My family I have just returned home from the best stay at this really great hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful; rooms are lovely and modern and sea views to die for; pools clean and well managed - no lounger wars here (maybe due to certain tourist types being in the minority here, lol); breakfasts were fab. Hotel is situated so well, too, easy access to unlimited restaurants & pubs, lovely beaches. Perfect weather topped our stay. We would all love to get back here next year

This hotel is very basic and does not deserve 4 stars — I would rate it 3 at most. No one helps with the luggage and the service was below expectations. The only good thing was the breakfast, which was tasty and varied and the view from the balcony
Check in:
We had a very bad check-in experience. Although we had two rooms for 5 people and the room was clearly spacious enough to accommodate one extra person comfortably, they still refused to allow one additional guest — even after we offered to pay an extra charge. Instead, they insisted that we book an additional night, telling us “your reservation is for two nights only– we are fully booked so deal with it.” We tried contacting other hotels but they were all full, so we were forced to stay.
Adults:
please be aware that this hotel is not suitable for adults traveling without children — it is clearly more focused on families with kids.
Parking:
On top of that, they didn’t even reserve parking for guests. When I asked, they simply said “it’s full, it depends on your luck” — which makes you wonder what exactly you are paying for.
I will definitely not return, as the stay is not worth the price.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The reviews made us hesitant, but we decided to check it out ourselves. As is often the case, some reviews make you doubt whether to choose a hotel. However, the staff were friendly, and the hotel’s location is excellent. Despite being close to clubs and places where young people hang out, we didn’t hear any noise at night.
The room was great, and we especially appreciated the minibar, which was kindly restocked every day after cleaning. The cleaning itself was excellent and done on time. At first, the hotel’s layout is a bit disorienting—it’s designed in an unusual way.
The area is wonderful, and everything you need for a great vacation is within walking distance.
As for the downsides—parking. Google Maps said it was free, but in reality, we had to pay €20 per day, which is quite expensive. On the other hand, the car was in an underground garage, so at least you can feel secure.
Breakfasts were a bit repetitive but very tasty!
Overall, it’s definitely worth staying here.

We had a wonderful stay! The reception staff were very helpful and kind. Before our arrival, we had requested a quiet room via email, and we were happy to receive exactly that.
The furniture in the room was a bit dated, but everything was clean. The view from our room was fantastic, and the location of the hotel was very convenient. After spending time at the beach, we could easily return to the hotel through Hadley’s Club.
One thing we really appreciated was that we received fresh beach towels every day, which made going for a swim or heading to the beach much more convenient.
Although it was noisy outside at night, it wasn’t a problem for us on the 5th floor – once the balcony door was closed, it was quiet enough to sleep well.
The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and did a great job.
Breakfast was more on the traditional English side, and after four days of eating the same options, we found it a bit repetitive and lacking in variety.
It was a pity there was no kettle in the room, but the mini-bar was restocked daily, which we appreciated.
Everything else was great, our only real complaint is that the room had two single beds pushed together instead of a proper double bed.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Before arriving, the reviews about the hotel scared us, but from the first moment we arrived at the hotel, we felt that warmth. We left the hotel extremely happy. I've stayed at many hotels, but this one was truly wonderful. The hotel's location and comfort made us very happy. The sea is right on the hotel's doorstep. Walking distances and all the restaurants and entertainment venues are around the hotel. The breakfast is fully equipped and plentiful, appealing to all cultures. I especially want to mention the reception staff's sincerity and warmth, which pleased us greatly. They have a wonderful team who communicate well. In fact, all the staff are very attentive and skilled at problem-solving. We thank the entire team. Makara is a truly lovely, beautiful island. The people are incredibly friendly. Thank you, Mallarco, and thank you, lovely people. 🙏🙌
