Took my 15 year old daughter for a last minute getaway mid exam studies in October for 4 nights. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel including the fact that an Irish band (Patrick Feeny) had taken over the hotel for week! We loved it so much I’ve just booked today to take husband and both daughters for a family trip this June. Staff are great - location 10/10. And I love the fact it’s so close to the airport but not on the flight path so it’s great watching the planes fly in without the noise you get in Malaga - and the transfer is super quick.

Had a great time here on our holidays.
A well appointed hotel with very helpful and obliging staff. Food was plentiful and I'm sure something for everyone fit's the bill. Bar and entertainment were decent and as most of the clientele were of mature years nothing too raucous. The pool and garden were spotless as was the hotel and rooms. It is another hotel on the list of a revisit is needed

Plus points:
Lovely hotel and location.
We had a sea view room, which was beautiful.
Breakfast was plentiful and very good, although we went down early on our last day and the bread was stale, presumably the days before.
Negative points:
There was a 7 day dance convention on in the hotel from early afternoon until 9am EVERY DAY 1st October to 8th October which we weren't made aware of when we booked - direct with the hotel too!!!! The noise was horrendous, partying all night, having no consideration for other guests who wanted to sleep between midnight and 9am, which I didn't think was an unreasonable request, doors banging at all hours, talking and laughing in the corridors, music being played in the rooms.
We had to ring reception at 3am one morning to ask for music to be turned down in the room across from us.
We received an email from the hotel mid stay, asking for feedback and if they could make our stay any better, unsurprisingly we didn't get a reply!
When we mentioned it at checkout, all that was said, that the dance convention was the same time every year, and a small apology.
They need to make guests aware that the convention is taking place and not to book that hotel if you don't want to get involved.

The hotel impressed me with its beautiful building and friendly staff, but what stood out the most was their humanity. When it was my husband's birthday, they kindly agreed to prepare a small cake. It was an unforgettable experience when they brought it to him at breakfast with a lit candle and heartfelt congratulations. Moments like these are often remembered and shared with friends, making it a wonderful opportunity to recommend this place to other visitors. In today's world, it is truly special to meet people who are willing to help with such small, thoughtful gestures, especially when there’s little time to prepare a surprise.

4.10.2025 My second stay at Hotel Amaragua in Torremolinos was generally okay, though the room was smaller than on my previous visit. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis — breakfast was lovely.
We chose not to have lunch by the pool, as the service was very slow; it was actually quicker to walk along the promenade to a nearby restaurant.
A couple of issues arose during our stay: one morning, a maid entered our room immediately after a quick knock while we were still inside — unacceptable. On another occasion, used towels were removed but not replaced. There also still seems to be an issue with the single rolling beds, just as on my previous stay.
On our last night, there was a Caribbean music event with dancing, which was fun, but when checking out we found drinks added to our bill that we hadn’t ordered. The issue was resolved, but it shouldn’t have happened.
On the whole, it’s a nice hotel — just be sure to check your bills carefully before paying, at Hotel Amaragua or anywhere else.

Room is ok, but if sleeping with other half its a bit difficult as it's 2 single beds with wheels that allows the beds to move in the night hmm not great
