We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astier Odysseus Coast!
The room was spacious, bright, and very clean – with a lovely balcony overlooking the shared pool. It was nice and quiet, perfect for relaxing.
The food was excellent: a rich breakfast buffet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and in the evening a great selection of fresh, delicious dishes.
The entertainment program was enjoyable as well. I can especially recommend the spa area – very clean, with a great atmosphere. I had a massage with Katja and felt completely comfortable and well taken care of.
A truly beautiful hotel to relax and unwind – we would love to come back!

My stay at Astir Odysseus was absolutely perfect! Everything exceeded my expectations from the beautiful rooms to the excellent service and amazing food. The atmosphere was relaxing and elegant, making it the ideal place for a peaceful vacation.
I also had a wonderful experience at the spa. A special mention to Sam for the incredible massage it was truly unforgettable! The whole experience left me feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend both the hotel and the spa to anyone visiting the area.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel and were especially impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, helpful, and truly committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. That personal touch made a real difference.
The rooms were lovely – decorated in soft, calming tones with tasteful furnishings that created a very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel itself is ideally located: close to Kos town, yet peaceful and beautifully maintained. The highlights for us were definitely the private beach, the charming pathways winding through the grounds, and the lush greenery with vibrant flowers throughout the property. The food was also a big plus – varied, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. 🩷
There were just a couple of points that didn’t quite match the overall quality. The spa staff were quite pushy in promoting their treatments, which felt out of place in such a refined and relaxing environment. Also, while the hotel rules clearly state that reserving sunbeds and hanging towels from balconies is not allowed, we noticed this happening regularly. We feel the hotel could take a stricter stance on enforcing these rules, in order to maintain its high-end feel. ☺️
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return! 🫶

I honestly can’t say anything negative about this resort. It is absolutely beautiful—from the hotel rooms to the exterior grounds, facilities, and dining areas. Everything is well maintained, clean, and visually stunning.
That said, this is very much a family-style resort with many families and children. The majority of guests appear to be from Germany, as there are direct flights available, and Kos is a popular destination for German travelers. If you’re a single traveler or someone seeking a quieter, more adult-focused experience, this may not be the best fit
I normally wouldn’t choose a resort like this on my own, but I came on a family trip, and in that context it was ideal. However, if I were traveling solo or with a group of girlfriends, I would probably prefer a different setting.
The resort offers a dine-in buffet package, and I have to say—it’s probably the best buffet food I’ve ever had. The food is high-quality, and if you’re someone who prefers to stay on the property rather than venture out, this is an excellent option. Personally, when I’m in Greece, I love exploring local restaurants, but I can absolutely see how this setup works perfectly for families with children who prefer the convenience of staying in.
There are several pools on the exterior grounds, but they are consistently filled with children. If that’s something that would bother you, I wouldn’t recommend booking here—kids are everywhere. Because it’s a large resort, there are always a lot of people around, though it feels very safe, secure, and clean at all times.
The resort does have a private beach behind the pool area, but seating is limited and you need to get there very early in the morning to secure a spot, especially during peak season. Also, the beach sits directly behind the pools, where loud DJs entertain the kids, so if you’re expecting a peaceful, quiet beach experience, this likely won’t meet that expectation.
That said, there are several beautiful beaches within driving distance, and the nearest town is about a 15-minute drive away. The location is convenient—close enough to shopping, restaurants, and other beach options.
Overall, I think this resort is perfect for families with children, as it offers flexibility to either stay on-site or explore the surrounding area. They also have a gym and a spa, and I highly recommend getting a massage—the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating.
For single travelers or those looking for a more adventurous experience that immerses you in Greek culture, this may not be the most ideal choice. But for families seeking comfort, safety, and convenience, it’s an excellent option.

We have visited Astir Odysseus on Kos for the fourth time - 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025, and it truly is the perfect family hotel. Everything is just right. The hotel is exceptionally clean—there always seems to be a member of the service team working. Everyone is diligent and genuinely friendly. The rooms are spacious and well-designed. The food is a highlight—an absolute dream! Fresh pizza, roasted meats, a chicken cart, gyros skewers, and fresh sandwiches in the morning, all overseen by individual staff members. The hotel has invested significantly in its personnel, which is evident. Eight years ago, it was still a little-known gem for families, but now you can see many parents with their children and even grandparents at the tables. Families can be themselves here; it truly is a safe place. Another important aspect is the extensive pool facilities. Even when the hotel is at full capacity, you can always find the perfect spot by the pool or on the beach. Guests are well-distributed, so you never feel overcrowded. Towel reservations for sun loungers are unnecessary, as there is always a place to relax. Overall, the hotel is the true reason we keep returning to Kos. Here, you really experience your dream vacation.
