Mac Puerto Marina

We had an excellent stay in the Mac Puerto Marina, despite some awful weather. The hotel is in an great location, right down by the sea, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and well maintained by the excellent staff. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, from reception, to the restaurant, bars, cleaners and maintenance people. The breakfast is really excellent with a very wide selection of choices, only let down by poor quality orange juice, but there are daily changing, freshly squeezed juice combos such as banana and melon. There is a nice lounge bar with nightly changing entertainment. During our stay, we were on the younger side of the majority of guests, with most being in their 70s/80s and from mainly northern European countries, such as Norway. It was an excellent hotel for a winter break, friendly, efficient, comfortable and peaceful.

Really great hotel. Wee drink on arrival & reception staff were always very welcoming & helpful. Room very spacious - loads of coat hangers & storage space. Free drinks - 2 beers, 2 waters & 2 soft drinks. Coffee & tea replenished as required. We were B&B - the choice at breakfast was massive - something for everyone & constantly being updated. We had an excursion one morning & had to leave before breakfast & hotel prepared a bag for us with sandwich, fruit & juice. Entertainment in lounge every night with the singers being of a high standard. Particularly enjoyed Oskar Castillo. Bar prices in lounge not too bad - €4.30 for a large glass of wine. Location is first class - right on the marina so loads of restaurants nearby.

Amazing hotel with great staff. We felt welcome, the staff is very warm and kind. High quality, fresh and very tasty food. I have histamine intolerance and I could eat everything here and I didn't have stomach aches. Excellent organization of the dinner and I appreciate the good idea that each guest has their own table for dinner.

Here at the moment booked for new year expecting a gala night with foud, drink and music got it wrong, got the food and wine but if you want to be entertained you have to pay an extra 50 euros each! Now I appreciate a night with food drink and entertainment for 50 euros is good but not on top the price we’ve already paid for half board and entertainment every night, we’ve already paid a premium because it’s new year and to ask for more I personally think is disgraceful wouldn’t have minded if we new about this when we booked it!!!! So here we are sat in our room went out a bottle a bottle of vodka, coke and ice! Never book here again!!! We’ve been several hotels for new year and this has never happened before, everything has always been included hence the price you pay!

The hotel is in great location next to the beach and the marina. We went bed and breakfast and there was a wide and varied choice including fizz. Staff were excellent from the moment we walked in the door. Only complaint is the room was sort of below ground so we really couldn't sit on the balcony as we looked at a hill. Other than that the room was cleaned daily and at the time of year we travelled plenty of sunbeds.
