Great location less than a minute walk to the beach. Facilities are great. Swimming pool has plenty of beds and it wasnt manic trying to get a spot when we stayed. Pool also had decent food and drinks available and could be delivered to your seat which was a nice touch.
Room we stayed in had a nice balcony view over the city with a big main bed and a pull out bed. Main bed was lovely and even the pull out although not as nice was fine to sleep in with no issues.
One of us had a birthday during our trip and unprompted the hotel left white wine and a slice of cake in the room which was very thoughtful. We had a small electrical issue that was resolved within an hour or two.
Breakfast is overall decent. Range of bread options, crossiants, meat range, cereal, tea, coffee etc. They are of hotel size e.g. mini crossiants are pretty small but you can grab as much as you like. Some food may be lukewarm due to sitting a while but they often topped up when needed.
You can pay a 10e deposit per towel to use towels for the pool and get fresh ones per day, nice touch to not have to buy some.
Location wise is on the street thats fairly touristy, about a 5 or 10 min walk. However its not rammed with people and theres a police station nearby with a good presence. Plenty of nice local cafes and restaurants for a fraction of the cost less and good quality than a 3 or 4 minute walk away.

This 4 star hotel is great for value. Just across the road is the famous Praia da Rocha beach and Ferragudo town is just 15 mins away. The area has a lot of shops and restaurants and also the port where boats leave to Benagil Cave is just 10 mins walk. The rooms were comparatively big and had microwave and sink which were helpful for us specially when travelling with baby.

I stayed at the RR Hotel in Portimão from the 10th to the 15th of April and the service was excellent.
The hotel was spotless throughout, rooms, communal areas, and toilets were all very clean. Breakfast was reasonably priced with a good spread, and the staff were genuinely friendly.
A nice touch was on my birthday when they surprised me with a bottle of champagne and a cake, which I really appreciated.
The location is also great, right on the beach.
10 out of 10, I would definitely recommend and will be coming back next year.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Rocha and honestly couldn't fault a single thing.
The location is absolutely excellent, making it incredibly easy to get around and enjoy the area. One of the absolute highlights was the morning meal—the breakfast choices were excellent, with a wonderful variety of fresh options to start the day right.
On top of that, the housekeeping was top-notch; our room was cleaned daily and kept immaculate throughout our entire stay.
Highly recommend this hotel, and we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel right in front of the beach and central position, many shops nearby like restaurants, mini markets, souvenir shops and many more. We had the room with side ocean view and honestly it was stunning to wake up every morning and having the sea right out of the window. For breakfast there was a very nice buffet with many sweet or savory options, I appreciated most the fresh fruits every day and some local fresh cheeses (queijo fresco, requeijao). Also everything was very clean in every part of the hotel and excellent service at reception and restaurant. I was deeply sad when I had to leave but I know I will be returning ♥️
