Beautiful area. Well kept gardens. Stayed in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment - a party of 4. Adequate facilities, roomy. Kitchen had good utensils. Toaster stopped working and replacement arrived very promptly. Bathroom - shower door needs updating- bit missing so it leaked. We managed. Outside space was perfect.
3 outdoor pools plus one indoor pool. Tennis courts. Mini golf. Table tennis. Free transfer bus to Carvoeiro- needs booked in advance via reception. Uber very handy. Reception can be very busy but staff are helpful and efficient.

This was by far one of our favourite holidays! The staff were friendly and helpful at reception, as were all the staff we encountered around the resort! Gary who sits outside the little shop, was a gem and so helpful. Full of all the information you could possibly need; directions, places to visit, best days and times to go, all different routes to walk for the best views, where to go shopping....the list is endless! Such a lovely man and a pleasure to talk to. We booked some activities through him too. Would highly recommend doing this for anyone looking to do certain activities. The apartment itself was so unbelievably lovely. Maybe could do with a bit of paint and freshening up at some point, but was really no issue for us. Things are a little "outdated" as others have mentioned, but we loved it to be perfectly honest, made the stay fun trying to work out how things worked 😂 We were like two children exploring the apartment, we had no idea just how big it would be, it was truly a wonderful surprise! The location and views were absolutely stunning. We visited two (of three?) pools and there was plenty of loungers to choose from in various spots. Everything was clean, well looked after and maintained. I think our only disappointment throughout was actually more some parents and their children. Whilst generally most days the pool security was on top of bad behaviour, there were a few times when they weren't, but that's understandable given how busy it gets. We had a family that ruined our time at the pool on a few occasions, due to the children ignoring the pool rules and the parents more busy sunbathing than keeping an eye on what they were doing. All three children were probably around the ages of 7 to 11. Constantly climbing and jumping off of the areas they shouldn't. A few times nearly falling and landing on an elderly lady swimming. They messed around with the hosepipe, soaking me and my book and other belongings. Then I had a football kicked at me several times! None of it is the fault of the resort, but I think when people are causing upset to other guests or endangering themselves and others, it should be a 'one warning and you're out' deal. Also the use of inflatable floats and people reserving beds. Pretty certain the rules state none of this is allowed. Multiple times we saw people throw towels on beds and disappear for hours, in the meantime the poor people that come in and can't sit anywhere because of this; was sad to see their disappointment. Being cheeky and popping a towel on a bed or two, you could let slide, but we saw people reserving as many as six beds at a time and then be gone for half the day! So a bit more enforcement for the rules would be a good idea. Saying that, if guests just done as they were asked, it wouldn't be an issue! All in all we had a truly wonderful, relaxing stay, met some lovely people and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday! We will 100% be back. Thank you to you all 🩷🩷

The resort is located in close proximity to Carvoeiro, a small busy centre with restaurants, tourist attractions, shopping and a local beach. It’s family friendly and attracts visitors of all ages. Day trips to surrounding towns and villages are easily accessible. One can be as active or inactive as one pleases in The Algarve. Accommodations are varied from one bedroom apartments to villas. Not sure how long ROCHA BRAVA has been in existence but if you’re looking for ultra modern housing, you might find the accommodation lacking. Despite that, the people are lovely and friendly.

Had another great holiday in Rocha Brava. A couple of niggles, but yet again a really nice relaxing time. We really enjoyed walking down to town in almost a twice daily basis, but loved returning in the afternoon for a swim in the plunge pool followed by a swim in the main pool and then drying off in the sun.. wonderful. We will be back...
