We had a lovely holiday at the AVRA beach resort. The food is buffet style and the dinner changes theme daily. For an all inclusive resort with so many people, I was impressed at how good the food actually was. You get a voucher to have one meal at the waiter served restaurant too which is superb. That was our favourite evening of the holiday as the food was fantastic and the setting of the restaurant is very beautiful.
The rooms are modern and comfortable and you are given beach towels to use around the pool and on the beach.

Absolutely stunning location and beautiful looking hotel.
Rooms: generally clean and look nice and modern , though missing a few wee touches like hooks or rails to hang towels up in the bathroom area, a shelf in the shower for toiletries. Safe needs to be paid for separately, which I think is just rude.
Our room wasn’t always cleaned properly and towels weren’t always changed even when putting them on the floor.
Bin was emptied, but full bin bag left on desk.
Dirty cleaning cloth left in bathroom.
Floors weren’t cleaned either, a couple times we removed dust bunnies ourselves.
Explained all this to reception and was told “the cleaners probably didn’t have enough time” I asked them to make sure our room was cleaned properly and to provide fresh towels, but it still wasn’t done properly.
Food: good food hygiene, edible for the most part, given its buffet style food, it’s good, but some nights we had to opt for salad based meals as the meat just doesn’t look all that appealing at times. Desserts are always spot on!
Staff: a bit hit and miss tbh, some are your generic hotel staff friendly, some not so much, did not really experience the “Greek friendliness”
Entertainment: was fairly disappointing to the point we opted to go into ixia for some entertainment or just went to our room a few nights. We found one of the entertainment crew to be creepy, so avoided him at all cost.
There is absolutely nothing there for teenagers, nor do the entertainment staff even attempt to get them together.
Overall, I would say a neutral experience, leaning a little more to positive than negative, I would highly recommend for the location and possibly for older childless couples, but wouldn’t really recommend for single parents of teenagers.

What an amazing hotel!
We had a lovely clean and well maintained room, the entertainment crew were fantastic to the point we all have (wakey wakey shakey shakey ) stuck in our heads, pool was kept gleaming, bar staff were amazing as were the snack bar, food was great for all Inc, fully recommend the Greek lunch bar,
The only down side is the cobble beach but with the beach shoes it's not a problem, snorkeling every day in the aegean sea was great too,

Great hotel great food actually enjoyed the pebble beach bcos sand didn't get anywhere the pool was a great family atmosphere with music and kids was clean. They should improve the reception bcos it could be better and first impressions are important and the arrival area outside. The lifts are a bit small and our room had no divide between sleep area and bathroom so was a bit awkward going to toilet as it was a frosted glass door obviously with a light that illuminated your activities. These are all minor hinderences bcos overall it won us over loved the food variety and OMG the sunsets on the beach were spectacular. Local shops were good car hire was close and we were at northern tip of island so close to old town and butterfly valley and petting zoo all great and highly recommended as well.

Sam, tibi, lia and bogie are all absolutely amazing entertainment hosts really made our holiday! They need a raise! So friendly, so lovely, attentive, happy, smiley and all 4 so much fun!!! Special shoutout to sam for the aqua gym he has the best vibes!!! Hotel was great had the best week here and unhappy we are leaving tonight! Will definetly be back!
