We visited here in Dec '25 and it was just the most lovely stay. We were actually in the Ria PETIT Karmela and it is literally just across the way from the main Karmela where you have breakfast. These riads are along a small private alleyway that has its own security guard at night time.
The stay itself was lovely, we had a gorgeous room and the riad is so well kept. The staff were SO LOVELY and made us feel so at home. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and there was an omelette and crepe/pancake station where you could get this made fresh for you.
On arrival our driver called the riad ahead of us getting there to order in a meal for us since it was quite late and we didn't want to go out and about. We had the most delicious fish tagine here. The mint tea and biscuits on arrival was also a nice touch.
Location is also great. Few minutes walk and you hit the souks.
All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to book Riad karmela again if we were to return to marrakech.

What a wonderful place. In the heart of the medina, but an oasis of calm among the chaos. Cool courtyards, sunny rooftop terraces, incredible friendly staff (special thanks to Omar, Hakim, Amine + all the others wonderful women & men whose names we didn’t get but truly made our visit). Breakfast was amazing (fresh berries, eggs made to order as you like, homemade pastries, great coffee). Nothing was too much trouble - from bringing ice for our afternoon drinks, to walking us out to a pickup point at 4.30am for an excursion. Highly recommend.

My sister and I visited Marrakesh at the end of May/26 and we have had the best trip. All of the staff members in the riad are incredibly friendly and will help you in anyway they can. We had an issue with our airport pickup and the staff non-stop called the company to try and help us!
The location of our riad was perfect, we were a 5 minute walk away from the souks, which meant that it wasn’t overwhelming as some roads are in the middle of them.
During my stay I also got a scrub and massage both were fantastic!
Our room was so cute, there was so much information available to us and we got new bottles of water everyday as well as a little treat such as cherries or local desserts. The bathroom was clean as was everything else in the room.
The only advice I would have based off of our stay is to book the excursions through get your guide as the ones the hotel offer were significantly more expensive.

We loved our stay at Riad Karmela. The staff were incredibly kind and service-minded. There was a great vibe at breakfast, and the breakfast buffet was really delicious. The whole hotel is simply beautiful. The beds are soft—maybe a bit too soft for my preference. The room and bathroom are decorated in a lovely Moroccan style.
I’m glad I chose one of the hotel’s package deals, including a trip to Essaouira with their driver, Simo. He was incredibly kind and told us a lot about politics and life in Morocco. Thank you for this experience

We stayed here three nights during our visit to Morocco. All the staff is very kind, though our favorite one was, of course, Zuzu the cat!
Mohammed was super helpful and solved all the little issues we had during our stay in the country, just like all the other reception workers.
The location is awesome, right in the heart of the Medina, less than 5 minutes walking from the main souks. The riad itshelf was gorgeous.
