Domes Zeen Chania, A Luxury Collection Resort, Crete

We stayed for five nights in a 2-bedroom villa. The villa was spacious, with 2 great bathrooms. It is very modern, with a large terrace and a small pool. The room was clean. The hotel is built on/in a hill; you can use a buggy to drive you around or can walk using stairs. Our room was very high up, and we walked up and down every day, very doable if no mobility issues. The main pool is very long and great for swimming; there are plenty of chairs available. The beach has fewer sun loungers, and it can get full but doesn't feel crowded. The beach has a mix of stones and sand. The breakfast buffet is served at the restaurant next to the pool and has a large and good selection of food. We had half board included and ate mostly at the hotel. The menu is changing daily, and the food was tasty. They also had a great sommelier; she made excellent wine recommendations. All the staff was really friendly, and there was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. We walked to Chania Old Town one evening and had dinner at a nice restaurant recommended by the hotel.

Thanks again to the amazing staff at Domes Zeen who made us feel welcome at any time of day. It was exceptional! We arrived quite late (9.30pm) but were given the chance to have a late dinner immediately upon arrival after a quick check-in. The half board option that we booked did not dissapoint: buffet breakfast or a la carte breakfast and a 3-course lunch or dinner were included. The options vary a bit from day to day (and yes, after a few days there was repetition, which was totally fine). But the food itself was great – fresh, rich in variety, savoury, light and everything in between. The menu at the pool/beach bar was also great, a bit pricey, but food & drinks were delicious. The hotel complex is built into a small hill, so you either have to walk up a few stairs tot he reception or take the golf cart-shuttle. Our room (6006) was close to all amenities, which was perfect. Everything including the restaurant, pool and beach area were close by. We enjoyed our complimentary room upgrade for our last night to a bigger room with an accompanying pool very much! In general the rooms were spacious, cosy and clean – nothing to complain! What we also loved about Domes Zeen was the way our daughter was made feel welcome. She had her own kids menu with a lot of different food options (the kids food always came first). The hotel has a lovely little playground that is open for everyone at the hotel and also a kids club, where you can book timeslots for children at the age of 4months to 3 years or 4 years and older. Our daughter didn’t go there, but having the option was great. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and it was everything we hoped for!

Excellent service, high touch, but without being overbearing. Felt welcomed, and the attentive detail by the staff was welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised by the food offered in the restaurants, and was pleased with the fact that we had half-board as part of our reservation - we were able to pick lunch/dinner as an additional meal. The staff was warm, welcoming, and I would highlight the food to be excellent to boot. The rooms were well appointed with generous space. Will visit again. This hotel was the highlight of our trip.

Incredible hotel and overall experience. We travelled here with our two young children (4 and 1). The kids club was beautiful and our son was happy to go every morning for new and fun activities. The resort is beautiful and overall very relaxing. This will be a very hard vacation to beat and we can't wait to come back someday.

We stayed at Domes Zeen Chania with my family and had an unforgettable experience. The resort is spectacular, with an incredible design that perfectly blends into the surrounding landscape — every detail is beautifully curated, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The service is truly outstanding. A special mention goes to Christos, part of the hotel management team, for his warmth and professionalism, and to the beach service staff — especially the young man who was absolutely tireless and always smiling. They really made our stay extra special. A perfect destination for couples and families alike. We felt genuinely welcomed and can’t wait to return. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
