The property is objectively beautiful, but there are several aspects that need improvement, especially when it comes to the staff.
The first unpleasant incident involved a hotel manager who came to our room and repeatedly knocked and rang the bell because the “Do Not Disturb” sign had been active for more than 24 hours. Setting aside the fact that this happened late in the evening, I found it extremely invasive and, above all, disrespectful toward a guest staying in a very expensive hotel where privacy should be fully respected. At most, this kind of question should be handled when the guest comes down to the reception—not by knocking on their room door.
Another very frustrating issue was the room key cards, which kept getting demagnetized. Every time, we had to go back to the reception to have them reactivated. I understand it can happen once, but in my case it happened four times in five days, which is really annoying.
In addition, the pace at which the reception staff work is extremely slow, both during check-in—which at least happens once—and even for simple things like reactivating a key card, which takes forever. The hotel staff definitely needs improvement for a five-star property.
On the positive side, the breakfast is very good, both in quantity and quality. The rooms are nice, with comfortable beds and good-quality toiletries. I didn’t notice any other major aspects worth mentioning.
In conclusion, I have stayed in many five-star hotels around the world, and this is certainly not among the best.

Firstly, I want to say that the Hotel overall was lovely and the staff very helpful and kind. We had 1 big issue that influenced the entire holiday, sadly and think it is best to advise people thinking of going. When we arrived, we were given a room that 80% overlooked a building site/hotel construction, which was extremely close to the hotel and was very noisy. This is the most expensive holiday I have ever taken my family on (6 year old twins and my wife). I was pretty upset to say the least, especially as no mention whatsoever about the construction immediately next door. You could also hear it when you were around the pool. It took the hotel 48 hours to move us and fully set up a new room, however they were trying to make it even longer to move us, which I wouldn’t accept, I am sure many would. Not declaring this, also the time it took to move, along with that initial sinking feeling when we saw the room for the first time, sadly set a bad taste for an extremely expensive holiday. In addition, those thinking of going with kids, the rooms are quite small and we were given 2 x 4’6 inch beds, which were ok for the kids to share but was not the luxury of many thousands of pounds, my wife and I would have expected. Once moved, we did get a King Sized bed and the kids had a sofa to sleep on and a mobile bed, which took up all the space in the room. The new room was much better view wise and for the remaining 5 days of the holiday we were mostly happy. As it stands, we have not been offered any compensation for the hassle and stress at the start, along with having a room you would pay a few hundred for the location, compared to the fact we paid around 1k per day including flights. Maybe some people would have accepted the view of a building site, but for my families biggest ever holiday, I think it was unacceptable. If declared and offered at half price for that side of the hotel, then I don’t think anyone would have an issue. The rest of the stay and the holiday were great and I would recommend once the building next door has fully stopped. Just don’t get a twin bed room for your family, push for a King bed and 2 kids beds, as much better for sleeping, although no floor space.

This superb Hotel exceeded our expectations completely, for everything. We loved the location. The rooms were fabulous, the food exceptional and the entire staff we found to be the best, nothing was too much trouble.
Our holiday was dampened by the unrest while there last week, but we made the best of things.
We had to cancel most of what we wanted to do, but will be back next year to do them instead. My friend and I agreed that the staff are a credit to this hotel and we would like a special shout out to Memory, who is the gorgeous lady on the desk before going out to the pool area. Also Ismail, who arranged our trips, then kindly cancelled them and arranged a refund.
We hope you all stay safe and that the unrest settles soon.

Well, W certainly does stand for Wowza. What can I say… we’ve just returned from the most incredible week at this hotel, and I already can’t wait to go back.
From the moment you arrive, this hotel exudes luxury and true 5-star service. The valet staff were an absolute delight. Travelling with a toddler can be tricky, but they genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. We arrived well before the 3pm check-in time and were immediately met with thoughtful solutions. Changing rooms to freshen up, a space to unwind, and we were given a room as soon as one became available. The lady who checked us in was delightful and so friendly.
When we arrived at our room, we were blown away. It was spacious and quite possibly the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The balcony offered an incredible skyline view with comfy seating, allowing us to truly relax in our own private space.
Throughout our stay, the resort made us feel like nothing was ever too much to ask. The wonderful ladies at the LIV desk were an absolute joy, greeting us and our daughter every morning. The food at LIV was fantastic, and the buffet was spectacular, with such an impressive variety. A huge shout-out to the kitchen team.
Rita truly spoiled our little girl by decorating our bedroom and providing small gifts. Such a special and thoughtful touch. Thank you, Rita, for making our stay even more memorable.
The pool deck team, both at the reservations desk and out on the floor, Darius, Brian, Memory, and Charles, thank you for completely spoiling us on our pool days. The cabanas were an incredible addition, allowing us to relax during our toddler’s nap times.
The family wet deck area was perfect for us, with three pools to enjoy. We also loved the family terrace and were so well looked after during happy hour by the wonderful Cynthia.
Thank you, W. We will absolutely be back. ✨

I had a fantastic stay at W Hotel The Palm Dubai. Room service was excellent, and everything was always spotless, in the room, at the pool area, and on the beach. The service was truly perfect, it couldn’t have been better. I felt very comfortable the entire time. I would happily come back anytime.
