Great and huge Resort with excellent service. 100% top notch service, located in a huge area, very good quality of rooms, nice and friendly receptionist and an excellent Guest Relation manager. The guest relation manager was able to convert our experience from good to very good with her extra effort and I must mention, hats off to the room cleaners, I have never seen such clean rooms in any other hotel. Good swimming pools and private beach and a gym that is 24/7 open. Very good experience as a whole. May be a little bit more activity areas for kids playing and a little bit less option food options for non meat eaters which was eventually solved by the initiatives by the guest relationship manager.

I want to leave the review since I left the hotel today. I am not the kind of person to be very needy and unhappy with my trips around Europe that I had with travel and bussiness. Although me and my wife were not happy with the room quality. The biggest issue was the toilet not flushing and it seems to be a huge problem around all of the hotel houses. We tried to ask them to fix it. The maintenance guy came by quickly and tried to fix it but it wasn’t fixed since after 1 flush it started all over again. I asked the reception next day a second time to fix it and also asked maybe they could give us another room because I wanted to enjoy my stay and not do work for them by running around asking for maintenance guy but they told me it was impossible to get us another room through the large premises that they have:) By the way second time no one came and the third time I asked no one came. No one really cared it seemed so far from reception. So mainly we had to use the toilets the old fashioned way by flushing them somehow with buckets which doesn’t sound like a 5 star hotel experience:) After paying over 2000 euros for a week this was a very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend anyone to choose this hotel because it is just a gamble to have a proper room I guess.
Also we were surprised that we had to pay 115 euros/week fee for something we didn’t really understand but maybe I just somehow didn’t notice it while booking the trip, nevermind that is not an issue for me but just want to let other people know that you will have to pay a fee on arrival
Food was good, location was good, bartenders were nice.

Disappointing. As others say more a 3/4 star hotel. Rooms were shabby and lacked maintenance such as door handles loose, patio doors not shutting correctly allowing draughts and skirting boards hanging off etc. Bathrooms were unfinished, no silicone around basement and tiled edges etc. showers sprayed all over the bathrooms making the rooms very slippery and requiring every towel we had each day to mop up. Maintenance tried to fix it but to no avail. The ‘entertainment’ was some of the worst i have ever seen. A couple of better ones but no real place to watch such as a stage etc. Often outdoors and people pulling up plastic chairs. The food to be fair was perhaps the best I have seen in an all inclusive. Something for everyone with out side bbq chefs and the pre booked Italian restaurant was also very good. The private beach is all small stones (no sand) which leave you pebble dashed if wet feet which some won’t like. However a great place for snorkeling if that’s your thing. A short walk to the local shops where there are a few bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. There is a bus outside that takes you to Heraklion but it wasn’t reliable and 45 euro taxi to get back… Everything in those hotel is spread out and up some steep hills so perhaps not good for the elderly or disabled. We booked a cottage but were given an ‘upgraded room’. I wouldn’t like to see what the standard room looks like…

We had an amazing vacation and truly want to thank the whole hotel team for such a warm and unforgettable experience. From the very first day we felt welcomed, comfortable and cared for.
First of all, a very special thank you to Stella and Eleni from the bar team. They were incredibly kind, open-hearted, attentive and caring. They always asked if we needed anything, smiled sincerely and made every day feel special. People like them create the atmosphere of a hotel and make guests want to come back again.
In general, the entire hotel staff was wonderful. Every morning and evening when we came for breakfast or dinner, we were greeted warmly in different languages with genuine smiles. The kitchen and restaurant team were always friendly, helpful and attentive — constantly cleaning, refilling food and making sure everyone felt comfortable. The food was delicious, fresh and there was always a huge variety to choose from.
We also want to mention the beach staff. Even before the beach area officially opened, we were lying on towels and the staff immediately came to us, brought sunbeds and kindly told us to relax and enjoy. That level of care and hospitality was truly impressive.
The à la carte restaurant experience was also excellent — very professional service, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food.
Another very important thank you for the beautiful room we received. We were given an amazing room with a garden and sea view, very close to the beach. It was exactly what we hoped for, and we are very grateful that our wishes were taken into consideration. If we ever have the chance to return, we would love to stay in the same room again.
The hotel territory and nature were absolutely beautiful — it truly felt like paradise. Everything was clean, green, relaxing and well maintained. The rooms were cleaned every day, and when we arrived, we even found a bottle of wine in the refrigerator, which was such a lovely surprise.
We also appreciated that the staff at reception and in the bars tried to communicate with us in German, since our English is not perfect. As guests from Ukraine living in Germany, this made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
The pool bar staff was also incredibly friendly, and the manager/supervisor around the bars was always professional, attentive and kind.
It was also great to see that the hotel has areas and activities for children, including water slides, which created a very joyful atmosphere for families.
Honestly, everything was wonderful — the people, the food, the atmosphere, the nature and the service. We felt truly happy there. If we had the opportunity, we would have gladly stayed longer.
Thank you again to the entire team for such beautiful memories. We will definitely remember this vacation and hopefully come back again someday.🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

We were generally very pleased with our stay at Out of the Blue Resort in Crete. We were kindly upgraded to an en-suite room with a shared private pool and a secluded garden with loungers. The suite was very spacious, beautifully designed, and the housekeeping was excellent.
Customer service was good, and it was easy to book à la carte restaurants. The ladies at guest services did their best to assist with reservations, and each restaurant offered a unique design, a balanced menu, and attentive service. The kids’ club facilities were also very impressive.
Our 2-year-old loved the kids’ disco, but the volume was often higher than comfortable for children, and staff didn’t adjust it despite parents’ requests.
Entertainment, however, felt a bit underdeveloped and was not available every day. On the positive side, the spa is highly recommended, and the resort is a wonderful place to unwind. Yoga lessons were enjoyable, though offered only three times a week and scheduled at 8 am, which unfortunately coincided with breakfast time.
The beach is not the strongest point: the public sandy beach is quite narrow and lacks facilities, while the private beach has good facilities and a nice bar/restaurant for lunch but no sand (although the water was very clean).
My only real complaint is that hot drinks like coffee and tea were not included at lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurant — surprising for an all-inclusive resort. Also, the landscape is quite hilly; although golf cart service is available, it can be hard to get one at busy check-in/check-out times, and waiting can take much longer than the 5–10 minutes promised. Walking is often faster, but those with mobility issues should be prepared for delays.
Overall, this is a beautiful resort with excellent service, impressive facilities, and plenty of opportunities to relax, with just a few areas that could be improved.
