Had a great time here on our holidays.
A well appointed hotel with very helpful and obliging staff. Food was plentiful and I'm sure something for everyone fit's the bill. Bar and entertainment were decent and as most of the clientele were of mature years nothing too raucous. The pool and garden were spotless as was the hotel and rooms. It is another hotel on the list of a revisit is needed

Took my 15 year old daughter for a last minute getaway mid exam studies in October for 4 nights. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel including the fact that an Irish band (Patrick Feeny) had taken over the hotel for week! We loved it so much I’ve just booked today to take husband and both daughters for a family trip this June. Staff are great - location 10/10. And I love the fact it’s so close to the airport but not on the flight path so it’s great watching the planes fly in without the noise you get in Malaga - and the transfer is super quick.

4.10.2025 My second stay at Hotel Amaragua in Torremolinos was generally okay, though the room was smaller than on my previous visit. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis — breakfast was lovely.
We chose not to have lunch by the pool, as the service was very slow; it was actually quicker to walk along the promenade to a nearby restaurant.
A couple of issues arose during our stay: one morning, a maid entered our room immediately after a quick knock while we were still inside — unacceptable. On another occasion, used towels were removed but not replaced. There also still seems to be an issue with the single rolling beds, just as on my previous stay.
On our last night, there was a Caribbean music event with dancing, which was fun, but when checking out we found drinks added to our bill that we hadn’t ordered. The issue was resolved, but it shouldn’t have happened.
On the whole, it’s a nice hotel — just be sure to check your bills carefully before paying, at Hotel Amaragua or anywhere else.

Room is ok, but if sleeping with other half its a bit difficult as it's 2 single beds with wheels that allows the beds to move in the night hmm not great

The hotel impressed me with its beautiful building and friendly staff, but what stood out the most was their humanity. When it was my husband's birthday, they kindly agreed to prepare a small cake. It was an unforgettable experience when they brought it to him at breakfast with a lit candle and heartfelt congratulations. Moments like these are often remembered and shared with friends, making it a wonderful opportunity to recommend this place to other visitors. In today's world, it is truly special to meet people who are willing to help with such small, thoughtful gestures, especially when there’s little time to prepare a surprise.

31.08.25 came back for a 4 night stay but chose half board this time not b &b as in June this year. Chose half board as I had a look in the dinning room at dinner time last time we stayed and it looked good. How disappointed we were, all the hot food in the dinning room was cold. The old mad chef in charge was his usual unpleasant self. Each night there was a meat hanging on a scewa, chicken, beef, pork but it was always cold or tough as old boots. The beef one night just could not be cut even with a steak knife. If you asked for one of the raw meats on display to be cooked, they gave you the over cooked meats from under the counter. The chips were undercooked and cold as well. It was all very frustrating it could have been so good. Breakfast was the same, bacon overcooked, beans cold, porridge cold. The best part was the pasta which a lovely lady cooked fresh each night. We could only get a side sea view not a suite like in June but it was great, spotless clean as always, lovely bathroom. We did have a problem with one of tge twin beds, I sat on the side of it and it tipped up, after checking we found it fad one caster and legs not all the same length. We told reception first night but it didn't get fixed till two days later. The sliding wardrobe doors stuck and was difficult to open and covered the set of drawers which we couldn't use, we reported it but nothing was done. This is a beautiful hotel but they need to sort out the restaurant. There is an escalator up to the restaurant but when it is busy people are queuing on it. If you buy drinks at dinner you pay on the way out of the restaurant but this also caused a bottleneck, not well thought out.
June, 2025 We are staying at the MS at the moment and cannot fault the hotel. The hotel is amazing, the decor is beautiful and the staff are lovely and very helpful. The restaurant is amazing, the food is fantastic and presented in such a way as to really give a wow factor. There is everything you could possibly want and more. The restaurant is stunning and the view over the pool and beach is lovely. We would definitely come back and do not understand why people have written bad reviews. Yes the hotel looks dated but it is typical old Spainish colours. The bedrooms are massive, the bathroom has a fabulous large bath and separate shower and the hotel provide toothbrushes and paste, shower caps, combs a sponge and even a razor and shaving foam which are excellent quality. The hand wash and moisturisers are all by Ritual and are lovely. Everything is thought about. The biggest selling point is the cleanliness, the hotel is spotless and the cleaners do an amazing job.
The only problem we encountered was the guests, running to be first to get a sun beds at 8.30 am. It is embarrassing really. There are plenty of sun beds so no need for any of it. They line up waiting for the doors to open then literally run for the beds then leave there towels and go. Very annoying.
