We was reccomended this hotel by a travel agency, knowing full well it was out first ever holiday abroad and we wanted it to be all about the kids and for them to have the best time, to then arrive and spend it here we was totally gutted!
This hotel isnt for kids at all maybe toddlers but not for any kids 5+. There was no activities during the day at all even though their website states it does have kids club and activities they did not when we was there. They only had a 30 minute disco on at 8.30pm in the evening with the same 5 songs playing! The kids were all using the adults pool as the 'kids' pool is unsuitable for any bigger kids and cannot fit many in.
The lifeguard was absolutely useless half the time she was with another girl sitting in a corner on their phones the whole time! We felt like we could relax and sunbathe as I was too worried that something would happen to the kids and they wouldn't even notice. Absolutely shocking for health and safety reasons. Us parents are allowed to rest on holiday and this was far from relaxation.
Drinks were fine I think they could have better on tap but that's just personal preference overall they were drinkable. Food wasnt great, they did the same all the time mainly and alot of it didnt look edible. But the pizza, chips and pasta was all fine.
The hotel was clean rooms, there was no kettle in our room so we couldn't have hot drink in the evening. The tea/coffee machines are not open 24/7 they shut when the restaurant and bar shuts.
Some staff were friendly like the guy who welcomed us the others not so much especially around the pool side they looked like they didnt want to be there.
There is nothing on the beach for the children either only cafe and gift shops, nothing they can get involved in.
I would not recommend to anyone with children over 5. We are gutted out first time abroad turned out this way safe to say we will not be visiting this hotel or stalis again.

We had fantastic seven days in this hotel. Incredible place to relax and "recharge batteries". We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Thank you for fantastic time.

Overall a great place, with the staff being a particular highlight.
Pros:
Every member of staff was so friendly and attentive, with Dionysus the bartender being genuinely the best bartender we've ever met - he made every night so much fun.
The live Greek music on the first night was also a highlight, they were exceptionally talented and the outdoor bar area is a lovely place to sit whilst we listened.
The pools are great too, we didn't attend the children's pool as we didn't have kids with us, but the adults pool area was quiet enough and we didn't have trouble finding sun loungers. Good water temperature, jacuzzi jets in the pool up the stairs, and a nice water feature in both adult pools.
Rooms were kept very clean and the waterfall shower felt luxurious - we're missing that shower now we're home!
Great location too, not too far from the beach but far enough from the main strip that it's peaceful at night.
Cons:
The only con was the food which was hit and miss - some of it was excellent (the baklava and the grilled pork skewers were particularly good) whilst some of it was poor.
They did have a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, although the salads often had no label so we didn't know what was in them.
Some of the desserts were bad, tasted like they'd been kept in a cheap fridge. Some of the meat dishes were poor too and the grilled vegetables tasted like they'd come out of a tin or jar.
That being said, I didn't take a star off because of the food as there was a wide selection and always several good options, so there will be something you'll enjoy every day. And again, staff in the restaurant area were very friendly and attentive - there was a man who I assume was the restaurant maître d'/manager who was always there and greeting guests, which is a good sign.
Overall, a great place to stay, we'd definitely come back if we're going on holiday in this area again. Thank you to all the staff, I highly recommend Katrin Hotel & Bungalows!

I booked a twin room with a plunge pool and It was the perfect escape I stayed in room 2001.
The hotel is clean, the staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to make your holiday perfect.
Dennis in the bar has the patience of a saint and is so great with everyone of all ages.
The food was a good standard, very fresh and a nice selection.
I had a complimentary massage which was outstanding and so needed. A lovely touch.
The location is ideal just a 5 minute walk from the beach and everything you need.
I have been to many destinations and this has to be one of my favourites . I can’t recommend it enough.

Just spent 8 nights at this lovely hotel. Can’t fault it. Perfect for everyone, couples, families or friends. Food was amazing and snacks an added bonus. We were all inclusive and it far exceeded our expectations. All the staff are a credit to this hotel. Couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. You won’t be disappointed. Sorry to leave, but will endeavour to return.
