Excellent hotel. Our apartment was lovely, clean, spacious, and with everything we needed. I note other reviews mentioning the rooms being a little dated, I would agree, but they are perfectly serviceable. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable. The pillows were small but there were 2 each so it wasn't an issue. The air con was quiet and effective. The kitchenette was well appointed, we didn't cook in but it had a microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, fridge - everything you need. The housekeeping was fab, they came everyday. The hotel itself was kept very clean and the staff were all lovely. Breakfast was good quality, there were only 3 rooms on b&b when we were there but they still prepared the full buffet each day. There was a hot buffet and a variety of cereals and pastries. Everything you could need. The pool area was fab, plenty of space and plenty of sunbeds- absolutely no need for a pre-dawn towel dash! The pool is plenty big enough to never feel crowded. I noted a previous review saying a boisterous group took over with ball games and weren't challenged. In my experience, there was one day when some lads got a bit excitable (it was world Cup time) but reception came out and politely asked them to tone it down. Similarly one evening a group was being a bit loud on the pre drinks and were challenged quickly. Location is excellent, 20 min walk to old town. Good bakery, restaurants, and bars in walking distance. The albuferia terrace shopping centre is local for essentials. It is also close to the strip, we didn't venture that way but it is worth noting that there can be some street noise at 'kicking out time' although nothing i would say disturbed my sleep for more than a moment or two. Overall, a lovely hotel and one I would stay at again. I forgot to mention the snack bar- cracking spot, the lady behind the counter is an absolute gem and they do a wicked cheese and ham toastie. The kids would have happily eaten every meal there given the option.

Just spent a week here. It’s nice, rooms are outdated but do the job and comfy enough. Whole experience was really let down by the pool however, it’s a great pool & sunbeds are plenty but there is no rules for ball games etc. Multiple groups of young men taking up practically the whole pool aggressively playing catch and all sorts so it didn’t feel safe for us to use the pool as they seemed to have no regard for others & no one seemed to care enough to stop them so we ended up down the beach most days. They’d take up practically the whole pool with no regard for anyone else.

Just spent 6 nights in Tropical Sol. It was ideal. 6 minute drive from the old town centre and a 5 minute walk from the strip! The rooms were lovely alongside the pool being gorgeous aswell. The cleaners were so polite and quite frankly some of the only polite staff! Most staff were nice but upon arrival we were treated with the utmost disrespect from the receptionist named Maria. Absolute ignorance and we beleive we were treated with ignorance due to our age. This is completely unacceptable and got our stay off to a slightly rocky start. Other than Maria we really liked this hotel!

I spent 8 nights at Tropical Sol over Easter with my fiance. The place is immaculate with rooms cleaned thoroughly every day. The rooms are very spacious with everything needed in the kitchen. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. Staff are so friendly and give the impression that nothing is too much trouble and guests come first. We didn't eat or drink there so cannot comment on that. The hotel is midway between Old Town and New Town strip. It took us 30 minutes each way. We have booked again for next year.

Must of had the worse room in the hotel, dark and cold no sun on balcony the beds was awful pillows the size of a match box and lumpy the room smelt of urine every time the cleaners mopped the floor. Breakfast was awful cold and not much choice. Staff was quite rude and ignorant. Best bit was the pool area lovely and clean and the snack shop food was delicious with a lovely lady behind the counter unfortunately won't be returning.
