We stayed at Mediterranean Blue this summer and had a truly wonderful experience. The resort is family-run, and the entire family is exceptionally warm and welcoming. They made our stay very comfortable and were highly accommodating throughout, especially ensuring that our two toddlers had an enjoyable experience.
The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, and we particularly enjoyed the convenience of the resort’s private beach, which we visited each evening to watch the sunset. The pool area was also excellent, including a dedicated children’s pool, which was ideal for families.
The resort has a charming setting with beautiful architecture reminiscent of a traditional old town. The owners and staff were consistently friendly, approachable, and happy to provide recommendations or assist with booking excursions directly from the hotel.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the food, with themed evenings such as pizza night and BBQ night adding variety and atmosphere to the stay. Unfortunately, we missed the Greek night due to the dancers’ unavailability, as it was rescheduled to our departure day.
There are a few small improvements that could further enhance the resort, such as adding a few bathroom amenities and potentially expanding the fitness area. The existing gym equipment is functional but could benefit from additional space and maintenance.
Overall, we had a memorable stay and greatly appreciated the hospitality. We hope to return again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming family-run hotel. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention the owners put into making their guests feel truly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble—they went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The atmosphere is warm and personal, something you just don’t get with larger hotels. It felt like being a guest in someone’s home rather than just a place to stay. The little touches and genuine kindness made all the difference.
If you’re looking for a place with heart, excellent service, and a truly relaxing environment, I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We’ll definitely be returning! Thank You, Penny & Family.

We spent a week with 2 friends, Penny and all the staff go out of their way to make you feel special.
Great location, excellent food.
Our room was adequate while not luxurious. The bathroom in the room we stayed in could use a little tlc but the shower was very good and all functional.
All in all a very enjoyable stay.
Just got home to dull, cold Norfolk 🙁

We stayed at Mediterranean Blue in Kavos this September, it was a great experience! The hotel is officially 3 stars, but for us it felt like much more. The rooms were clean and cozy, with everything you might need — fridge, kettle, even a little stove, which was super handy when we wanted to buy and eat something ourselves. The beds smelled fresh, everything was tidy, so we felt really comfortable.
And the food… wow! So tasty, so Greek, every meal felt like home-cooked. Breakfasts, dinners — all amazing. And the Greek evenings with live music and dancing! We had the best time.
In Kavos we have found several nice tasty restraunts too.
The owners and service are the heart of this place — warm, kind, and always ready to help. You really feel like you’re welcomed into a family, not just staying at a hotel. Thank you, guys, a lot!
There’s also a set of pools which we enjoyed a lot, and you have three beaches nearby. We tried all three around the hotel. The hidden one, behind the little hill (20–30 min walk), became our favorite — beautiful, calm, with clear water. Totally worth the walk! We visited other even better beaches of the Islands on the north - eastern side of the island, and the Korfu city. There's no any problem to rent a car on the island.
The sea was gentle and safe, shallow for a long time, so it’s perfect for kids or anyone who isn’t a strong swimmer. The views — amazing! Plus the weather in early September was just perfect: sunny, warm, but not too hot.
All in all, this place gave us many good memories — tasty food, friendly people, Greek music and dancing. If you want nice Greek holiday feeling, I absolutely recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel based on last season’s reviews, but after staying here and also reading some newer ones, I’m honestly not sure what to think. With all due respect to the staff (who were genuinely kind and hardworking), I can’t help, but feel that some of the comments about hotels in Corfu, not just this one, might be fake or at least influenced. That’s just my theory, but it doesn’t match my experience.
During our trip, we stayed at two different hotels in different parts of the island, and compared to the other one, this property is hard to rate higher than 3 stars given the price and descriptions.
The room was disappointing. The sea view was only visible from the balcony, not from inside, and the balcony itself was shared with the neighboring room, separated only by a low wall that gave little privacy. Inside, the space felt outdated for the rate we paid. The bathroom was particularly problematic: the glass panel of the door had fallen off, so from the bed it looked as if someone was showering right in the room, and the shower itself was very small, already uncomfortable for someone around 1.80m tall, despite being renovated. On top of that, ants were all over the room. The one positive was that the balcony door provided excellent sound isolation. Even with a nearby hotel blasting music with DJs until late, once inside we couldn’t hear anything and slept well.
We only used the room to sleep since we were out exploring during the day, but overall, compared to what we got at another hotel for a similar price, this one felt overrated. If you’re coming to Kavos to party, it might be a good fit. But as travelers and explorers, the only real advantage for us was the nearby port, which made boat trips convenient.
The food was another weak point. Breakfast and dinner were underwhelming, both in quality and variety. If you arrived late, you couldn’t expect much to be left, which is understandable, but even at the start the selection was very limited. As someone who enjoys desserts on holiday, I was a bit disappointed to find only one option available, and not even a Greek one. I suspect the limited choice was because few people ate at the hotel, but still, compared to other 3-star hotels, it was poor. This makes me disagree with reviews claiming the food was "amazing" or offering a "huge selection", that simply wasn’t the case here.
Staffing also seemed like a real issue. Apart from the cleaning ladies, who did a good job, the hotel felt understaffed. I constantly saw the same four people working: one person at reception who was also making cocktails and cleaning tables during meals, another lady cleaning tables at breakfast, a woman preparing the food, and a man who worked as a gardener and was the one who let us in when we arrived late at night. They were clearly stretched thin and looked exhausted, which made me feel sorry for them. It seems the hotel as a whole is in need of renovation and more staff support.
From a value-for-money perspective, I think there are much better options in Corfu, places where you can enjoy a nicer beach with a better shoreline, more food variety, renovated rooms, and a quieter atmosphere outside of a party town. Of course, that last part was partly our mistake, as we trusted the comments here before booking.
