Quality hotel, everything is very clean and staff are very polite and helpful. Large pool area and no mad sun bed dash as it opens at 9:30 so not getting up at 6am to get a spot. The rooms are large and have a very good balcony with chairs and table. Air con in main room and bedroom. It's located in a peaceful area away from all the main tourist areas and a cheap Uber ride away from alvor, portimao, praia da rocha and ferragudo. The hotel has a gym, and I door pool you will need to ask reception for access for this. It also has a shop and a snack bar and a restaurant. You can also play tennis, football, basketball, paddle ball and crazy golf and table tennis and pool. If you also want to do washing it has a launderette and in your room you have an ironing board and an iron if you are missing do house work. Really liked this place and I think it is better than the Vitors in Ferragudo in my opinion.

We just returned from a wonderful, month long stay at the beautiful Vitor's Plaza in Portimão ! This property is in a prime location to tour the entire Algarve region and beyond. It is preferable to have a car as it is about a 8 minute drive to downtown Portimão and a multitude of restaurants are within a 5-10 minute drive. The hotel is ideal for long term stays as each unit has a kitchen with refrigerator, 2 burner hot plate, and microwave oven. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit with large walk-in shower, livingroom with large tv and kitchen. Each unit has a large private balcony.
The entire complex is very clean and rooms are cleaned daily by an amazing hard working house keeping staff!
There are 2 outdoor pools (1 for tots) and a small heated indoor pool. A small gym to get in daily workouts.
The front desk stars include Beatrice (Bea) who is the most pleasant and welcoming member of the team! Miguel & Fatima also are terrific. The bar has a daily Happy Hour from 5pm - 6pm, great place to meet folks. Bartenders, Carlos & Jose' were great!
We highly recommend staying here at VITOR'S PLAZA ! It is a well managed property and we can't wait to return ! Saúde !

We stayed at Vitor's Plaza in a self-catering apartment with two children and, overall, had a good stay.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout. On our first evening we asked for two extra pillows and they were more than happy to provide them. Housekeeping also did an excellent job keeping the apartment clean every day.
We hired a car, and in my opinion it's almost essential if you want to explore the Algarve. There's very little within easy walking distance, although the hotel does operate a shuttle service if you don't have a car. We spent most days exploring the surrounding area, and I'd strongly recommend hiring a vehicle if you want to make the most of your holiday.
The pool is a good size and my two children really enjoyed it. One thing worth mentioning is that during peak season people start queuing before the gates open at 9:00am to reserve sunbeds with towels, so if having a lounger is important to you, be prepared for an early start. Interestingly, by around 5:00pm the pool area becomes much quieter as many guests head off for dinner, which is when we often chose to use it.
The apartment itself was a good standard and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was very welcome in the summer heat. The beds were comfortable enough, although I'd personally have preferred a larger bed and a few more pillows. In our apartment there were two single beds pushed together in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area for the children.
The kitchenette was adequate but fairly basic. It included two electric hob rings, a microwave and a toaster, but the cooking utensils were limited. For example, there was no spatula for frying eggs and no colander for draining pasta, so cooking anything beyond simple meals was a little awkward. The shower gel holder also came away from the wall on the first day, but as we'd brought our own toiletries it wasn't an issue.
We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as we were self-catering, and only bought a couple of bottled and canned drinks from the bar, so I can't comment on the food.
One downside was the soundproofing. We could often hear noise from neighbouring apartments, particularly furniture being moved around, sometimes late into the evening or early in the morning. It wasn't enough to ruin the holiday, but it's something worth being aware of if you're a light sleeper.
The entertainment finished around 11:00pm each night. It seemed popular with many guests, although it wasn't really our type of entertainment.
Overall, I'd recommend Vitor's Plaza, particularly for families looking for a good base to explore the Algarve. Personally, I probably wouldn't choose it for a romantic getaway or a solo trip, but for a family holiday it offered good value, friendly staff and everything we needed for an enjoyable week.

Not enough sun loungers around the pool to accommodate all the guests. Very annoying when you pay thousands to stay here. Got told what do you want us to do when I told them we hadn't tit loungers. Terrible customer service. Poolaldo has big fencevsriyjf6it that you have to scan in each time I come n go. Very annoying as a guest.
