Marina Pine Forest is situated about a 20min walk or 5 min taxi from the Marina in Vilamoura. The apartments are on a hill which may be a factor for some. There are two pools one of which has a bar area. We stayed in block 1 which is old but kept clean and well serviced. We had an issue with odour and in fairness to the management they did offer to move us to another block but we declined. Each block is no more than one storey above ground level. Overall it was fine.

Had a great stay here. Very quiet area, but only a ten minute walk from the Marina. The apartment was a little tired looking, but very clean and had everything you could need. The staff were very friendly (one receptionist even lent me €2 to cover a taxi fare - I paid it back fyi 😄)
The communal pools were lovely and well kept. Location wise the hotel is in a quiet residential area. Very peaceful. Only a short walk from the marina and local supermarkets, and only 5 or 6 euro in a taxi if you dont want to walk. All in, its a very reasonably priced place to stay, and I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel is a series of units. We were towards the back and found it to be a nice quiet setting. The neighborhood is in a posh, secure residential area and was about a 15 minute stroll down to the waterfront. We like to walk and so this setting offered us the best of both worlds. Our timing was during low season so crowds were not an issue for us at all.

We are staying for 6 nights end of march - beginning of April. Its a nice setting, out of the downtown area, but easy enough to walk to it (20 min). Our room has large living room, well equipped kitchen. Good wifi.
There is a great restaurant onsite with good food and prices. I took a dip in one of the pools. We walked to the local spar for a few items to snack on. Staff has been beyond wonderful. Even helped me get my phone set up. They could not have been nicer.
Very happy with our accomodations.

We arrived 9.15pm having been delayed at passport control for well over an hour and didn't think we'd be able to get a meal. (We were half board. ) The restaurant stayed open for us. The food is okay. Good selection for breakfast, but we were disappointed that veg soup was offered every evening. The other option was always good. The chicken piri piri one evening was basically chicken and chips.
My friend and I, both in our eighties, were given 1st floor apartments. We had requested ground floor when we booked but think that hadn't been passed on. Fortunately the very kind gentleman receptionist carried our cases upstairs. The was no way we could have carried them ourselves.
The apartments were very clean and were cleaned everyday. They were well equipped although being half board we didn't need to use anything. No problem with the beds. We slept like logs.
The only thing about our apartments in blocks 22 and 23 was that there was a slope going to them. This, we feel, needed a hand rail especially for oldies like us! Also the slope on block 22 was poorly lit.
We walked to the marina every day and didn't find walking back a problem.
A suggestion - how about a shuttle bus to the marina/Spar? We felt sorry for the people we saw struggling back from the Spar with heavy bags of shopping.
We did enjoy our stay and would return but would make sure we had a ground floor apartment.
