stayed much longer.

Villa Padierna is a magical hotel with grandiose decor and gardens.
Perfect for couples and families looking to get outdoor activities or share spa family time.
The restaurants are wonderful with various cuisine selections.
The breakfast buffet is very generous and organic. A lot of delicious options.
The furniture is elegant and comfortable.
The team is very attentive and professional.
Overall a memorable resort to stay in.
Especially for honeymooners.

An exceptional five-star experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, with an incredibly attentive and friendly staff who made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The hotel’s outdoor spaces are beautifully designed, spacious, and perfect for relaxing.
The range of services is top-tier, with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips. There are countless high-quality amenities, all thoughtfully provided and maintained to the highest standards. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a perfect night’s sleep.
A luxurious hotel that exceeds expectations in every detail — highly recommended.

Our stay at Puente Romano Marbella was nothing short of magical—truly a breathtaking, fairytale-like destination.
The property feels like a city within a city, offering an incredible variety of restaurants, shops, and experiences all within its beautiful grounds. Every corner invites you to explore, relax, and enjoy something new.
Although it rained quite heavily during the two days of our stay, and we didn’t get the chance to visit Marbella itself, we honestly couldn’t find a reason to complain. The hotel offers so much that we were completely content to stay on the property and make the most of everything it has to offer.
The accommodations are outstanding, and the staff truly elevate the experience. Every team member we encountered was professional, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay special.
We are so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this incredible destination. We hope to return—hopefully with sunshine next time!

Really nice spot. Nice staff, very friendly. Room depends on the specific location in the resort. We had a very good suite with sea view. Very nice. World class breakfast!! You can even stuff your fresh croissant with various stuffings like apricot marmelade. Great egg preparation station. And much more that you can‘t find in other 5 star hotels!! Beach is fantastic, wonderful chiringuito close by, kilometers beach promenade, far away from any traffic. Just great!!!
Michele Ridgway
We were return guests to the hotel and it is a lovely property BUT the nicest pool is now charging each guest €150 per day for the privilege of sitting there. This changes the whole ambiance of the place and means the other two smaller pools are overcrowded with dissatisfied guests.
The beach is not very nice - certainly not suitable for swimming. There is no warning that this change has been made (due, it seems, to the addition of a new restaurant La Petite Maison). This puts pool staff in the unenviable position having to deal with annoyed guests.
Another issue due to the changes is that breakfast is a bit chaotic with various entrances and not enough staff to seat guests meaning there are people standing everywhere.

Beds were the best thing about this hotel. Though it was two, 4'6" beds pushed together, which took up nearly the whole room.
Very loud pop music by the pool. So you couldn't relax to read. Not enough sun beds.
Bar on the roof closed at 9.30 should be 10pm.
The bathroom old with a shower over bath and a curtain. Had to ask for a non slip mat.
Not spotlessly clean. Toilet was very grubby indeed. Towels old and thin.
There were staff strikes while we were there. Not much choice on menu if you wanted dinner.
Air conditioning difficult to set.

Title: Scenic Rooftop Views and Comfortable Stay
Review:
I stayed four nights at Senator Marbella Hotel and it lived up to its reputation. The room was spacious, clean, air-conditioned, and quiet, with two beds—larger than I needed but comfortable. The rooftop pool was a highlight, offering stunning views of the mountain and surrounding city. I enjoyed relaxing there one evening with a soft drink from the bar while watching the sunset.
Breakfast was decent, service quick, and the staff were friendly, though English was mainly spoken at reception. Internet in the room was reliable at acceptable speed. The hotel is within walking distance of the promenade and about 25 minutes from the old town.
My only suggestion is that the hotel provide clearer information at check-in about amenities such as the fitness room, dining area, pool, and Wi-Fi, since I had to ask about these later. Despite that, my overall stay was very pleasant, and I would happily return.
Amie Melay
Lovely hotel, very central. The pool area is beautiful and the view from the top floor is second to none. The staff are lovely and welcoming, very nice spacious rooms (we booked two twin beds and they were pretty much the size of two doubles)! It was spotlessly clean, the reception area is decorated beautifully, there is a spa but we didn't have time to go while we were there so I can't comment on that.
There was just one unfortunate incident that occurred while we were there - a friend of mine who is vegan ordered food (a dish from the menu that was clearly labelled vegan). The lady came out and asked her if she ate meat, she replied no and that she was vegan (in Spanish). Shortly afterwards a small snack was dropped out (which she hadn't ordered - from what I gathered it was a complimentary "snack of the day") and upon eating a small piece she discovered it was meat, despite telling the lady minutes beforehand she didn't eat it. My other friend returned the dish and said "you gave my vegan friend meat" to which the lady replied "I know." The food had been dropped by a different staff member before the lady had time to inform the kitchen - I understand that these things can happen but she did not come to the table immediately upon realising, we had to send it back ourselves. She came back a while later and apologised but being honest it seemed like a bit of an afterthought - overall I felt it was a disappointing response to the mistake.
Apart from this, we really enjoyed the hotel and all other aspects of it. I am also vegan and had no issues on the one occasion I ate there - just be extra careful if plant-based!

As a family with young children, we always prioritize booking hotels with child-friendly pools. We expect quality hotels to offer pools with shallow entry areas where small children can safely play. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were unhelpful and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. When we went to the pool, we discovered it was much too deep for young children—something that was not mentioned anywhere on the hotel’s website. Because of this, we wanted to cancel our reservation and find a more suitable hotel, but management refused to accommodate our request.
If you are traveling with small children, I strongly recommend looking for other hotel options. Additionally, the rooms are dated and cramped, there are no smart TVs, and the breakfast is mediocre at best. The “nearby beach” advertised by the hotel was also disappointing and did not meet our expectations.

Arriving in Marbella for 4 nights checked into the Senator… which to be honest is an “okay” hotel.
Cleanliness wise there is no problems here.
I had booked a suite, which upon arrival I forfeited as all of the suites face onto the mountains rather than the sea, which is ashame, but the deal breaker was the fact that none of the suites have balcony’s… this was not acceptable to me and I opted to move to a “superior room” which is not superior at all. That said a nice room with a decent bed and furniture setup.
A nice rooftop pool which is ideal for swimming lengths.
A basement “hydrotherapy” pool and which in all honesty needs a refurb.
If you’re looking for luxury and up to date quality, look elsewhere. If you want “affordable” comfort, this will probably work for you
