Staff are great. Friendly and helpful.
Room is fine and kept very clean by housekeeping.
We didn't pay a lot for this holiday so the slightly disappointing evening buffet is easily overlooked.
Evening entertainment was surprisingly good most evenings.
Enjoyed our stay.

Just home after spending 3 nights at the Melia. This is a big hotel over two blocks with a pool between the blocks and roof top pools on each as well. The room was nice, good bathroom. All rooms have a balcony. When we arrived we discovered that the ac was set to heat at 18 degrees I rang asking to change setting and was told that this is their winter setting to turn off a and put on fan. The fan didn't work we logged this with the hotel and no one came to fix it during our stay. As a result we had to leave the door open all night. Room service was poor, day 2 we rang to get the room serviced, which was eventually done at 3.30. They didn't empty the bin in the bathroom, left a dirty cup and didn't replenish toilet rolls. The food at breakfast was very good, huge choice, also ate at roof top and this was good as well. Bit of a mixed bag, they have entertainment every night in the bar.

This is a great resort in Torremolinos!
The room was amazing (booked a Level junior suite). It was located on the top floor corner so had a 180 degree view of the ocean and main pathway along the beach.
Service is top notch as all staff through the property are very friendly and courteous.
The location is perfect as it’s right across the road from the ocean and is right by the path that winds up to the town center and the main shopping and eating areas as well as the train station, about a 10 to 15 minute walk depending if your coming down or going up with luggage (there are 193 steps that are very wide and not steep). About 10 minutes to the tourist info center, where most of the tour buses do the pickups, and about 15 minutes to benalmadena.
We added the Level room and breakfast as options. The breakfast buffet in the main dining hall downstairs was pretty good as there were plenty of options with prepared food, bread, cereals and fresh fruits. The full carafes of coffee and hot milk is a nice way to start the mornings.
The Level lounge at the roof top (floor 10) was a mixed experience. It was nice to have a separate pool area at the top with deck chairs with amazing views of the ocean and it is quieter than the main pool area at the main level. There’s also breakfast served there but options are very much limited compared to the main dining area. While they do offer tapas and alcohol every day from 7-9 the food is pretty underwhelming. There is all day soft drinks and wine and coffee as well as light snacks like candy and chips, but the food is pretty stale. The concierges at the Level desk are very helpful and you can also checkout here rather than downstairs at the large checkin desk.

Just arrived home after a lovely relaxing 5 day stay at the Meliá. Ideally situated 15 mins taxi ride from Malaga airport.
Cannot fault the hotel at all, lovely spacious rooms with sea view, beautifully clean and well presented everywhere. Staff were very friendly and bar/restaurant was so efficiently run.
Great food and entertainment each evening.
There’s a very quirky little lift up to the town nestled between the rocky hillside and the hotel’s conference centre but for the more adventurous there are steps to the top.
Definitely recommend this hotel and will stay at the Meliá group whenever possible in the future.

The location is the best thing about this place. Right by the water, great beach club etc.
The hotel is basically full of old people, I didn’t see anyone under the age of 70 less 5% of the guests. The rooms are tiny and bathrooms are even smaller. If you have two adults it’s 1 in 1 out.
They are also going through construction so every morning we heard banning.
If you stay here, the level is the way to go. Any other room and you will not have a good time. Also the gym was awful, no AC and no equipment.
I won’t be back to say the least.
