We only stopped for lunch and drinks so can't comment on the rooms. The food we had was very good, just a lite lunch of fritters and cold drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere, even right next to a very busy beach. A welcome shady escape from the heat for us.

I initially left 1 stars due to a chaotic check-in and long delays with the rooms and luggage. The manager later contacted me, apologized, and offered a complimentary buffet dinner, which was a nice gesture — so I raised my rating to 3 stars.
Unfortunately, I’m now bringing it down to 1 star after what happened at checkout: I was suddenly told I owed €600, with no explanation. Only after asking repeatedly did they realize it was their mistake at check-in. No responsibility taken — just confusion and stress at the end of the stay.
This kind of error — on top of everything else — confirms this is not a 5-star hotel by any standard. Totally unacceptable experience.
After I posted my original review, the hotel manager reached out, apologized, and offered a complimentary buffet dinner, which was very nice. The gesture was appreciated, and the beach experience improved on the following days. I’m updating my rating from 1 to 3 stars to reflect their effort to make things right.
Original review: This hotel claims to be 5-star, but the service and experience were far from it. I booked two rooms. We arrived early, checked in, and were told we’d be contacted when rooms were ready — no one contacted us. At 3 PM, we found out the keys they gave us weren’t even real room keys. No one explained we had to return to reception.
Only one room was ready. We were told the second just needed a quick inspection, but we waited nearly an hour for the key. Meanwhile, our luggage wasn’t delivered, so we sat around unable to do anything. At 3:45 PM, I called again — room still not ready. Key finally arrived at 4:04 PM. Ten minutes later, someone came in to check the dishwasher. Really?
Rooms are outdated, smell like old furniture, and are nothing like what you’d expect at this price point. The private beach is the only decent part — but even that had trash and seaweed in the water.
This place is disorganized and not worth the money. Would never return.

Absolutely stunning! 🌅 The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands is a true gem nestled along one of Malta’s most beautiful beaches. This Radisson Blu hotel is very nice. Service is impeccable and the staff is very friendly. The room we were staying in was showing some wear and age. We had an electricity outage due to faulty microwave. The latter also stopped working after another 2 days. However, the stuff replaced it very quickly.
The location of the hotel is spot on. Sunsets are really picturesque and sandy beach is what a person needs. The pools are also nice, but we used them only once. Part of the external pool is reserved for adults.
The restaurants in the hotel are at the right level. Chicken Tikka Masala in Essence of India is amazing. Breakfasts very rich and for everyone - also vegetarians and vegans.
