You are not going to be disappointed but not also surprised. The hotel have a nice location just next to the beach (but sunbed is 5 EUR) and is a 10 min walk from the bus stop that you can take to Heraklion and Hersonissos. The hotel have great pools and comfortable sunbeds and is in connection with the restaurant. Food is decent/okay but could improve a lot on the selection, mainly on the main courses. The young chef though has a heart of gold and was very pleased to serve us what he cooked. The bar was good with great all inclusive options with the greatest staff member Sakis. The lobby though was awful with no air condition and no lights. Also it is crawling with cats all around the hotel, even at the pools which is for some people really uncomfortable. The gym was terrible, the machines were broken and nothing proper to use. Room was though better than expected and there is a safe there to use for free which is always good. Overall it was a good hotel but not a 4 star hotel for me. Maybe 3,5 star hotel.

I had a wonderful one-week stay at Astir Beach Hotel and can highly recommend it.
The food was delicious, the hotel was “always always” very clean, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to the hotel manager Mr. Michalis A. Chatzinikolaou and all staff members for their kindness, professionalism, and attention to guests. Their dedication made my stay truly enjoyable.
I would also like to thank the Naya Club team Mr. Iliyas, Miss. Irına and Mr. Ahmad. The activities, entertainment, and overall atmosphere were fantastic and added so much fun to the holiday.

My stay at Astir Beach Hotel was truly exceptional, and one of the highlights was undoubtedly the outstanding food. Every meal was prepared with great care, creativity, and attention to detail. The quality, freshness, and presentation of the dishes were simply excellent.

One of the greatest pleasures of my stay was being given the opportunity to visit the kitchen. It was inspiring to see the team at work and witness firsthand the effort, coordination, and love that go into preparing each meal. Just back from a superb holiday in Crete where I stayed in The Astir Beach Hotel, Kato Gouves.
From the moment of stepping through the hotel door we were met with warm hospitality and friendliness from the hotel manager and all the staff. They were so friendly and helpful.
The hotel facilities were great.
Comfortable, clean, well appointed rooms.
Cleanliness was faultless throughout all internal and external areas.
Breakfast and evening meals full of many choices and reflected the tasty vegetables and fruits of Crete.
Outside areas and swimming pools were super.
The location of the hotel is great and it is only a few steps over to the beach and the Sea of Crete.
The hotel manager goes the extra mile to make sure everyone has the best experience staying at the hotel.
I would highly recommend booking.

I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to go with your kids. It is very close to the beach, right across the street.
It has a pool for the kids, a small playground and entertainers who are playing with them. The food is delicious and diversified, and the waiters are very nice, very kind people.
