Avoid this hotel if you don't wish to spend half your money on taxis!
Or if you don't enjoy walking as this hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere.
The pictures don't do this place justice and definitely doesn't describe the local area of 1 shop which is 10 mins walking.
The rooms are very dated and old fashioned with no television ( if you can understand Portuguese ) you are fine.
The hotel offers no trips or tours. Local town is 55 min walk away! Which only offers couple tours which are expensive for what you get.
The staff are very unhelpful and rude towards you.
The restaurant offers very minimal breakfast!
The walls are paper thin, so if you enjoy a peaceful sleep then you shall not receive as you can hear everything from each apartment.
Spending 7 nights here and wishing I had booked only 1 night as it's a very disappointing stay and area.
Only good thing is that uber eats deliver right to your door.
The local shop is expensive as it takes pity of been the only shop in the local area for miles.
I feel as if I've wasted my money on this holiday as it's turned out to be a waste of time.
There's no indication that you need transport to get around the local area.

The staff were shockingly rude and completely unhelpful from the start. Despite our booking being fully paid for, they refused to allow my friends—who arrived before me—access to the property, even though I had informed them in advance. Instead, they demanded my friend pay the full amount again on her own card, claiming they would “refund mine later.” This is utterly unacceptable and borders on unethical.
No assistance was offered with our luggage, even though our house was the furthest on the property. The staff simply did not care.
To make matters worse, we were robbed during our stay—something that apparently happens often, as we later learned we were not the only house affected. When we called reception for help, their only response was, “Call the police.” No staff member came to the house, no apology was offered, and there was zero concern for our safety or experience as guests.
Also their is an ant infestation that they really need to do something about. My bed on the first night was full of ants and of course when i called the front desk they did nothing. Luckily i found some bug spray.
This was, without exaggeration, the worst service I have ever encountered. If you value your safety, your money, or basic respect as a paying guest, I strongly recommend you avoid this place.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, had a wonderful time. Apartment had everything we needed. We caught the free shuttle bus to the town daily. Staff lovely. Really enjoyed our stay

From outside it looks stunning!!! However, we had a late check in and when received the room it had a leak in the ceiling. Not too visibile in the picture but it was dripping from 3 points. We came back to complain next day morning... the receptionist said there was nothing she could do about it. The apartment is old, many insects with noise AC and super cold. Smell like dump and walls full of damage. Not impressed. The are is lovely and the town is beautiful... many nice restaurants...

Great beautiful villa to stay in. We stayed in the apartments and it was fully equipped with everything you need, ample space for more than two people really. Room service/cleaning was great. The only recommendation I'd give is perhaps offering more ways to access other parts of town through renting a cab service or scooter/bike for customers. Overall location is not too far from shops etc but you definitely need a car, cab or scooter to get around.
