Spring Hotel Bitacora

For the third year running, we have just enjoyed a fantastic holiday at the Bitcora. This hotel has everything you would want for a couple getting away or a family with kids. The staff are always really polite, helpful and good fun. Andrès in particular did a great job of looking after us and making sure we had everything we needed. The UP! Dinner experience on Monday evenings is very good value and not to be missed! I highly recommend adding this after you arrive. Until we are back again next time, thanks and very best wishes!

Location is ideal and pool view room was great; everything else left much to be desired. Entertainers tried their best but not suitable for teens. We paid for bed and breakfast but only ate breakfast four mornings because we found the food quality extremely poor and, at times, almost inedible. This also meant having to spend additional money eating elsewhere, which we had to revisit our budget for as breakfast was already included in the cost of our holiday. Food and drink service also very slow, particularly at the entertainment bar. This caused additional stress as our child has Type 1 diabetes and needs insulin with meals. When you have no idea whether food will arrive in 10 minutes or much longer, safely timing his bolus becomes extremely difficult. The hotel also insists on bar purchases being charged to wristbands rather than allowing card payments, making it unnecessarily difficult to keep track of spending and leaving you with a running bill to settle at checkout. The sun lounger situation is another major frustration. People reserve beds, meaning we felt one of us had to stay behind while the rest of the family went for breakfast or risk losing our loungers. We therefore couldn’t even enjoy breakfast together as a family, which really takes away from a family holiday. The WiFi is extremely unstable and regularly drops out, which is frustrating and not what we would expect from a hotel of this standard. For about €5k - Unfortunately, the overall experience has fallen well below what we expected.

We had an amazing stay, everything exceeded our expectations. The room was cleaned daily and always spotless, the food was delicious and very diverse, with different themed dinners every day. The location is perfect, very central, and several beautiful beaches are just a 5–10 minute walk away. During the day, the pool area was full of fun activities and entertainment, which created a great atmosphere for both adults and children. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel!

Been twice now to this hotel but wouldn't come back...Rooms are fine but could clean the balconys now and again. Cleanliness about the hotel could be a bit better. Breakfast is fine just the standard 4* hotel stuff. The sunbed situation is madness and the guests that are sprinting for the beds are mental, never seen anything like it. Best bit about the hotel is the location for us with nice restaurants and shops all close by. 3/5

Great hotel, great entertainments. Good selection of food. Very nice that Not overcrowded by the pools, was easy to find a sunbed on every day. Also during all breakfast, lunch and dinner not too overcrowded too which is nice. Breakfast could be extended by 11am as wanted to sleep longer :) Entertainment team is great too with cool competitions. My son enjoyed slides, basketball area and game rooms. Very good location too.
