Stayed here for a week for my family holiday. Some of my experiences.
Good stuff:
WiFi in the apartment
TV - Decent channel listing
Fridge, dishwasher, iron, safe, phone
Own patio
Aircon in living room
Two standing air fans available
Good pools and are close to the accommodation
Decent food in the restaurant and at reasonable prices.
Staff very friendly
Located in a nice area
Cleaners did a great job and were in and out quickly.
Stuff that could be better:
Consider extending aircon to bedrooms - very hot at night
The aircon condenser in my apartment could do with a clean. It was fully blocked and would run more efficiently if able to breathe.
Modernise the room decor and furniture in the apartments. Looks very dated.
Replace the patio sliding door - I reckon it was from the 90s and for us it was a struggle to slide open. The lock was gone and to replace it, a sliding bolt (that you might see on a cupboard) was screwed onto the door and a hole drilled in the frame to lock it. That is not great security and looks poor.
Curtains or blinds for the kitchen windows would be useful - had a ground floor apartment.

Handy to bring cash for towel deposit €10 per, refunded upon return
Checkout the evening before if you have an early departure.
Its a 7 min walk to the nearest supermarket (Spar), downhill, so bear that in mind if coming back with heavy bags, you'll be going uphill.
Its a 20 min walk to the Marina.
Overall I'd say not a bad place at all, but I think would be equivalent to a 3 🌟 in IRL/UK, so manage your expectations.

We visited 6-14 june 2026, stayed in apartment 8111, whilst we were a little sceptical due to mixed reviews we actually had a lovely time here, the apartment is spacious, clean and well laid out, plenty of storage space, safe for valuables, and fully fitted out with the exception of an oven but does have a two ring hob, it had lovely views front and back of both swimming pools, a 15 minute walk to the marina. The grounds are well kept, the restaurant was very nice, serving eat in or takeaway, staff were all fabulous, highly recommended.

Gorgeous hotel. Friendly staff. Queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently. A quiet location about 15 minute walk downhill to the Marina and about 15 minutes taxi to Albufeira. Nice to get back to after the buzz in The Marina and Albufeira. Air conditioning in the living area so we kept bedroom door open to get benefit. Only quibble is 2 single beds pushed together. Would have preferred a double bed.

Marina Pine Forest is situated about a 20min walk or 5 min taxi from the Marina in Vilamoura. The apartments are on a hill which may be a factor for some. There are two pools one of which has a bar area. We stayed in block 1 which is old but kept clean and well serviced. We had an issue with odour and in fairness to the management they did offer to move us to another block but we declined. Each block is no more than one storey above ground level. Overall it was fine.

Had a great stay here. Very quiet area, but only a ten minute walk from the Marina. The apartment was a little tired looking, but very clean and had everything you could need. The staff were very friendly (one receptionist even lent me €2 to cover a taxi fare - I paid it back fyi 😄)
The communal pools were lovely and well kept. Location wise the hotel is in a quiet residential area. Very peaceful. Only a short walk from the marina and local supermarkets, and only 5 or 6 euro in a taxi if you dont want to walk. All in, its a very reasonably priced place to stay, and I'd definitely stay again.
