I chose this hotel specifically because of the indoor swimming pool, but the experience was extremely disappointing and poorly managed.
On the first day, I was told the pool was closed. On the second day, I was told I needed to pay £8 to buy two swimming caps. On the third day, when I finally accessed the pool, the water was extremely cold and not suitable for swimming at all.
I raised this issue with the front desk and was told the manager would come to my room at 7:00 pm to discuss a solution. I waited in my room until 7:30 pm — no one came.
When I went downstairs afterward, the front desk claimed they had called my room and assumed I wasn’t there. This is simply untrue — the room phone never rang. If the manager truly intended to resolve the issue, they could have come upstairs as promised instead of making excuses.
The manager was rude, unprofessional, and showed no sense of responsibility or credibility. In the end, no solution or compensation was offered. I was only told that “next time it would be better” — which honestly makes no sense. After such an experience, why would anyone choose to come back?
This was not just a facilities issue, but a serious service and management failure. I would not recommend this hotel.
Clear communication and basic professionalism were completely lacking.

Stayed in this hotel in February. Beds are comfortable, no noise from other guests and inclusive breakfast was about as expected. Hotel is clean and staff were really helpful. Later check out than most hotels which we found really helpful for our flights. They left a treat for my partners birthday which was absolutely lovely. The area was nice and not far from the beach. Weather was nice being in Feb surprisingly but bet this is beautiful in the summer

Staff seemed very nice and the location is good, but this was supposed to be 4 star. The room was not only very dated, but rundown. Some lights didn’t work; cupboards were beat up; the furniture (actually extra cots) were very uncomfortable, water temperature sometimes went cold for no reason - just badly designed and in desperate need of renovation. Add to the dogs outside that bark most of the night every night, it was a very unpleasant experience. We did report the issues to staff, but apparently nothing could be done about any of it. At least the view was amazing.

Ideally situated for a short walk into the main tourist area, or take the land train which stops outside. For those needing fast food, McDonalds and KFC are across the road. The rooms and hotel is spotless, the food is out of this world for choice and quality. The staff...what can I say except they really make the whole stay so enjoyable with there friendly approach and helpfulness. This is our 2nd time staying here and recommend it highly.

Stayed here for 6 days including New Year’s Eve 2025. On arrival my first impressions were wow what a beautiful hotel. The staff on reception were extremely friendly and polite, the hotel surroundings looked really classy.
Wasn’t too happy with my room, everything in the room was too a good standard but there was this awful humming noise coming from a fan or humidity machine directly under my room. I went to reception and told them I wasn’t happy. Absolutely no problem they said, and changed my room to a much quieter location. Excellent result.
On arrival to my first breakfast sitting is when the whole experience started to unfold.
Bear with me!!
No seating available (had to wait in the queue) okay I thought no problem, it’s happened on many occasions before at other hotels.
Now it all started to go pear shaped.
I was offered a table outside, it’s December, it was cold. So no was the answer to that.
No hygiene stations.
People picking food up and putting it back.
No uncut bread, buns or rolls available, arriving a small amounts, the swooped on.
Jams and butter no where near the bread counter, so caused huge crowds bumping into each other trying to find some.
Chairs broken and wobbly.
Food on the counter tops.
Food on the floor (waiters just walked over)
No salt and pepper on the tables, had to go looking and located near the omelette making area, which caused even further chaos.
It’s an absolute zoo, in fact that’s not true. A zoo is a much better organised place.
The restaurant is a shambles at breakfast time. Far too many people for such a small eating area. I understand that during the summer months, they can provide outside eating areas, but during the winter months (especially for new year celebrations) it needs to be organised better)
So sorry Villa Galé you need to improve on this side of your hospitality.
