Where do I begin?
We were a stag group of 29 people staying at this hotel, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived.
The check-in process was poorly organised. Rather than checking us in at the main reception, we were directed behind a wall to a separate desk. Staff then spent around 45 minutes trying to allocate everyone to rooms individually, instead of simply providing the six rooms we had booked and allowing us to organise ourselves. This made for an unnecessarily long and frustrating start to our stay.
Things didn’t improve at the pool. We were informed that we could use any of the pools regardless of the colour of our wristbands. However, after arriving at one of the pools to relax following our flight, we were approached by a lifeguard/security member who spoke to us in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. His attitude was rude, confrontational and completely unprofessional.
Following his instructions, we moved to another pool where we had been told we were permitted to stay. It was around 6:00 pm, and we were immediately told we could not buy alcohol because the pool bar had closed, that there were to be no ball games, and that we were not to make any noise. While we understand hotels have rules, it seems contradictory to actively accommodate large groups such as stag parties while enforcing restrictions that make it impossible to enjoy the facilities together.
We raised our concerns with reception, but the response was dismissive and essentially amounted to, “It is what it is,” with no attempt to resolve the situation.
As a result, we decided to leave the resort for the evening and spend our time elsewhere.
The following day, we returned to the main pool. We were making a point of tidying up after ourselves and carrying our empty Sprite cans to the bin. Despite this, another security guard accused us of being disrespectful, claimed that “people from England never clean up their rubbish,” and then made an offensive hand gesture towards us. When we challenged his behaviour and asked why he was speaking to us in such a disrespectful way, he suddenly claimed he didn’t understand English. We were then given a “final warning” simply for questioning his conduct.
The behaviour of the pool staff throughout our stay was unacceptable. We expected professionalism and basic courtesy, regardless of whether we were part of a large group.
The rooms were also disappointing. Housekeeping standards were poor, with bedding and towels not being changed as expected during our stay.
Overall, this hotel fell well below expectations. The attitude of the staff, particularly around the pool areas, completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable trip. I would not recommend this hotel to large groups, and unfortunately we will not be returning.

Highly recommended place to stay. The property is excellently located, making it convenient to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation options. The service was outstanding from check-in to check-out, with the staff being professional, attentive, and exceptionally well-trained. The food was delicious, offering great quality, variety, and presentation. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return in the future. A perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, great hospitality, and excellent service.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The pool area is clean, well maintained and has the potential to be a wonderfully relaxing place to spend the day. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and professional, and the hotel itself deserves a great deal of praise.
Unfortunately, the behaviour of some of the pool attendants significantly detracted from what was otherwise an excellent experience. I fully appreciate that enforcing safety rules is part of their job, and I have absolutely no issue with staff ensuring guests behave responsibly. However, there is a clear difference between firm, professional enforcement and an unnecessarily confrontational approach.
During our stay, I witnessed several occasions where younger groups appeared to be singled out and spoken to in an aggressive manner, even when the situations seemed relatively minor. Rather than calmly managing situations, the approach often appeared to escalate them, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere around the pool.
One interaction particularly concerned me. My son-in-law politely asked why the approach was quite so aggressive, and the response he received was: "You are on your last warning, and I have your room number." We found this response unnecessarily intimidating and completely disproportionate to a polite question. It was not the standard of customer service we expected from a hotel of this quality.
This is a great hotel, and it's a shame that the conduct of a small number of pool attendants overshadowed what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay. I hope management reviews the customer service approach taken around the pool, as the facilities deserve staff who can enforce the rules firmly, fairly and respectfully, without creating an atmosphere of confrontation.
We would happily return because the hotel has so much to offer, but I sincerely hope this issue is addressed. This is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. What can I say, this Hotel/ Apartments is a joke! At time of check in was advised had to pay a €28 Tourist Tax which they charged to my credit card, told me it didn’t go through, showed them the pending statement to show payment went through. Had to get a charge back on my credit card for double payment after they demanded another card for payment. The apartment we stayed in hasn’t been decorated for years and was run down. Beds are literally as hard as a brick, walls in apartments are paper thin and couldn’t sleep due to people partying at 7:30am music full blast from the night before! Complained to reception who advised to call them if issues, but the phone in the room doesn’t work! Cleaners are a joke and don’t replace towels and show up once every few days. Life guards at the pool are so rude and no matter the wrist band you show them, they will tell you you’re not allowed at the pool. We complained to reception who said they are well aware of the issue with the life guard (but somehow he doesn’t get the sack). €12 to use a safe which is operated by a basic key and is not secure at all. The hotel literally ruined our weeks holiday to put it as simply as possible! Don’t stay here unless you’re the type who’s flat out on the gear
