We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at the Grand Blue Beach Hotel and would return in the future, without a doubt.
The rooms are spacious & modern, with great sea views overlooking Turkey & some of the other Greek islands in the distance. You could sit for hours on the well sized balcony. We slept amazingly well during our stay, the beds are comfy & a great size too. My only criticism of the room is the shower, which could be cleaner & updated to more modern standards.
All of the staff are super friendly & extremely helpful in the bars & restaurants. The service was always fast, there was very rarely a queue at any of the bars, even during busier serving hours.
The food wasn't great at the hotel, if you paid for an all inclusive package, you may be disappointed, as there wasn't a huge selection of food on the buffet each day. The options at meal times are repetitive & often taste quite bland. Luckily, Kardamena is only a 10-15 minute walk away, where there are a wide variety of bars & restaurants to choose from, with much tastier options, especially for an evening meal.
We enjoyed having the choice of 3 very clean & well maintained pools, each with a different vibe, plus a nearby pool bar to all of them.
The location of the hotel is great for those wanting to venture out, whether that be to the nearby beach, the waterpark or just Kardamena itself. It is on quite a steep hill, which we didn't mind tackling every day. For those who struggle walking, there are golf buggies buzzing around the hotel grounds to give you a lift if needed.
There's also plenty of parking available, at the bottom of the hill near the beach, or at the top outside the reception building.
Pretty much everywhere in the hotel has a breath taking sea view, we can't wait to return to soak it all in again!

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days, and honestly, it was the most gorgeous and peaceful place I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were incredible, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Martha at reception was especially amazing; she’s so sweet and kind, and she instantly makes you feel welcome and at ease.
The room I stayed in was lovely. Housekeeping came daily, replaced the towels, and changed the bedsheets almost every day, which was such a nice touch. The breakfast was good, though it can get a little repetitive after a few days — still, plenty of nice options to start the day.
The pool isn’t heated, but I still really enjoyed using it, especially with the beautiful views around. The views from the hotel are absolutely gorgeous — you can see both the sea and the mountains, which makes it feel so calm and scenic. The whole vibe of this place is 10/10 — quiet, peaceful, and the perfect little getaway, whether you’re travelling solo or with others.
The hotel is quite big, and the hills can be a bit challenging to walk, but they have golf carts available that you can call from your room, which makes getting around super easy. Wi-Fi is provided and works in almost all areas of the hotel, which was really convenient. The beach is also just across the entrance, so it’s really easy to pop over whenever you want.
This was my first ever solo trip, and it honestly couldn’t have gone better. It made me fall in love with this place and with travelling alone. Kardamaina is only about a 15–20 minute walk from the hotel — such a lovely area with nice food and shops to explore. Kos Town is also worth a visit, only about a 40-minute bus journey away, and full of nice sights and restaurants.
I’d definitely come back again — it’s the perfect mix of relaxation, beauty, and amazing service. I left feeling completely recharged and happy. Thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable stay!

Cannot fault this hotel! Absolutely stunning all round. Friendly staff, amazing room service. Good food, didn't think much of the entertainment but the town is a 10 min walk away with Absolutely loads!
One thing I will say is we found a lot of the other guests very rude and some what 'entitled' 🤣🙄
We would go back!

We stayed for 2 nights on a Bed & breakfast basis so never tried the food in the restaurant but to be honest I feel it would be such a shame as there are tons of restaurants 10/15 mins walk away. This is not a 5* hotel (price does reflect that to be honest), it is a very nice 4* but the service is "casual" so you will get no help with your luggage, no waiter service at breakfast and you will not be shown to your table. However our breakfast table was cleared on a regular basis of its dirty dishes, breakfast buffet was replenished regularly and the choice was extensive. We had a suite with beautiful sea views. The room décor was recent and everything looked modern, A/C was working, it was refreshed every day, Wifi was working. Bathroom amenities were lacking for a 5*, no hair conditioning just a shower/hair product. I appreciated that it was from a Greek origin. No vanity set, no cotton wools or tissues. Hand soap and body lotion bottles were available. Hair drier was pathetic if you had long hair, ok for short ones.
Martha at Reception was amazing, cheerful and always happy to help. A real asset to the hotel. Coming in September meant that the pools were quiet (bliss), no screaming children and no fight over the sun loungers which must be a real issue in peak season as I saw no pool attendants anywhere. Again you get the ones who will put their towels on the loungers early in the morning and then disappearing for hours. The hotel should have staff around not to allow this in a 5* hotel.
The location is great as out of town night noises but only 10/15 mins walk to it. The town is charming with bars, typical tavernas and a beach. Don't bother about the land opposite the hotel which they might refer as a "beach", it is tiny, sand mixed with pebbles/wood/seaweeds. Dreadful.
I would most probably go back to this hotel should I return to Kos, it is chill and convenient for airport and cruises to the Volcanic Island.

Myself and my family have just stayed here over the October half term. Ideal location, near to Kardamena Town. The hotel is lovely, great staff and tasty food. A choice of pools, and areas to relax including a well appointed gym. We hired a car for two days, ideal to venture around the island of Kos, just be aware of the prices, it’s not cheap to go out and eat, fuel (unleaded) is £1.87 a litre, UK is £1.27 at the moment.
We went during the hotels final week of the season, so the place felt very personal, which suits us. However the main entertainment stopped on our second night, don’t forget to take UNO! Overall superb, very relaxing, a real holiday.
