Firstly, the staff are lovely and very welcoming- they always go the extra mile!
Rooms- The cleaners do a great job and the rooms are in good condition. The hotel grounds are really big so it’s possible that you will have to walk quite a long way to get to the reception/ pool, so be prepared to walk a lot! The rooms don’t have a kettle which is a bit of a let down as you’d have to walk so far to get to the bar for a hot drink & the bar closes at 12am & when we tried to ask for hot water at the bar (you could see the coffee/ hot water machine was still on behind the bar) we were told that we couldn’t have it as the bar was closed.
Food- The main restaurant has lots of food options so there’s something for everyone. However there isn’t a lot of meat to choose from and not every item is labelled so this is risky for those with allergies. The snack bar isn’t open daily and after 3.30pm you can’t get any savoury food or snacks, only waffles and pancakes.
Drinks- the drinks aren’t the greatest. If you just want to get drunk, the drinks are great. However, if you actually enjoy cocktails these are very basic. The cocktails are very watery and aren’t consistent as each bar staff member makes different versions of the same drink

A Wonderful Stay at Iberostar Waves Club Palmeraie Marrakech!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Iberostar Waves Club Palmeraie Marrakech
, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. The resort is stunning — surrounded by beautiful gardens, peaceful pools, and inviting spaces that make you instantly feel on holiday.
The staff were exceptional and truly made my stay special. They were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. What touched me most was how they took part in celebrating my 40th birthday. Their kindness and thoughtful gestures made the day unforgettable and added a personal touch that I’ll always remember.
The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the themed evenings added extra fun to the dining experience. My room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable — the perfect retreat after a day in the sun.
From the entertainment to the service, everything was top-notch. Iberostar Palmeraie is the kind of place where you can fully relax, feel genuinely cared for, and enjoy every moment.
Highly recommended — and thank you again for helping make my 40th birthday so special!

Excellent service. The staff was very attentive about our needs.
The food even if it was a buffet was good. The traditional meal is excelent.
Soufiane and Abdelhama were very nice and funny. Althought it will be nice to have even more traditionnl dishes.
There are activities for everyone and that's very cool.
I will keep a wonderful memory about Fatima's couscous, Abdelhama's mint green tea and Fatima's daughter who accepted to draw henne on my hands event if it was not supposed to be done during the activity.

I very rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this hotel was so poor that I feel compelled to share it. This property should absolutely not be advertised as a 4-star hotel. While kids might enjoy certain elements, adults expecting comfort, cleanliness, and basic service standards will be very disappointed.
From the moment we arrived, the problems began. Check-in took over 40 minutes, with no sense of urgency from staff and no acknowledgement of requests we had made ahead of time (eg babysitting). When we finally reached our room, we found dried blood on the side of my daughter’s cot — utterly unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one claiming to be 4-star.
Housekeeping standards were low. On two separate occasions, the cleaners made the beds with damp sheets. The balcony door didn’t lock, which is incredibly unsafe when travelling with a toddler. One of the main lights in the room didn’t work, meaning we couldn’t see into the wardrobes at night. It was eventually fixed after we complained, but it’s clear that no one checks rooms properly before guests arrive.
Basic amenities were also lacking — there were no kettles or coffee facilities in the room, and the WiFi only worked patchily outside the main buildings. In the mornings, there was no hot water and the shower pressure throughout the day was barely more than a dribble.
Food was another low point. At breakfast I was served an omelette that was completely raw in the middle — I’m pregnant, so this wasn’t just unappetising, it was dangerous. To add insult to injury, the hotel also requires a deposit of around £10 per towel for pool towels, which is certainly not in keeping with a supposed 4-star experience. The whole process was also convoluted - tokens were paid for and collected at reception but towels had to be collected from the other side of the site (a location that was not even next to the pool).
Perhaps most concerning of all, when I took my daughter to use the bathroom in the kids’ club, we were greeted with three unflushed/blocked toilets that had clearly been like that for hours — a truly disgusting and unhygienic situation. I was very relieved she wasn’t spending any real time in there.
Finally, loud music plays until 11pm every night and can be heard clearly from the bedrooms, making it impossible to get a proper night’s sleep with young children.
Overall, this hotel might entertain children, but for adults looking for comfort, cleanliness, and basic quality — it fails on every level. It desperately needs a review of its management, housekeeping, and food hygiene before it could be considered even close to 4-star standard. I am genuinely perplexed by all the positive reviews and have to wonder if they are genuine.

Great hotel not too far out from the centre of Marrakesh. The rooms and some of the communal areas are a bit tired and dated but clean and comfortable enough. The buffet was always plentiful and food all tasted delicious. Having been to an Iberostar in Tunisia we knew the cocktails wouldn't be the best but they are pretty good. Service above all was amazing and everyone was friendly. The main pool wasn't our preference with music and activities on a daily basis but the zen pool was brilliant though can be difficult to get a lounger the later in the day you get. The highlight for us are all the cats who are clearly looked after by the staff. The shuttle bus was convenient to get to town to visit the sites. Would recommend
