The hotel was beautiful and situated on the beach. The beach itself was lovely sand and you could rent sunbeds for €10 a day. The water, however was very wavy for June and you needed sea shoes to swim. I will note that the pools were amazing and had plenty of sunbeds so there was no need to reserve them (these were free). The food was quite good and they would make you something vegetarian if you asked, there were different things most days for dinner. Despite the gorgeous scenery, I would not consider this to be an all inclusive. Ice creams had to be paid for and there was a limited drinks menu included. These drinks were strong but you were only permitted 2 per person at one time and they were small cups. Bottled water was also not included in the price and there were limited staff numbers serving at the bars, leading to long queues. Overall this was a good holiday, although somewhat misleading as an “all inclusive”.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The food was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety, and the beach is just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. On top of that, the hotel has been recently renovated, so everything looks fresh, clean, and modern. Would definitely come back!

We stayed for a week at the hotel, all of the staff were friendly, helping where needed and extremely accommodating with request. We had to pleasure of being helped most of all by Marianna who quickly became our new bestie at the hotel! She was very engaging and as a local of Crete guided us to lovely restaurants with views of the city and overall helped us immerse ourselves in the local culture doing research for us upon request she really went above and beyond for us, practically planning our week for us! Another special thanks to all the bartenders Chatzi, Eva, and Mary were bubbly and polite (and made great drinks!). The buffet/kitchen staff were smiley and provided a wide variety of foods. Whoever makes those desserts however deserve a phenomenal raise. Overall, it was a great stay.

A wonderful hotel with excellent service. The staff quickly handles any questions or requests, and the food is really delicious. The restaurant service is at the highest level. I was especially pleasantly surprised that the restaurant manager Mario also took care of a stray cat that was asking for food near the restaurant. It was very touching to see that business does not take away from simple human kindness and compassion. Thank you Mario for your warmth, kindness, and care — it truly makes a difference! highly recommend this hotel. It has a warm, family-like atmosphere, delicious cuisine, and a truly welcoming and caring team.!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A wonderful stay full of relaxation, Greek flavours and unforgettable memories
I stayed at Malia Bay Beach Hotel & Bungalows for a couple of weeks and had such a lovely, relaxing experience. It quickly became the perfect place to switch off, slow down and enjoy everything Crete has to offer.
Most of my days were spent by the pool, enjoying the sunshine and peaceful atmosphere, with a few beach days in between. The hotel’s location right by the sea is beautiful and makes it so easy to move between the pool and the beach whenever you feel like it. I would recommend bringing swimming shoes if you are planning to go into the sea, as they make the experience much more comfortable.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the food. There was always a great variety of options, with something for everyone, including both vegetarian and non vegetarian choices. What I especially appreciated was that the hotel included traditional Greek dishes every day, which really added to the experience. I loved being able to enjoy favourites such as dakos and stuffed vine leaves, along with many other local flavours. A special mention also has to go to the chef’s souvlakia, which were absolutely delicious and something I always looked forward to.
The staff truly helped make the stay even more special. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. Whether it was something simple like organising towels, answering questions, or taking the time to recommend places to visit and excursions to try, they always approached everything with a smile. Their kindness and hospitality created such a warm atmosphere throughout the hotel.
A particular highlight of my holiday was the Green Cruise sunset excursion, which was recommended during my stay. It turned into one of those experiences I will always remember. Watching the sunset from the sea, surrounded by beautiful views, was honestly magical and left me with memories I will treasure for a long time. I could not recommend it enough to anyone visiting.
Overall, my time at Malia Bay Beach Hotel & Bungalows was exactly what I needed: relaxing days by the water, delicious Greek food, friendly people and beautiful moments. I left feeling refreshed, grateful and with so many wonderful memories.
