Honest review here. Hotel is shockingly bad. The rooms look like they haven’t been decorated since the 50’s, the food looks like slop in the buffet area, my room was dirtier when the cleaner left, somehow nail clippings were all over my floor after she washed it (I never clipped my nails) If you like an early wake up call here is perfect for you, the cleaners will start a deep clean of an empty room at 6:45am……sounds like they’re dragging the furniture around the room for 2hrs. This happened 3 times, once above us and once on either side of us. The pool area has very little sunbeds for the size of the hotel. There is however ones you can rent. Only cash payments at the pool area (great way to dodge the tax man) who brings cash to a swimming pool..?? The rooms look nothing like the photos online so prepare yourself for disappointment. Self catering room, knobs missing from oven, numbers missing from hob, dishes from the 50’s, cutlery looks like it was used to dig a tunnel out of prison, blankets look like you took them with you from said prison.
It’s not too late to book somewhere else and save yourself the agony of dealing with this mess of a hotel. One, maybe 2 star hotel at best. I’ve stayed in a 2 star hotel in Marrakesh that was better than here…..if you know Morocco, you know what I mean
The A/C is probably the only good thing about this hotel, room is nice and cold

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at paraiso de Albufeira aparthotel , located at Hotel paraiso , R. Do municipio 8200-161 from [3/7/25] to [8/7/25]. Unfortunately, my experience was far below acceptable standards due to both severe cleanliness issues and a bed bug infestation. We had to cut it short and leave immediately we couldn’t even spend the night!
Upon entering my room, I immediately noticed that it was not properly cleaned. The floors were dirty, the bathroom had visible grime and hair, and the linens appeared to be unwashed. Even more concerning, I discovered bed bugs in the bedding. As a result, I experienced extreme discomfort, which not only ruined my stay but raised serious health and hygiene concerns. We had people screaming down the corridor, multiple things broken and just generally felt rather unsafe.
This experience was both distressing and unacceptable. I expected a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, and the condition of the room fell far short of even the most basic expectations. I took photos and would be happy to share them if needed for further investigation.
well as confirmation that this issue will be addressed immediately to prevent future guests from going through the same ordeal. I also suggest a thorough cleaning and pest control treatment be carried out in the affected room(s) and an overall review of the hotel’s cleanliness. Please check the reviews before staying here!

Avoid at All Costs – Ruined Our Holiday.
We had to cut our trip short by four days and book emergency flights home due to bed bugs and an allergic reaction to the bites. This hotel is filthy, rundown, and absolutely not what it advertises.
Everything from the rooms to the pool was in a shocking state. Cracked tiles around the pool had moss growing from them, and the room was filled with broken furniture and grimy surfaces. The buffet was a complete joke — the food was barely edible and extremely limited, with hygiene that left much to be desired.
Evening entertainment was like something you'd expect from a knockoff butlins kids show— cheap, disorganized, and embarrassing. It felt more like a bad stag do than a family holiday, with rowdy groups partying and openly doing drugs in the hallways until 3am every night.
The only saving grace of the place was the reception staff — genuinely kind, helpful, and clearly trying their best despite the situation. They were apologetic and understanding when we voiced our concerns, but there’s only so much they can do when the entire hotel is in such poor condition.
This is not a family-friendly resort and I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. We’ve never had to leave a holiday early before, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Currently staying in this hotel. Must agree with other reviews here, I booked as a Family Holiday as this is advertised as a family hotel. There are definitely many families around but I feel the evening entertainment is half arsed. The hotel is in dire need of renovations to be honest. Rooms are dated and worn. I booked for myself, my fiancé and my 4 year old. We were given two single beds and then a makeshift bed for my son which I have ended up sleeping on. The extra bed was extremely flimsy and dipped severely in the middle it felt like it was going to fall apart every time it was sat on.
We arrived on a Sunday, come the Thursday we still had no fresh sheets or fresh towels left in our room.
The gym is a separate business to the hotel so if you’re planning on using it make sure you’re prepared to pay €8-€10 per use (cash).
All of the outdoor bars at the pool are cash only also.
The beds near the pool that are on the grass or on higher ground must be rented at €10 per day (again, cash only). I found there’s a lot of hidden costs and to have paid so much money for all of this is crazy.
The Thursday night there was a power outage, not the hotels fault, but their generator only reached up to a certain floor, so floors 6-8 did not have any power and no communication was given to us staying on these floors, we had to keep going to reception to find out if our power was back which it finally was by 11pm.
The air con in the room is very loud also, the Thursday night our fan on it started rattling, so much so I had to turn it off but then noticed the floor underneath it was soaking wet; right beside the make shift bed.
I wouldn’t encourage anyone to stay here if I’m honest. I’m actually considering paying for another hotel for our final two days as this is just not good enough.
In fairness albufeira itself is becoming less and less for families, I wouldn’t return again with small kids.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. This is my 3rd time back and what a difference. They are renovating the apartment below us since the day we arrived and we had nothing but drilling and banging from 9.30am till 7:30pm. Complained 3 times and hotel management did nothing. Supposed to be a family hotel and it’s full of 18-30 yr olds partying non stop. Music blasting, screaming in the hall ways at 3am. Don’t get me started on the way they allow people to put out towels in sun loungers the night before so when you come down there is no where to sit. You end up having to but the fancy sun loungers and €10 a pop. Food is disgusting so if you do decide to stay do not go all inclusive you will regret it big time. I will never stay here again. There are much nicer hotels on the same street
