We checked out of Malia Bay Beach Hotel today and honestly could not have asked for a better stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, spotless, and perfectly located for anyone wanting a relaxed and friendly environment in Malia, Crete.
We stayed in a swim-up pool room which made the experience even more special, and having the hotel’s private beach just a short walk from the pool area was perfect. Everything about the stay felt first class from start to finish.
A huge thank you to all of the amazing staff who went above and beyond during our stay, especially Marianna and Stella, who helped organise a special spot on the hotel’s private beach for my proposal. Their support, discretion, and attention to detail made such an important moment unforgettable for us both, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they did.
We also had the chance to experience the onsite spa, Senra Spa, where we had amazing massages and received really helpful advice on wellbeing treatments. The staff there were equally fantastic, friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit.
Every member of staff was always happy to help with anything we needed, from booking taxis to giving advice on local areas, restaurants, excursions, and places to visit.
The location is also ideal for exploring Crete, with easy access to historical attractions, beautiful seafront towns, amazing restaurants, and local shops.
I would highly recommend Malia Bay Beach Hotel to anyone planning a trip to Malia who wants a quiet, chilled, welcoming, and high-quality place to stay. We will definitely be returning in the future.

My new husband and I were here for our honeymoon and the staff have been very welcoming.
We had a 2 minute tester massage from the Senra spa people who were incredibly lovely and went through their offers with us.
The massage itself was lovely from beginning to end, the staff were very professional and gentle, taking great care to make sure our preferences were adhered to. Absolutely amazing experience, spa, treatment and people. Thank you very much!

In general, everything was very good, a quiet location and a nice hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful. Its a perfect place for adults, younger people looking for activities should probably skip it, as there are many older guests (mostly from Germany).
The food was generally good, but after 4–5 days about 30% of the dishes started to repeat. Ready-made salads were almost always not very good, but there was always a choice of fresh vegetables and fruits, so you may do you own salad :) If you love sweets, note that almost all cakes are made from same ingredients, but anyway it's tasty.
Our room had a great view. We were lucky to get it. The bed was good and cozy, and the room was clean.
The only "problems" we faced were:
1)You can get water only near the pool bar.
2)You may not get a beach towel because they run out. We were lucky to get one the next day, but this was in October, so it’s hard to imagine what happens during high season.
If we will get back to the Crete again, we definitely check that place again.

Lovely hotel very helpful and any concerns have been sorted straight away. Free upgrade on room. All staff Lovely and friendly. Had a very nice massage at the senra spa all girl very welcoming and had a fantastic massage from kristallia definitely recommended 👌

I used the senra spa at malia bay beach hotel and bungalows and the experience was excellent, really affordable and worth the money! i was so relaxed i fell asleep! christy and marina were incredible!! would 100% recommend
