Our stay at the Melia Palma Marina was exceptional! From the minute we arrived, we felt welcomed. The pool facilities are amazing, with the pool bar serving cocktails and drinks. It is about a 40 minute walk from Palma centre but taxis are cheap and the walk is very nice along the promenade. Breakfast was lovely, a huge selection and lovely dining area. The room was clean and modern, and the super king bed was incredibly comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the TV is not a smart TV which would’ve been nice, and there is only a plug on one side of the bed. Besides that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

So we booked through booking.com. It was mentioned that we could pay at the propriety, we couldnt we had to pay in advance, the app just didn’t let you book without paying. It was mentioned that there was a free ride from the airport to the hotel. There wasn’t none. We looked for it in all the settings booking had, there was nothing regarding a free ride to the hotel from the airport. Now when we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist asked for 2k + again because she couldn’t find that the payment was done, had to wait until some older receptionist came so she could confirm that the payment was done indeed. At the hotel we were told that the spa facility was not included in what we already booked because that spa didn’t belong to the hotel… so the spa that was in the hotel didn’t belong to the hotel so you had to pay again if you wanted to use the jacuzzi, indoor pool etc. The room we got, was dirty! Dust everywhere, on the floors, on the phone, on the remote, on the bedside tables. The floors were also sticky, the shoes made that sticky noise every time. The toilet had some yellow spots on the toilet seat, I don’t want to assume it was like urine or anything like that, probably it was old and it just turned yellow. We asked to change the room and they did after the first night because they were fully booked. Up to the 3rd floor you can hear the music from the outside pool area. Also some guests are absolute animals as they don’t seem to understand that even in Palma de Mallorca After 1 am people want to sleep and are sleeping. The breakfast had plenty of options what I did did not like was the cleanliness of the ustensils. Like the washed plates, forks, and everything weren’t washed ok and had dry food on them. Vegetables like cucumbers, probably were cut hours before they were served because they looked wrinkled and tasted old. The eggs for omllets were used from a big bottle like, I’m not even sure if they were real eggs in that concoction. I recommend going to Caja Major beach, that’s a natural beach and with a 10 min max ride you can get there easily. Walking to this beach takes an hour. You have another beach nearer the cathedral but that’s artificial takes like 40-60 min walking but it’s full of rocks and the waves are killers. Also don’t visit in the months of July and August, the sun will absolutely cook you alive.

For me one of the best hotels franchises. You cannot go wrong at Melia.
This one in Palma - Mallorca was just a great experience. Every employee that me and my wife encountered, was so helpful and kind.
Shelli, Helena, Waleria, Rosana and the other girls from “The Level”, the made , that took care of my room, the other one that gave us chocolates every night (sorry if I did not catch up your names) were so dedicated.

I was looking forward to our holiday here after previously staying at the Melia Palma Bay on business trips. The lobby and pool areas are lovely (although they don't have enough sun loungers) but the rooms are a different story.
We were kindly given an early check-in but the staff refused to help me while my husband returned our rental car. They simply looked on while I juggled our son in his pushcahir and the luggage trolley.
Our room was very dated, a complete contrast to the lobby. It was a classic room with a "city" view. The reality was an ugly side street. The room was in desperate need of renovating and the walls and doors are paper thin. I heard conversations in the corridors like they were in our room and also the noise of people leaving the club beneath the hotel in the early hours, even though we were several floors up.
We booked a classic room with a cot, not realising we needed a family room to get a bath. The hotel had to send maintenance to fix the sink as the plug didn't work, which meant we had no way of bathing our baby. We also weren't always given enough towels so had to ring for more. You couldn't miss the cot so did housekeeping just think we didn't need to wash our child? The one plus in the bathroom was the Rituals products.
The website advertises the hotel catering for children with toys, books and special amenities but we didn't see any of these.
At breakfast, the cold options and juice choice were good but the hot buffet was poor quality for this level of hotel. The restaurant staff were also much friendlier than the majority of those working at reception and conceirge.
We received a letter during our stay asking us to visit concierge where they had a gift for us. My husband joked it would be in return for a timeshare and he wasn't far wrong! They tried to sell us another holiday. All I had to do was listen to a 30-minute sales pitch and I'd receive a €100 voucher for the spa once I had made a booking. Based on our experience, I wasn't going to risk booking another Melia break on the spot.
We were disappointed by our stay, didn't think it was a 4* hotel and certainly not worth the money we paid. The rooms and service didn't live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend the Melia Palma Marina and won't go back.

I had a enjoyable experience at
this hotel. The first impressions were great with stunning architecture and beautiful views from the room windows. The receptionist Boni at The Level reception was so helpful and so cheerful and provided the information in such a good way that made you feel immediately settled in. The Level itself was a lovely place to hang about in and get a cocktail and have causal time outside of the hotel room. The views were beautiful. The staff were all very kind and very accommodating. The food was average with limited options in the restaurant and the breakfast buffets though the fruit was very fresh. The rooms itself were extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel is located at a quite good area, it takes around a 30 minute walk into town but with stunning views all along the promenade. The town is very homely with a excellent selection of shops and restaurants to choose from
thats more accommodating than the hotels meal options. I would recommend this hotel but I would suggest going into the town for meals, this is a good hotel for causal lounging during the day and for people on business purposes with multiple meeting rooms located around the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to get some entertainment for the evenings as if you are a family not going out late it can be quite a dull experience with not much to do.
