Just got back from a wonderful stay at this perfectly placed hotel. When you walk out of the door, turn left and you have everything you could want right there. Lot's of bars, restaurants and shops. All very friendly. As for the hotel I can't praise it enough. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The two men who do the water sports and some of the entertainment were great. ( Ben and Sammy ). Very clean. I even saw cleaners sweeping leaves and petals from the pathway in the middle of the day. The food was excellent with lots of choice. Some of it cooked on display.
Location, perfect (on Google the red dot should be higher )
Food, couldn't fault it.
Staff, helpful and friendly.
Clensleness, Very clean.
All in all. Loved it.

A good hotel in a good location, plenty of nearby touristy shops, restaurants and sports bars all within walking distance of the hotel in Ialyasos.
We stayed in a land view room for 10nights not 4 star UK rating, however comfortable and adequate, some of the fittings could be updated bathroom excellent had been updated.
Housekeeping staff excellent and every where was spotless
Restaurant and food also very good, however dinner time can be manic and very busy need to get there for 7pm when it opens or wait till 8ish to get a table . Restaurant staff friendly and work their socks off.
Reception staff helpful and friendly.
The hotel has lovely grounds and it's own beach, windsurfing school next door.
Good pool and towels provided.
Rhodes town short drive away bookable mini bus available from the hotel.
A bit of night time entertainment, bar prices for those not all-inclusive reasonable in some cases cheaper than local bars.
A few negatives
Local tourist tax payable on arrival 10 euro per night
Sun beds on the grass area and beach are 4 euro a day which is a bit of a ripoff seeing as it part of the hotel.
A charge for using the safe box in room ours was 25 euro for 10 days.
Area opposite the hotel vacant buildings .
On the flight path to airport which is not a problem all hotels on that coast would be.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday.

It's a big popular hotel right on the beach.
Really convenient for me as it is next door to the pro windsurfing centre.
Modern well appointed clean rooms.
Great cleaning service with nice little touches on the towels and free drinks.
Buffet breakfast is extensive, fresh and warm with something for everybody by the looks of it.
Friendly helpful staff.

The dirty dusty aircon made us poorly. THE DOCTOR STATED IT WAS AIRCON.
The extras you have to pay for. This is not 4 * not in service or cleanliness and the food was dyer . The noise, the loud music, are we in Faliraki.
No need for such loud music for aqua exercises. We can hear it loud and clear on the beach where we paid for peaceful sunbeds. The receptionist were un approachable and argued back when we raised another point about restaurant billing.
We are not complainers,, we were poorly, our priority was doctors, chemist and getting better!
We have been to many 4* hotels, this is not.
Please secure people's cases and property, the suitcase room doesn't even have a door, all to see. Its a security concern.
Thankyou for responding.

Honest Review July 2026
Pros
• We arrived in the early hours of the morning our room had fresh fruit and refreshments, which was a lovely touch.
• The hotel had a lovely appearance and made a good first impression.
• Complimentary bottle of wine provided to enjoy at any time during the week.
• The room was always kept clean and tidy, with fresh towels everyday.
• The older gentleman and the younger member of staff in the main bar were both friendly, pleasant, and welcoming.
• Two or three members of staff in the main restaurant were also very pleasant and helpful.
Cons
• If you're considering all-inclusive, think twice. We felt all-inclusive guests were treated differently from paying guests.
• The snack bar closed at 5:30 pm for all-inclusive guests but remained open for those paying separately, which felt very unfair.
• It was almost impossible to get a sunbed around the pool because they were taken very early every day.
• As the hotel couldn't provide enough poolside loungers, you then had to pay £4 per sunbed to sit on the grass area or the beach. This should be included for hotel guests.
• The ladies' toilet by the pool was in a disgusting condition. The toilet seat was green, cracked, and heavily urine-stained.
• The staff at the snack/surf bar were consistently miserable, rarely smiled, and made little effort to engage with all inclusive guests.
• There was entertainment on some nights, which was okay on some evenings and not on others, but that is standard. However, if you wanted to join in bingo, you had to pay €10 each, which we found very unfair. This should all be included within the holiday for all families to enjoy.
• Food
Breakfast: There was plenty of variety, but it catered more towards German tastes than British. However, I appreciate that breakfasts abroad are often different from what we're used to.
Lunch and dinner: There was always a good variety of food available. Some dishes were repeated, but there was enough choice that you could always find something different. The meat dishes, in particular, were cooked very well and were one of the highlights of the food.
Drinks (All-Inclusive)
The all-inclusive drinks were disappointing. The cocktails were pre-made and didn't taste very nice.
The spirits available on the all-inclusive package appeared to be of a lower quality than those served to paying guests. The drinks purchased by paying guests looked fresher, tasted better, and were presented much more nicely.
The main bar stopped serving all-inclusive drinks at 11:00 pm but remained open for guests who were paying, which again made us feel that all-inclusive guests were treated differently.
Overall
Unfortunately, I would not stay at Blue Horizon again. Throughout the holiday, we felt that all-inclusive guests were treated as second-class customers, while guests who spent extra money received better treatment. It gave the impression that the hotel was always looking for additional spending rather than providing the same level of service to everyone. If this is how the hotel chooses to operate, it may be better not to offer an all-inclusive option at all.
Whether you're all-inclusive, half board, or bed and breakfast, every guest should be treated equally. Sadly, that wasn't our experience here, and because of that, I would not return to this resort.
