Elounda Golf & Spa is a wonderful place, perfect for a few relaxing days in Crete. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the entire resort is very well maintained.
The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is of a very high standard. The pool area and spa facilities complete the experience perfectly.
We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings, and the attention given to guests. It is a place where you can truly relax and one we would gladly return to. Highly recommended!

Fabulous hotel and we got a free Upgrade upon arrival an amazing surprise. The renovated room are great walking or golf cart to the beach is scenic and beautiful. The Spa has complimentary sessions by Grit Hammer, I did yoga and Pilates in the morning before breakfast and I feel revived. I would definitely recommend.
The Dip
Without a doubt, this was the worst five-star hotel experience we’ve ever had.
Much of the hotel looked nice, but the service and food completely ruined the overall experience.
The food was disappointing throughout our stay. The quality was far below what you would expect from a five-star hotel, with limited variety and meals that were often bland and uninspiring.
The service, both at breakfast and dinner, was absolutely terrible. For a five-star hotel, it wasn’t even close to the standard of a three-star hotel. The tables were barely cleaned. There were still food leftovers from previous guests, attracting ants everywhere, making it unpleasant to eat. Even the floors were constantly dirty and appeared to be cleaned very infrequently, if at all.
Ordering food or drinks was equally frustrating. Waiting times were extremely long, and in many cases, no one came to take our order at all. This happened repeatedly, for example during the football training sessions and when ordering at the bar.
The staff did not take responsibility, and the whole operation seemed poorly managed and without proper leadership. There was no sense of organization or accountability, and nobody seemed interested in solving problems.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. The many positive reviews are difficult to understand and do not reflect the experience we had.
The location and the beach were excellent, but that was the only real highlight of our stay.
Stay away from this hotel—you’ll regret booking it. The advertising and promotional photos create expectations that the hotel simply does not live up to. We left feeling deeply disappointed and would never return.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! This is definitely one of the most outstanding hotels we have stayed at. I’ll briefly list the main points so that anyone planning to visit can quickly get a good idea of what to expect.
What we really liked:
1. Attention to small details. There are many thoughtful touches that make the stay more comfortable and pleasant. For example, water, juice, and dried fruit are available at reception, and near the beach entrance there is a convenient place to wash the sand off your feet.
2. Private seawater pools. Many rooms have their own seawater pool, which is absolutely amazing, especially during summer when travelling with children.
3. Excellent staff and management. The staff are very attentive, but in a natural and genuine way rather than being overly formal. The hotel clearly has very good management. They even allowed us a late check-out without charging anything extra, which we really appreciated.
4. Very good housekeeping and room service. Housekeeping came twice a day, water was regularly brought to the room, and every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful.
5. Beautiful beach and large outdoor pool. Both are excellent and located very close to each other, which makes everything especially convenient.
6. Good location. The hotel is close enough to the city — a taxi costs around €12. There are plenty of shops there. Also, if you need groceries, Euro Market, which is about a 10-minute drive away, offers free delivery to the hotel.
7. Very convenient transportation inside the resort. They have small shuttle cars that usually arrive within 2–5 minutes and take you wherever you need to go around the property.
8. Clean and well-maintained. The entire hotel and surrounding area are very clean, beautiful, and well cared for. Overall, this is unquestionably a high-standard hotel.
9. Plenty of space for guests. Whether you go to the beach, pool, or restaurant, there always seem to be available sunbeds and tables. You never have to walk around searching for a place, which is a huge plus. To me, this also shows that the hotel does not overcrowd the property just to maximize revenue.
What could be improved:
1. Children’s activities. This is probably the area that needs the most improvement. There is a small water park, which opens at 11:00 and is free of charge, but it only has three slides. Our children became bored after about 15 minutes. More activities and entertainment for kids would make a big difference.
2. Water at dinner. One bottle of water during dinner costs around €5. For a hotel of this level, this feels unnecessary, and in my opinion, basic water should be included.
3. Spa access. The spa costs around €40. Personally, I have rarely seen a resort where basic spa access is charged separately, so we decided not to use it. To be fair, having a pool in the room meant we did not really miss it.
4. Breakfast. The breakfast selection is not very large and is quite repetitive from day to day. There is enough food and nobody will leave hungry, but this is definitely an area that could be improved. Some dishes could also be a little more flavorful. That said, we were not unhappy with the breakfast overall.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel offers a high level of comfort, excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and many thoughtful details.

A Truly Amazing Stay – Like Paradise!
We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at this hotel as a family of four from Scotland, and we’re already missing it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the staff who couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming.
The hotel itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, with stunning views that really make it feel like a slice of paradise. Our kids absolutely loved the pool – we could barely get them out of it!
The food at the buffet was always delicious and fresh. The only thing we’d suggest is maybe having themed nights to add a bit more variety – but honestly, we were always happy with the options.
We’re already planning our return – if we could stay here forever, we would! Thank you for an unforgettable holiday. See you again soon!
