I booked this hotel because of the many positive reviews online, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
From the moment we arrived, I noticed that the area around the entrance looked poorly maintained, with litter on the ground. I travel quite often and usually stay at Iberostar hotels, but this time I decided to try something different. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the wrong choice.
Let’s start with the food. Overall, I found it disappointing — much of it was not particularly tasty or appetizing. At breakfast, the eggs were often either cold or simply did not look fresh and appealing. Dinner was better, with more variety and generally better food.
Cleanliness was another issue. On the terrace, there were often napkins, sand, pieces of food, or other rubbish on the floor. These may seem like small details, but when you notice them repeatedly, they create an overall impression of poor maintenance.
The staff also seemed rather disorganized, almost as if the hotel was understaffed. They were constantly rushing around, yet service was often slow and inattentive. On several occasions, they forgot about things we had ordered, such as wine. Sometimes we could sit for around 20 minutes without anyone approaching us, and eventually we had to find a waiter ourselves just to place an order.
The room itself had an interesting design, and I would not have had many complaints if it were not for the visible signs of moisture on the walls and a bed cover with holes in it. Again, these are details, but they are not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard.
One of the main advantages is the location directly by the sea, which makes getting to the beach very quick and convenient. Unfortunately, the sea was so cold during our stay that hardly anyone was swimming, so most guests stayed around the hotel pool instead.
There is also very little infrastructure around the hotel, so this is mainly a place for people who plan to spend most of their holiday inside the resort. The hotel does organize different parties and entertainment, which helps bring some atmosphere and variety to the evenings.
Overall, this was unfortunately the worst holiday experience I have had in the last few years. There was no single major problem, but rather many small issues — cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and inconsistent service — that added up and significantly affected the overall experience.
Based on my stay, I would not choose this hotel again.

Lovely hotel with a perfect beachfront location! The staff is super friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. We loved the beautiful pool area and the fantastic rooftop bar, which offers delicious drinks and amazing sea views. It’s also within walking distance to Estepona Port via the beach.
Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked for two nights, otherwise we would have gladly stayed another night. We highly recommend this place.

We recently stayed at the Estepona Palace and would happily recommend it. It’s a well kept hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff were excellent, always friendly and willing to help. The rooms were spacious and clean and always kept spotless by the daily service Food was diverse enough for all nationalities and even though I’m a relatively fussy eater I had no problems finding food every night. The clientele is quite international and we met some very nice people. There is a good size beach outside of the hotel with sunbeds and we never had any problem getting a sunbed there. Around the pool some beds were sometimes a problem to get with some who think it’s okay to save beds all day and not touch them. One couple (British!) put all their stuff on two beds in the Sun and then went and found the only two beds in the shade and sat on them. They would’ve been the first to complain if in any anyone else had done that. It’s a beautiful location, but it is a little far from any bars, restaurants shops, et cetera. It’s a pleasant 20 minute walk in the day to the marina where you will find shops and bars and restaurants but after dark it’s not lit in certain parts and you have to walk through scrubland and Sand dunes. We took a taxi into Estepona which cost €10. We walked back, which was a solid hour and a bit. First half of the walk was beautiful up to the marina, but that’s when we found that the walk back had to be via the roadway which wasn’t so nice to look at. Hotel itself though was brilliant.

Lovely hotel, stunning sea views, extremely clean with really nice bars and restaurants on site. Various activities/entertainment available during the day and evening. Really good sized rooms with comfortable beds and pillow menus, great housekeeping team. Really enjoyed our holiday here and would definitely recommend. All the staff were professional, helpful and really friendly. Looking forward to returning.
Have to make a special mention to the restaurant team. Ricardo, Roberto, Gabriel and all the great servers ensured that my dietary gluten free requirements were met. Great breakfast basket and a tour of available dishes and deserts every night. This was fantastic for me as I had huge choices and felt safe and confident with the team. This makes a huge difference, so many thanks to the team

Fantastic beautiful room nicely decorated with a lot of style. Very clean with a nice balcony and sea views. The staff is really nice and friendly giving a vert good service. The buffet food is very good. The awesome pools and its greeny tropical gardens with the palms trees makes you feel like paradise. There is a nice beach in front of the pool as well.
