Lovely stay overall - still a favourite, with a few hiccups
This was our third stay at Son Caliu and it won’t be our last. The hotel is still a beautiful, relaxing spot and we really appreciate the thoughtful touches (we even received a small welcome gift for being repeat guests).
Our standard room was great - clean, comfortable, and well-equipped - although a bit noisy at times from corridor traffic. The pool and beach are still highlights, with a lovely chilled vibe on the beach especially. That said, the pool area felt busier than previous visits, with some larger groups not always being mindful of noise levels.
We tried half board for the first time and unfortunately had a poor experience on the first night due to a lack of understanding around a nut allergy and limited flexibility with the menu. It felt quite rushed and stressful, so we chose to eat out for the rest of our stay. There are some great options nearby, and breakfast at the hotel remains excellent.
Spa facilities were a nice addition on our last day, and a couple of staff deserve a special mention - Danny on the bar, and a lovely lady at the garden bar, both of whom were fantastic.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely return - but will stick to bed and breakfast next time.

We had an amazing stay at Son Caliu Spa Oasis! The hotel was even better than we expected. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of delicious options to choose from every morning. What really made our stay special was the staff – every single person was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We would definitely come back and stay here again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review:
We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights with my husband and our 1-year-old daughter. Overall, we had a nice time, but I personally would not choose to stay here again.
The main issues for us were related to convenience for families with young children. The elevators were very slow, and the main ones were quite narrow, which made it difficult to move around with a stroller.
We also paid extra for a sea-view room, but the view was quite limited, with a road in front and only a small glimpse of the sea, which was disappointing.
The room itself did not have a bathtub, only a shower, which made it inconvenient for bathing our baby.
Housekeeping was generally done daily, however, we had an unpleasant experience where a pair of shoes went missing. Although we did not report it at the time, it affected our trust and comfort with room cleaning services.
On a positive note, the staff were mostly polite and tried their best to help. The location is good, as the city is nearby and easy to access.
However, overall, we felt the prices were quite high for what was offered. Breakfast had limited variety, especially for those who do not eat pork. Dining out was also expensive—for example, a very simple dinner for two with drinks cost around 80 euros, even in the low season (19–26 April).
In conclusion, while we had some good moments, the value for money and certain aspects of comfort did not meet our expectations.

Our stay at Hotel Son Caliu Spa Oasis was simply outstanding — a true 10/10 experience.
The hotel itself offers a perfect balance of comfort, elegance, and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Everything feels thoughtfully designed to create a seamless guest experience.
What truly made the difference, however, was the people.
A special thank you to Juan Martín and Carmen from the restaurant — their full passion, genuine care, and incredible attention to detail elevated every single meal into a memorable experience. This is hospitality done right.
And then there is Melanie at the reception — absolutely exceptional. Her natural interest in guests, proactive mindset, and ability to anticipate needs set a completely different standard. She would be a perfect fit for a Head of Guest Relations role — truly impressive.
While most of the team delivered a great experience, there is still some room for improvement in consistency across all staff members.
Overall, this is a place we would gladly return to.
If you’re looking for a hotel where people genuinely care about your experience, this is it.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained, with a pleasant environment and tasteful decoration. The front desk staff and service team were consistently warm, welcoming, and professional. The restaurant staff were also friendly, which made the overall stay potentially very enjoyable.
However, I am leaving a lower rating due to the experience with one of the restaurant managers (a man in a suit). During my stay, both in the mornings and evenings, his attitude came across as noticeably cold and unwelcoming, which negatively affected the dining experience and, in turn, the overall impression of the hotel.
If the hotel chooses to operate a restaurant, it would be important to ensure that management staff demonstrate a basic level of professionalism and hospitality, consistent with the otherwise high standards of the hotel.
