Our stay at Porto Carras Meliton was an absolutely outstanding experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the very first moment of check-in, everything was perfectly organized, and every member of the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication.
The hotel offers a rare combination of luxury, comfort, and breathtaking natural surroundings. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and offer spectacular views, while all common areas are maintained to the highest standards. The service was fast, friendly, and always ready to assist, making our stay even more enjoyable.
A very special thank you goes to the Guest Relations Manager, Kyparisi Evi, who was incredibly professional, kind, and always available to help us with anything we needed. She truly made a difference in our experience and is one of the main reasons why we are already planning to return to this hotel.
The restaurants offer delicious food with a wide variety of options, and the additional facilities such as the pools, private beach, and various activities make this resort perfect for both families and those looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.
Overall, Porto Carras Meliton is a destination we highly recommend without hesitation. It’s an experience truly worth having, and we will definitely be coming back again.

It's very kid friendly, to the point where everyone ignores the "do not use scooters inside". But it's better if you get right outside if the smokers don't bother you.
Unfortunately, the food options are extremely limited, and had to wait 30 minutes just to get inside the breakfast hall. That's mostly because other hotel guests just ignored the line and kept a steady stream skipping the line.
And the buffet wasn't really worth it, because who knows how long the eggs were under the heat lamp to develop their leathery texture.
The other reviews are accurate as of spring 2026, it's only a 5 star resort if they were purchased from Temu.

I stayed at Porto Carras Grand Resort for two nights in May 2026 with my partner. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay - mainly thanks to the exceptional service - but there are also a few important downsides, especially regarding food temperature and coffee.
From the very first moment, the service was outstanding. Our luggage was taken care of immediately, and we were warmly welcomed by genuinely kind and attentive staff. Throughout the entire stay, every interaction felt natural, friendly, and professional - always helpful, always in a good mood, and never intrusive. It’s rare to experience such consistently positive service across all areas of a hotel, and this really stood out.
The lobby is large, modern, and very impressive. Since our room wasn’t ready yet, we were offered a welcome drink right away, which made the short wait very comfortable. Check-in itself was quick and smooth.
We received a complimentary upgrade to a sea view room, which was a great surprise. The room was very spacious, slightly dated in style, but spotlessly clean. The view over the marina was beautiful and added a lot to the overall experience.
Cleanliness across the entire resort was excellent - from the rooms to the lobby, buffet area, pool, beach, and even staircases. Everything felt very well maintained.
The location is another big highlight. The resort is set on a large, gated property with security and direct access to the sea. The pool area is clean, spacious, and well equipped with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and the beach is just steps away with a beach bar serving surprisingly good coffee. A special plus: there is a golf club right next to the resort, just a 3-minute walk away, which is perfect if you enjoy golf or simply want a beautiful surrounding for walks.
However, the main downside of our stay was clearly the food temperature and the breakfast coffee.
Breakfast offers a very wide selection - eggs, pancakes, waffles, bread, cheese, desserts, plant-based milk, nuts, and more. In terms of variety, it’s excellent. But the coffee from the fully automatic machines was genuinely disappointing and not what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Even more importantly, much of the food was only lukewarm. Unfortunately, this was a consistent issue.
Dinner had the same problem. The selection is large and the food itself tastes good, but again, most dishes were only lukewarm, which significantly affects the overall experience. In addition, if you arrive later, a noticeable part of the buffet - especially desserts - may already be gone. Some items are refilled, but not all. Drinks at dinner are also relatively expensive.
The hotel can get quite loud, particularly during breakfast and dinner times, as there are many families with children, which sometimes makes the atmosphere feel a bit busy and chaotic.
Overall, I would still come back, especially in the off-season, as the price-performance ratio is very good. However, for a 5-star hotel, the issues with lukewarm food and poor breakfast coffee should definitely be improved.
Pros:
* Outstanding service - consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming staff
* Excellent cleanliness throughout the entire resort
* Very spacious rooms, beautiful marina/sea views
* Great location: secure, directly by the sea
* Nice pool and beach area with plenty of space
* Golf club right next to the resort (3-minute walk)
* Good value for money (off-season)
Cons:
– Food consistently only lukewarm (breakfast and dinner)
– Poor coffee quality at breakfast (fully automatic machines)
– Dinner buffet not fully restocked later in the evening
– Drinks at dinner relatively expensive
– Can be noisy and crowded at peak times
